  1. Thank you Jus-A-CMax. That answered my question.
  2. I just signed up for a Fuelly account. Now I want my mpg to show up on my posts. Do I copy and paste them? Thanks for your help.
  3. I love that news clip! It reminds me of my husband and I.
  4. ptjones I thought about moving but changed my mind. I've just accepted it because it probably won't last. Initially I was angry but it made me want to drive faster and that defeated the purpose of the hybrid ; ) zhackwyatt your exactly right they are losing money. You're right Jaz it would be interesting to see the originators of the bill.
  5. I would definitely buy it again! This is an interesting thread. While I was going through the shopping process I had doubts. I told myself even if I only got 38 mpg it's okay because that's still great. I think I went through every possible question in the process. Then I sat in the C-Max after sitting in a Prius. I was sold. The interior just talked to me. I just knew it was the car I wanted. I also like the high seats. My last car was a Jeep and I always liked siting in a chair instead of a cock pit feel. Now I'm getting about 42.5 lifetime at 1300 miles and I'm thrilled. I wouldn't trade the extra gas mileage for what I have. I love this car!
  6. Here is some maddening news. I live in Virginia where the Governor just passed a law that requires owners of Hybrid cars pay a yearly $64 tax. I really don't understand the logic in taxing people who are doing good. It makes sense that Hybrid cars don't use as much gas but come on….When Hybrids first came out the government was giving a tax break? Okay I just thought I'd vent a bit.
  7. I noticed that when my 17 pound dog sits in the front seat the "passenger air bag off" light is lit. When my husband sits there the light is off. Does the system automatically weigh the person/dog in the seat? If so I love this feature! :happy feet:
  8. Most of the time he's a co-pilot unless the navigation doesn't understand me. The he's the navigator ;0)
  9. Here's a picture of my husband and dog driving Max. I think Conan (my dog) loves the back seat of the car when he's not driving lol.
  10. I named mine Max. It had to be a male because I'm in love with it. I named my sync Maxine because its a woman's voice. I love the names I've seen here on the forums. They are very creative. I was surprised I didn't see another car named Max.
  11. Welcome to the forums. My C-Max is also my first hybrid. I'm having so much fun driving it, learning about it, and chatting about it. I hope you will enjoy yours as much.
  12. The car or the dog supervising me? lol Oh...he is so cute!
  13. Wow he/she sure is pretty/handsome!
  14. I saw another ice storm at the dealership this morning in Conway, SC. Has anyone seen one? I think the white and silver are the most common colors.
  15. Oh this sounds like fun! I just filled up yesterday with a little over 500 miles on mine. I'll check it out this tank so I can join this club.
  16. RachelnLa, I agree that the arm rest consol is hard to get to. I also have a hard time seeing the lower left corner of the Sync screen where the voice shows its Listening unless I tilt my head to the right.
  17. Isn't funny how having the same car can make us instant friends? I love to do the same car wave! BTW VirginiaRick we both live in Virginia and drive ice storm SELs. Wave ~~~
  18. Where does the ash tray/coin holder go?
  19. I've always used water on the interior like the dash and doors. I've always been happy with it but I'm curious to hear how you guys like other products.
  20. Okay I'm going on memory but here is my storage. I keep my manual, napkins, spork, pen and paper in the glove box. In the arm rest deep hole I keep another pen, my screen wipy thingy, hand sanitizer, store cards for grocery stores and other stores. In my side pockets on the doors I keep extra driving glasses, a small umbrella, & gloves. In the little tray beside each front door my husband keeps his sunglasses and I have a small foldable shopping bag in mine. BTW my husband loves the little strips on the sunvisors that can hold mail, coupons, or other papers. I keep Lara Bars in the small hidden compartment under the floor mats in the back seat area. I'm sure in time I'll fill them up. I also keep maps in the pockets behind the seats. Hopefully with more ideas from other owners. I'm going to think about the registrations and money ideas. In the little net things on each side of the trunk area I keep a hand crank radio, a trunk tie in case I need to leave it open. I keep my battery charging cables in the storage under the trunk area above the battery. Okay now I'm going back downstairs to have a look again to see what else I have......Okay I found a small Swiss Army knif in the deep armrest pocket and chap stick too. I also put my small brush and pan in the hidden pocket behind the driver's seat. I also keep a container with water behind the seat for the dog, a box of tissues, and a small trash can with a flap that shuts after you put something in it. In the rear net side pockets I also have raincoats that are air tight and don't take much room, a piece of plastic to cover the rear storage area if needed, a collapsable storage container for items that I don't want to fall over and finally recyclable grocery bags. It may seem like a lot but when I transfered my stuff from my Jeep it filled up the trunk area of Max. When I loaded up Max with all my goodies I felt relieved and lighter than in the Jeep.
  21. I saw another one in Myrtle Beach this month. It's silver and very sharp.
  22. Auddenhogart, I found this in the manual: "Underbody Flush the complete underside of your vehicle frequently. Keep body and door drain holes free from packed dirt." I'm not sure what they mean by flush. Do you think it could mean spray with a hose?
  23. Thanks DaveofDurham. I didn't tell the whole story. Since I reset the Lifetime mpg I drove around Roanoke about 300 miles. Then we drove to Myrtle Beach and have been driving around town for about 100 miles. In case other drivers don't know Roanoke is a hilly town so the mpg will be less. But I'm still happy with the overall 45 mpg.
  24. I have about 900 miles on my car so far. At the end of the day I still can't wait until the next day so I can drive it around town. My Lifetime fuel is about 44 Mpg for the last 700 miles. I'm very happy with this mileage since it isn't broken in yet. I was a bit overwhelmed with all that I needed to learn about the car at first but I'm now relaxed and learning a little every day.
  25. I love this color! It changes with the weather. When it's gray outside I've been told that it looks green. I like to think that it's blue plus I'm a painter so I don't see it. For those non-painters colors are not black and white but maybe a dark or light grey. When It's sunny outside it is a baby blue. I haven't actually seen it against snow yet though. Here's a funny story...when I went to the dealership to buy mine the weather forecast was for an icy mix. I'm not superstitious but I think it was a sign that I should buy it.
