  1. DTE is not very accurate. I managed 25 miles past 0 miles DTE with gas still in the tank. Feathering is the fine art/science of gliding the car with minimal drag allowing the car to stretch a pulse over a longish distance. There are posts discussing Pulse and Glide(P&G) techniques of which feathering is one. Check those out and then try it out yourself.
  2. I have been really working on my P&G techniques. This means I avoid highways and freeways most days. I used to use Eco Cruise to manage these stretches of my drive. Now I manually manage my speed, this causes me to keep my foot constantly applying pressure for most of my drive. I find that my knee(which is dodgy on my best days) really gets sore. I keep changing my foot position to find the sweet spot between comfort and control, no luck so far. Anybody else figure this out yet? I love my Max and would like to be as comfortable driving it as I was in my Camry Hybrid.
  3. I am very much a hypermiler. Taking cues from the board I have really changed my habits and of late my driving routes. I have been accused by my salesman of driving like an elder, but that is getting me 60mpg on my latest tank. I avoid 55mph+ zones whenever possible even adding a few miles and minutes to my daily drive. While I have no intention of getting to 800+ miles per tank( at least for now ;) ) I will squeeze as many MPG as I can.
  4. So Jus, I'm dying to know what the final numbers are... Long Live The King :worship:
  5. Just curious, what is your build date. I have not had any difficulties so far with mine built in early Feb 2013. There are a couple of threads about Auto Lights with Auto Wipers, Manual Says they will work, experience says they don't. The Auto Lights do work when using constant speed or quick speed manual modes. If you want to know more about Auto Wipers Auto Lights check the other threads.

  7. I made it to 700! Just as Jus is making it to 800+ (The King is Jus - Long Live the King :worship: ) 704.1 is a tank I am very proud of. I suspect this will be my last super tank as my routes pretty much are set and this is the absolute highest MPG I think I can wring out of the Max at this time. That and Gas Prices are so volatile where I live that I want to fill any time there is a dip, because when the dip reverts it is typically very close to $4 a gallon. I am really proud of my little car and hope to keep the mileage up! Onward 600 Club!
  8. Congrats, that is truly amazing. I have found that the route does make a huge difference even if slightly longer in time and miles it pays off in MPG. The King is Jus, Long Live the King! :worship:
  9. Gee whiz, Jus I am just now getting towards 700 and now you want 800! Give a guy a break :) I look forward to your achievement o great fuel saver! Good luck and food terrain!
  10. Congrats Adair it only gets better from there ( until fall and winter :baby: )
  11. I found my cmax on a dealers website, but have not been looking elsewhere. I have seen the national ads but nothing local other than websites. ( I live in the St Louis TV market)
  12. I have an AT&T iPhone 5 (ios 6.1.4) which was a bit buggy with 3.1.3 sync but works great now with 3.5.1 text( receive only :baby: ), USB, Bluetooth (phone and stream). I really only miss the text reply but I can sorta use Siri for replies. Good luck finding a new phone, Hopefully that will cure your sync woes ( personally I would wait at least a week to be sure it is the phone)
  13. Here is my latest tank, gas was 87 octane E10. I filled up with 93 octane E10 to see if I can catch up to Matt and Jus... My lifetime is showing 47.5 ( non-reset from dealer) And I put in 12.57 gal this fill ($50 OUCH) onward from here!

  17. Here is the results of my latest trip up north. I got 53+mpg on the way north and 49 on the trip back south with the average being then 50.1 mpg. I did this on regular gas (e10). I was pleased with the results. Peace, Fr. Bill

  19. Jus and Matt are you still running on Premium? Just wondering? Thanks for all your info!
  20. Hi Adair, glad you got jelly bean back. I have uploaded my phone book there is some switch in the phone settings screen that allows this, and transfer will take some time. Also when your phone book loads you can say " Call Home" ( Home being the name of a contact) If you want to dial a number you say " Dial 618-555-5555" I hope this helps!
  21. Well I saw something over at syncmyride that said the iPhone would be usable with update :( unfortunately it is not, but everything else is peachy. The update took almost three hours but is now working great. The dealer said I was the first update for them. Now lets see how it works from here on out.
  22. So Jus, I wonder if ICE High only works on flat roads. I never seem to be able to keep it in IH because in southern IL I am always climbing a hill. I have tried to keep it in IH but on a hill the battery assist kicks in on a hill. I find that keeping at 55 I just get more consistently high MPG. Just wondering if I am missing something.
