  1. Luckily I have the panoramic roof on my mostly barebones SE :D
  2. the way i see it is if it gives slightly more power with no real down side i'm all for it.
  3. for pure electric i'll probably get a Tesla in two to three years, if they release a model that's ~$30k for now though they are in a way higher class than i care to enter.
  4. just in case anyone missed the neutral note from the owner's manual: "Neutral: It is not recommended to idle the vehicle in position N for extended periods of time because this will discharge your high voltagebattery and decrease fuel economy. The engine will not start, and cannotprovide power to the hybrid system in position N."
  5. Oh cool! My car was built on the 12th anniversary of my joining the Army
  6. Had Sirius in my last car. No way I'd have it again unless maybe I was traveling across country 8+ hrs a day every week. Streaming Google play music, pandora, or mp3s or even CDs (lol) is a much better option IMO.
  7. I know! I noticed on Yahoo autos there is a '14 Focus Electric. Maybe a pure electric cmax will be next.
  8. How about a Cmax ST? :D An option for an ICE with about 20% more power would be nice. Of course FE would suffer but the option could attract more interest and profit for Ford.
  9. I haven't heard much about variable cylinder engines lately. Seems like that'd be a good route for a hybrid rwd/awd/4wd v6+. They'll probably mate ecoboost with a hybrid system though.
  10. Dang. I get 37 mpg with the cruise control set at 75-80mph. It's really easy to stay well above 40 mpg, when keeping the speed under 60ish mph.
  11. I'd go get it today but my dealer service department had no idea about the update still.
  12. The stereo system is a bit lacking, esp compared to the shaker 500 system my mustang had. the storage space in the center console is awkward, but spacious. That could be improved somehow. And I think I'll get an aftermarket net for the back. I've already lost a jar of salsa to my carelessness, lol
  13. 79 Thunderbird. Was OK. 85 Ford van 78 Ford station wagon
  14. Ya, I should have posted that link. Google alerts for c-max brought that to my attention :)
  15. Interesting quote: "EPA has followed Consumer Reports' testing with interest and are evaluating their claims. As with any of our engineering evaluations, if the results indicate an alternate approach would be more accurate we will update our procedures and processes to ensure that the fuel economy label is as accurate as possible."
  16. There is a good stretch of highway by my home that's ~25 miles all slightly down hill at 60-70 MPH. Managed ~85mpg for that little stretch, but for sustained speeds over flat ground 70+ MPH I believe there is no hope of attaining close to 47 mpg with a stock car. Which I'm fine with.
