I get mine frequently. I'll have to check the settings.

1992 Pontiac Sunbird. Pretty blue color, but had approximately 40hp. Power locks and windows, though. Didn't have that one long until I got my ghetto-fied 1994, 2dr, red(pink) Escort.

What's it doing?

Don't wanna brag, but I managed this today.

This also has been happening to me. It only started happening after I ran my first report.

This looks like a good solution to keep the strap off of the B Pillar, too. I sometimes have to try two or three times to get my finger behind the belt.

This x1,000,000. The majority of Americans also probably think that 'highway' means higher speeds.

Yeah, I spend a lot of time on the interstate and I always have to take a paper and stick it under the vanity mirror flap. It's a poor man's giant visor. It's a PITA to do it though.

Are there replacements available that extend? What about ones that can pivot at the roof? I find that it does a pretty poor job of covering any part of the side window.

Negotiated an alarm and remote start install with the purchase of my car. Take it in and they can't finish it because they need another special module for the car and according to the tech, "this car kicked my butt". Not exactly thrilled with that statement. Anyways, apparently I'll now have 2 keyfobs - the stock one and the 'aftermarket' one. Is there a Ford fob that I can get to control the whole system so I don't have to carry two fobs?

On highways/interstate speeds, it doesn't seem that the car gets very good FE. I have a ~80 mile trip to work with 90% of it at higher speeds. I'm lucky to get anything above 35mpg by keeping it at the speed limit and ECO cruise. I am only managing a 5-7mpg increase in my FE compared to my mazda 3.

Holy crap, thanks for the dissertation! I usually already coast to lights as much as possible for this very reason. I've been doing it for years in my other cars too. When coasting, is the car regen-ing electricity for the battery essentially the same way as the brakes do, just starting later in the chain of components? If so, then we bypass some of the extra inefficiencies, right?

Name one like and dislike with your C-Max?

Like: awesome sounding Sony sound system. Dislike: mediocre gas mileage. -
I ran across this post on Reddit. It looks pretty awesome and I'd bet that some of the more enterprising members could implement this. May help with FE research.

1,400 miles cross country, driving with the flow of traffic
bigalpha replied to Jmonty's topic in Fuel Mileage
It was my understanding that Ford actually performed the tests. Additionally, when you buy a car that is advertised at 47mpg then aren't you buying a tool that's supposed to be right for the job? Also, isn't the comparison between the FE now and a previously owned vehicle not really applicable here? -
That's a snazzy app. Anyone know of something that does that for iOS?

1,400 miles cross country, driving with the flow of traffic

Hey, don't feel too bad. I only average 33mpg on my way to work (1.5 hours). ~ 10 miles city (35mph-45mph) ~ 39 miles Interstate (75mph-80mph) ~ 33 miles 'highway' (65mph-70mph) ECO cruise set the majority of the time with limited hard acceleration. Here's a rough track I take to work. LINK -
Can you use A4 card with old software?

Thanks. That's why I thought too. -
My dealer just told me this. Is it true? I was under the impression they were not compatible.

MFT mostly non-function - how to reboot?
bigalpha replied to bigalpha's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Okay, thanks for the update. I pulled fuse #67 yesterday and it rebooted the MFT and fixed the issues I was having. It even seems more responsive now. On the plus side, I didn't lose my presets or destinations. -
MFT mostly non-function - how to reboot?
bigalpha replied to bigalpha's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Thanks. I cannot access the 'Master Reset' function through the touchscreen, cannot use USB drives at work and don't have the tools right now to pull the battery cable. Looks like I'm pulling a fuse. Thanks for the help! -
MFT mostly non-function - how to reboot?
bigalpha posted a topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
So after my attempt to get access into the diagnostic menus of the MFT, I can now no longer load the diagnostic menus. More importantly, many functions of the MFT no longer work either. 1. The phone menu is only partially functional; I cannot switch phones or edit settings 2. The Navigation feature will only allow me to see the map; I cannot do anything related to routes either with the touchscreen or by voice command. Most of the buttons also don't load anything. 3. I cannot access some of the MFT settings menus either. Other than restarting the car, is there some way to reboot the MFT system to its factory settings? -
I just didn't want to reset the trip ODO and erase the EV+ locations. I use Trip1 for each tank and Trip 2 for "lifetime".

So you know that fancy set of menus that you can access by holding the 'eject' and 'seek up' keys? I successfully got into mine and poked around the menus, seeing what I could see (the GPS stuff was neat). Anyways, when I try it now, the screen just goes black and no config menus pop up. Radio still works and I can switch the input. I have to restart the car to get the screen back to normal. Any ideas on how I can get the config screen back?
