  1. Two Months. 3300 Miles with 1354 of those as EV miles. My Lifetime mileage is at 44.9 MPG, close enough to the EPA number that I can not complain. So we cannot be happier, what a fun car to drive. Thank you to the more experiance owners that have taught me their secrect to the higher milage returns. I have found my sweet spot is between 59-61 MPH. at that speed I will get 46-49 MPG on my Daily Commute. Running without AC will boost my MPG by 1-3 MPGs. I have drove Max on three of my favorite motorcycle roads and have found the car to be really good fun on the twisties. No issues with the steering. In fact I have enjoyed the steering more than the steering in the Mini Cooper. The Car just goes where you point it. I am glad I got the car UnderCoated when I bought it. There is a big difference in the lack of road noise because of that addition, worth the cost. Granted, we have only had the car for two months, but I will say, the Honeymoon just has not ended.
  2. I have used it twice without issues. I appears to only take a few seconds and I get a beep for reeived mail on my iPhone. I really think this is a nice feature.
  3. Received a letter today for Program Number 13B06. It is for the Dealer to Preprogram or replace free of charge the Rear Gate Trunk Module. With my travels, I have not been able to drop my car off. We have had to do a double kick for the Lift Gate to operate properly. I to the point were the first kick unlocks the Gate and the second kick energizies the Gate Mechanicals. Now I will drop it off and go ahead and get the Wing Deflectors, Mud Flaps and the Rear Bumper Protector added.
  4. Would someone PLEASE unpin this and let it drop into the depths of unwanted postings? I did not join this Forum to have the Forum Police decide who and what kind of questions, and how many time they can or could be asked. Everytime we are blessed with a new member, they will have questions. The great and wonderful ability of a good Forum, is that there will always be a member who is willing to answer thier question. I will be the first to thank the older members for being kind and aswering my early questions and not handing me a citation because I did not find the answer on the Forum first. So please, lets unpin this, and remove the Chest Pounding from this Forum. I really do enjoy the information, and the other Members and the experiance they bring. I really adds to the enjoyment of owning my new C-Max.
  5. I found and started to read about the C-Max. I read about the good mileage, even though it wasn't making the EPA numbers. Then one day I decided to get some quotes through AAA, Cosco and a local Dealer. When the quotes came through AAA won the cost bids and I went and test drove one. We talked and the dealer told me to take the car overnight and drive it. The drive home was in Rushhour traffice, and by the time my wife got to drive it a bit, we were back at the dealer signing the papers. In less then two hours, we had a new Max, and haven't regretted it since. The last tank we got 46 MPG. Summer is hear I still don't make the EPA's number, but you know what? I really don't care. We have a great car that is very comfortable and best of all it is fun to drive, and has turned into a great Commuter Car that I get to put 125 miles a day on when I am not on Travel.
  6. Since we will have our 3 yr old grandson with us this weekend, I put his seat in the Max for the first time with no issues. He usually rides in Grandma's Xb, so this will be a new experiance. We have the Evenflo seat, and I went ahead and put it into it's faceback 'newborn' position and I was able to put the seat all the way back. BTW, I love having our Grandson stay over now. How much fun is it to be able to play with toys again :)
  7. Thanks for the info. I checked mine and all is good. Sorry to hear about your problems, I really hope they get them fixed and you can really enjoy your car.
  8. Right now with a new engine and only 2300 miles, there is no cost savings with paying an extra 4+ dollars a tank. I will probably do a relook once we finish our early fall vacation loop and we are able to add a hefty 7000 miles to the Max.
  9. I really don't have an issue with the steering at all. I find the driving experiance to be enjoyable, and I am really past the age of road racing. The twisties that I have driven have been a fun no sweat experiance.
  10. I traded my Truck for the Max and my wife is driving my car more then her Scion Xb. My work takes me away for weeks at a time so she claims my car. She is gloating that she was able to get 49.76 MPG on the Max's last tank of gas. I really wish I was home enough to be able to drive MY car for a whole tank. We are already taking about getting a second C-Max.
  11. The Dealer has provided me with a Rental. It is cheaper for the Dealer to provide a Rental.
  12. I am using my iPhone to listen to my books. The books are loaded into my Audiobooks Playlist and that is how I access them through my Sync. They have all worked well and help with the daily 3 hour Commute.
  13. I have had this screen since I got the Max and really enjoy the info it shows. It's funny, I was not able to access these screens on my Rental Max's.
  14. Got mine with the 303A package, PanaWindow and haven't looked back. Using the Park Assist to great Success when I am force into the District for my work. Now that I have learned the Voice Commands, I am really enjoying what I have.
  15. Just ordered mine through NuShield for 17.00+3.00 Shipping. Have to depart for a job, so it will be here when I return the end of this month.
  16. Thanks for the great info StoBro, I have saved the info for my Max with The Tire Rack and will put the Tire Set on order in early Oct. I will store my Summer Tires with my Wife's tires. Hmmm Two sets will really take a bite out of my workshop. Oh Well, Safety Counts.
  17. No I was offered the C-Max or a Toyota Camery. I don't pick my car up from the Airport anymore since most Airport pickup hit you with a 20-45% Tax/Fees. So I Taxi to my Hotel, check in and usually walk to the local Budget Rental to pick up my Car.
  18. Welcome to the site and enjoy yourself here. There is some great info here for you. It is already looking like my wife is thinking about trading her car in for her own C-Max.
  19. I ended up buying my C-Max through my AAA Discount. I saved more through AAA then I would have using my COSTCO discount. Infact, the COSTCO Dealer wanted me to order my Max and were not willing to do a search for the Model I was interested in. In the end, I got the Max I wanted using AAA and did not have to order my car.
  20. I went to the site to sign up and found out into is not encrypted. So for the same reasons I have not joined Pandora, I can not join Truedelta until they get a true site encrption.
  21. For my efforts of going green. I now get to pay a Tax for my Sins
  22. I hope you go with the C-max. My wife now perfers my Max over her Scion xB. I have to transfer our Grandson seat from her car to my Max whenever I go on travel. In fact I does appear that the seat will just become a permanent backseat rider. As for safety, my wife feels safer driving the Max over her xB. Good Luck on your choice, BTW we love our C-Max.
  23. Just got back from a 2 week job where my C-max rental was getting between 50-53 MPG in an 11 mile Rush Hour Hotel to Work Site daily loop. At home I have a daily 140 Mile commute and I am getting 42-46 MPG depending on traffic, route, temp and Driving Style. I drove a friends Prius and then a the C-Max and I was hooked. I just wish I was home more so I can drive.
  24. Welcome Jon, from the other side of the beltway.
