  1. Have any of the high mileage users, or others had occasion to have had to replace their high voltage batteries? I'm just curious. I remember that the original warranty was for 100,000 miles on the batteries and I've exceeded that in my 4 years ownership. So I was just wondering if this is something I should start planning for or if the actual usage lifespan should well exceed that number. My feeling is that one should see an increase of the charge/discharge cycles or decrease in the length of EV usage that should be noticeable when they reach their end of life cycle. But, I really don't know. So I'm just posing the question.
  2. Last night I got the Change Oil Soon display to come up on the left screen of the dash, now it is showing Oil Change Required. I'm trying to remember how long we are allowed to drive after these displays come up? I am thinking it's 500 miles, but don't want to be steered wrong. So far have driven about 204 miles after first displaying.
  3. I drive a 2013 C-MAX Hybrid SEL with MFT / SYNC2 - v3.8. I recently noticed a problem related to selecting nearby POIs using the steering wheel controls. Specifically, when selecting POI categories on the dash, the list displayed is the same list of categories, and not a list of POI destinations. For example, when I select Fuel Stations, I get a brief "please wait" message and the display flips back to the category list. I never see the list of nearby fuel stations. This issue does not occur when using the MFT touch screen. According to (http://outofmytouch.com), this bug has been around as far back as September, 2013, almost THREE years ago from today. Is Ford currently supporting MFT and SYNC2? Will Ford support MFT & SYNC2 in the future? How do owners of MFT / SYNC2 vehicles get fixes to known and documented hardware and/or software issues?
  4. As someone who is interested in purchasing a C-Max, what did the dealer tell you about routine maintenance costs that hybrids have that regular cars don't? Also are there hybrid components not covered under the 8y 100,000 coverage that we are responsible for? Thanks
  5. I get 3yr /36,000 mi free maintenance on my current car. does Ford do this on the c-max and others in their line and if not how much are the first 3 scheduled one's cost for those who have had yours a while now (over 30,000 mi) and if not why don't they match this of other car mfg ´s?
  6. Hi All, I just got my new C-Max today and am very excited. I was obviously offered the opportunity to purchase these extras at "great" prices. I declined them all with the option to buy them all at the same price for a while after purchase. Do you guys think any of these things are worth it. My wife is convinced the alarm for $295 that is "shock sensitive" (supposed to detect 10lbs of pressure applied to the car while locked) is worth purchasing, but I am wary. Also I noticed that my car isn't eligible for the online purchase of these plans so I can't check pricing. Any advice would be much appreciated.
