Saw a C-Max in Roanoke, Va today
C-Maxgo replied to C-Maxgo's topic in Sightings - C-MAX Hybrid's Spotted!
The one I saw was yesterday at Kroger on 221. Wow you are getting great mpg! I hope you had a good time at Smith Mountain Lake. Did you find recharge stations around Roanoke? -
Wow that sounds like a great trip! I cruised on NCL to the Baltic Capitals about 10 years ago. I'm surprised you saw the CMax there. Since I've been to Europe I like smaller cars. They're all over the place along with bicycles. :shoppingcart_: I've always thought that the little satellite antenna on U.S. cars look more European.

I saw a Sterling Gray today that was pulling into the Kroger parking lot. I wanted to wave but I'm not sure the driver was an enthusiast. -
The wallpaper is the background screen that comes up when you tap the home icon in the lower center section of the screen. Here's a picture of the black wallpaper. It looks better in reality but this gives you an idea what I'm talking about. I'll probably change it to some of the other wallpaper I have but for now it looks sophisticated. Thanks Valkraider. I forgot that the car has to be running when the update is installed. Their test drive must have been at 90 mph lol.

I picked my car up today after having the update installed. I'm a little suspicious because I saw that my car was driven 9 miles and the lights were turned from automatic to the off position. There may be legitimate reasons for these things but I can't help wonder if anyone else noticed their mileage before and after taking their car in. They also messed up my lifetime mileage. Before taking it in it was 43.5 and now it's 42.8. So far I'm very happy with the update. I really like the black wallpaper.

I took Max in this morning for the 3.5.1 update. When I first took it in they told me it would be about an hour. After waiting for an hour they came to the waiting room with a loaner car. I miss Max but they loaned me a brand new Escape. It's amazing how easy it is to get used to since the interiors are almost identical. It's a very nice car except that I was only getting 18 mpg. The first thing I did when I got in the car was change the left view to average mpg. I think I'm addicted to Hybrids lol. Hopefully I'll have mine back tomorrow. I'd hate to fill up the escape tank instead of Max.

Congratulations blackonblack!

I'm having the same problem. When I talk on the phone in town and not on the highway there's no problem hearing during the phone conversation but when I get on the highway I'm told that I don't sound clear. I hope the update fixes this problem.

I saw a C-Max in Cape Canaveral on May 25th. I think it was a gray color but I didn't get a picture because I didn't have my camera out.

You could check your car purchasing papers to. See if the milage on the car when you bought it is included. I found mine on my contract.

I'll have to post them from my desktop next week. My iPad doesn't show an option to add a photo.

I traveled the opposite direction also on my first long trip. We had mostly flat roads and the same speed limit but we only drove 66 mph. We also had about 150 pounds of luggage. We were getting about 42 mph. I think we're driving the speed limit on the way home. We haven't had problems using auto fill during gas fill ups. Enjoy your trip.

Good point wab. I don't know if its a coincidence but the mifi is the only thing I've plugged in to the inverter and the mifi battery won't hold a charge any more. Hum.... Thanks wab.

I haven't tried this yet but could the iPhone app iHandy Level work as an inclineometer? Just secure it on a flat surface before starting out and watch the bubble move.

Both of my inverters stopped working. Has anyone had this problem? I've been putting my USB adapter in the inverter for the past 3 months and it worked great. The other day when I put it in it didn't work. I'm going to take it in to my dealer soon but I'm curious if anyone knows how to fix it. My husband says it could be a fuse.

Today I saw a silver Cmax in the parking lot near my Max. This car is brand new with it's new car dealer tag. I spotted it in Cocoa Beach, Florida. It's an SEL with dark leather interior. Every time I post a sighting I hope the car belongs to another forum member I noticed that this car was parked in the long term cruise ship parking lot. If the owners of this car were on the Carnival Dream from May 18 to the 14th I hope you had a great time. We were there too and loved it. We weren't happy with the parking lot because my Max had about five bird droppings and sap on the front from a tree. Next time we'll park at another hotel.

Adair I couldn't find the c max with your post. What should I type in the search field to find it? -
What's your favorite My View and why?
C-Maxgo replied to C-Maxgo's topic in Hybrid Driving Tips & Tricks
I have a new favorite My View. While taking a long trip I tweaked my driving and thought the accessory power and coach would help to teach me how to improve my mpg. The accessory power comes in handy when I had my phone, iPod touch, and mifi plugged in. Actually I unplugged everything after monitoring the accessory power. The coaching came in handy when I got better gas mileage than my sweet husband because I'm the one using all the accessories when he drives. I'm better driving in town because I've always had good acceleration and braking and he's better on the highway. I'll change it again when my needs change. For now I'm learning from these views. -

That's a very good lifetime average! Mine's 43.9. I'm getting there too. We drove to Florida on I95 where the speed limit is 70. We drove 66 and averaged about 42 mpg. We have the AC set to 73 because it was 82 outside. I thought we'd get better gas milage because the road is pretty flat but I forgot one important obstacle. The fact that we had three bags full of luggage. They must have weighed a hundred and fifty pounds. Next time I'm packing like I'm flying to Europe. Err.... The good part of this story is that the next day we had another 125 miles to drive and half way there we decided to drive on highway 1 (two lane road from 45 to 60 mph). Wow what a difference in gas mileage. We were getting an average of 50 mpg between stops (like the store for example). It was also very relaxing and we could enjoy the scenery instead of watching cars push us from behind and zig zag in and around us. sdaustin6483 you said "Oh, and if I had not said it yet today (my friends and family get so sick of me) I LOVE this car!" I have the same reaction from my family. I've never felt like this about a car before. My husband thinks I'm nuts. -

I saw an Ice Storm pass me today on I95 south between S. Carolina and Georgia. It buzzed by me while I was driving under the speed limit. I wasn't quick enough to take a picture. -
