Other vendors have a light on the blind spot area of the side mirror that lights up when a vehicle is in the area. It makes you look harder just like daytime headlights it snaps you out of auto pilot. In my case in both times I looked at the mirrors to make a lane change and I just tuned out the blind spot section. I think we should all look at them but just like daytime headlights making a difference this will too. I am just hoping its just a software fix and not an issue with sensor capability.

One thing area I have almost gotten into serious trouble a couple of times is the little blindspot mirrors on the side mirrors. They really just don't stand out enough for me. I wonder if through a software upgrade if the proximity sensors for parking and hatch would be able to tell you if there is a car next to you in your blindspot. I have seen other cars do this and really like it. Either that or improve the side mirrors to be more obvious for the blindspots.

Good to see somebody is here and listening. I will start with some wishes: 1) My car has air conditioning controls. I would much rather we be able to repurpose the MFT quadrants for other purposes. IE choose what each quadrant is used for. For example be able to see the car hybrid status in the quadrant. 2) The right side dash display - I would like to be able to add displays that are only on the left and put some of them on the right. I feel like I can only choose one or the other. The leaves just don't do it for me. 3) The obvious one is support for Siri through the cars audio system. 4) The NAV system should be able to read contact information from your phone without a clunky in between download. Also Use SIri to google it and say "GO THERE" all via voice. 5) How about a trip summary of your driving behavior that could tell you multiple examples of why your mileage is poor: Warmup time cost this much Breaking cost this much Acceleration cost this much Maybe even show mile by mile example with map overlay.

The dealer activates it as part of the sale. You typically get 6 months and then it starts barking at you to renew.

Threadjack question! For those people who use park assist to get into very tight spots, how is is when you have to get out on your own???

I had to re-enable bluetooth on the phone after the update.

I would like a mode where it can remote run the apps on the remote device. Sort of a HDMI connection if you will. I see no reason at all for the HVAC controls to be in MFT - they should replace that quadrant with the auto status screen.

I just know that my wife and I have the exact same CMAX parked in the same driveway. My average is 45.5MPG and hers is 37MPG. Why because she drives 2 miles to work each day and the car never warms up and I drive 20 miles to work and half is on the freeway. I would love to do the same test with a Prius or an Accord.

Lets wait till its in consumers hands and see if we have a standard deviation similar to the CMAX.

I see four maybe five everyday. Of course the factory is directly across the freeway from where I work and there is a lot Google/Apple/Facebook money about.

Hmm. I tried it on WIndows and Mac. I inserted the USB drive. I watched it mount. I then clicked on the link in the email and got a page that "Report Update". I clicked on the link and got a spinning circle. I then got a JAVA warning and I clicked unblock/allow and it continued to spin until it times out and says you needd Java.

Has anybody successfully done the second part where you report it back to the ford.

Check your and your wifes employee benefits. We were able to get X-Plan pricing + $1k Ford Promo last november through my wifes employment. Which gets you the car at Invoice with no games and you can apply any Ford promotions on top of that.

+1 on this. I know Ford is talking about tweaking and adding buttons on the next go around. So it will be interesting to see how they change this screen in concert.

Hybrids have such a large variablility between drivers that I am not sure what they should use. My wife and I have the exact same CMAX SEL models and she averages 8-10 MPG less than me. I drive an even mix of freeway and street averaging 20 miles each way. She drives primarily city streets. I believe the difference correlates to two major factors. First, She drives much shorter distances and does not get her engine adequeately warmed up and second she drives with more of a lead foot and accelerates more than I do. The display's have a nice brake score but they should have an acceleration score as well to indicate how much of a lead foot people may have.

The problem is my previous car did that to indicate the doors were locked. They really should change the tune on the horn honks to be more in your face when this happens.

I get 54-57 MPG going to work every day and about 40-45 going home. My overall average is 48 right now. Of course Its not warm and I dont really drive much over 60. I drive 20 miles each way to work. Half of it is a busy freeway. My wife drives 1.5 miles to work and she can't get over 38MPG. Clearly there is a warm up penalty. I reset my lifetime once I got past breakin and a few hiccups where I forgot to turn the car off (Its so quiet). I do notice big drops if I go back to my old behavior and play race games with other cars or I run the AC.
