Kelleytoons
We're into the 80's for the next few days, as this rain pounds us (and you, but I guess not lowering temps there). What was interesting was that I hadn't changed the A/C -- it was set for 73 degrees but since the outside temps went to 75 or a bit less the A/C didn't work as hard, I guess (this is the first car I've owned where the A/C had a temp control. Other vehicles were either A/C on or off, with only the amount of cold controlled by a knob that certainly didn't pay any attention to the actual effect inside). ScubaDadMiami
59.8 MPG for a 44 mile trip. Not bad, considering 100 percent air conditioner usage. This is round trip, not just a leg of a trip. I dropped off a friend (from my building) at the airport. Never shut down. Just pulled up, opened the back, unloaded briefly, and then headed back home. Same route there and back. Flat terrain. Edited October 7, 2014 by ScubaDadMiami Jus-A-CMax and ptjones

Kelleytoons
Now that the weather here has cooled off I'm routinely getting 50+ mpg on nearly any trip -- last night both to and from The Villages (about 20 miles from us) we averaged 55 mpg (over a mix of mostly 50mph speeds -- some 40mph, some 60mph, but probably averaging 50). I'm assuming that's because we don't use the air conditioning, but I'm also assuming it has something to do with me putting air in our underinflated tires. Now, I know that when we have to start using the heater it will go down again, but we don't need much heat here in Florida so perhaps it won't be too bad. IMG_6082med.jpg Well done kostby!!! You are SO FIRED from Toaster Review.org where they buy their OWN toasters to prove that are impartial ;) I think this and the 600 thread just proves in REAL WORLD driving that the CMax is capable of > 47 original EPA -IF- the driver has enough braincell to understand the CMax and how she drives :victory: Edited October 26, 2014 by Jus-A-CMax ptjones, C-MaxSea and kostby
