  1. I saw a red C-Max today. I'd love for the owner of one I've seen to see their car and let me know by posting. I don't have a way to post the picture now but I saw it near Subway across from Finks Jewelers.
  2. Congratulations! I really love my Ice Storm color. I also loved the Frozen Glass color on the Escape but now after looking at my color and comparing it to the Frozen Glass I like mine better. It changes with the amount of sunlight and cloud cover so that's an added bonus. It also looks clean when it's dirty like a white car.
  3. He is Laurel. He also likes hybrid cars. Normally he barks and turns circles when a loud engine comes by while we're walking but when a hybrid comes by going shu shu shu he keeps on walking. I love it! As for cleaning my dash I still like water and when it doesn't need cleaning I use my feather duster to get the dust off. I think using water helps the new car smell last longer.
  4. You guys are making me laugh.
  5. It made me tear up and gave me chills too. He is something else! What a great voice and so many wonderful accomplishments. I'm passing it on to my friend who was born in Canada.
  6. Wow you guys are amazing! Great job!
  7. You can go to: http://www.afdc.energy.gov/locator/stations/results?utf8=✓&location=Roanoke%2C+va&filtered=true&fuel=all&owner=all&payment=all&ev_level1=true&ev_level2=true&ev_dc_fast=true&radius_miles=5 to find some in the area. All of them are in Roanoke. But Salem blends in with Roanoke so you don't have far to go to get to Roanoke if you want to charge there. This address is closest to Salem: 4426 Melrose Ave, Roanoke, VA 24017, it looks like UHall, phone: 540-366-2415. It would be best to check the web site because they give all the information you would need. If you want more information let me know. I'm surprised that Ford doesn't have a charging station. I hope you have a great time at the lake!
  8. Don't feel to bad JohnnOhio. It was in the 30's here too. I had to walk the dog in my winter coat, hat, and gloves :sos:
  9. Wow, I hope you get to see some soon. I hate when I spot or think I've spotted a C-Max and it's something else. I've noticed that our local dealership has an average of five on his lot and he's selling them. I looked at the inspection stickers an they are for March and April.
  10. Okay guys, I filled up today and got 45.2 mpg. :dogwalk: I don't have a picture of my trip because I forgot to take one. I don't have the nerve to have a tank of gas in my car if I run out so this is the best I can do. Do I get any credit? :shift: Not that it should make any difference but I'm a woman.
  11. I saw a Sterling Grey C-Max with interesting tags. Here's the picture: In case it's to blurry to read it says "WEW 1"
  12. I just fueled up today and got 45.2 mpg. I still have a way to go to 47 mpg so I'm going to give it another try. My husband who's very competitive :worship: will be sharing the driving with me on our way to Florida. I've been filling him in on all the mpg stats I've read about on these forums so it will probably take us a lot longer to get to Florida than it used to. It's going to be fun! :happy feet:
  13. Mums the word Azureblue. I kept mum about mine but wanted to get it early enough to beat the other C-Max owners in VA. I've never had a vanity plate but this is such a special car I thought it was time. I can't wait to see what you choose.
  14. Tee Hee Hee! You'll be coming into my neck of the woods on your way to Harrisonburg. I'm going to visit family in a few weeks too and will be going north on 81 to Hagerstown, MD. I hope I can get 50+.
  15. Here's a picture of my new tag. Anyone else have new tags?
  16. That's looking good! It's only going to get better too. Our weather has been in the 60's and I've been averaging 46.5.
  17. I love ECO cruise. I use it when I have someone in the car with me that I'm talking to so that I save gas without thinking. That's interesting that you saw ECO cruise use the hill assist. I'll have to watch mine next time I climb a hill with it on. You said: "They must drive it like they stole it." lol, funny! :hysterical: I've been averaging about 46.5 this past week but we're going on a trip soon so I hope to bump it up. I still believe that the mileage will improve after I reach the 3000 on the odometer. The town I live in is very hilly so it's a constant challenge to find the flattest route.
  18. You are on a roll Jus-A-CMax! Enjoy the camaraderie.
  19. Great mpg's guys! I'll be taking a long trip next week where I hope to practice getting better gas mileage.
  20. I'm another child of the 60's so if I'm not listening to NPR radio I'm listening to Cat Stevens, The Eagles, Abba, The Bee Gees, The Beatles, Kenny G, Rod Stewart, Simon & Garfunkel. And because of my hobbies I listen to podcasts about knitting, Mac Observers Mac Geek, Car Talk, The Dog Trainer's Quick and dirty tips. I find it very interesting that there are so many people around my age that own a C-Max.
