Apparently he has had customers that have left the keys in the car so he is trying to cover all the bases. I think this is a common problem and the easiest to fix from their perspective. I would also think he was trying to get as much info to figure out the next step. IMO Thank goodness for jumper battery's in the mean time. :) Paul

C-max MPG not calculated correctly
ptjones replied to mbedit's topic in Maintenance, TSB's & Recalls
The problem as I see it is that the GPS says it's 2% farther. ;) Paul -
jamebrew "- Accidentally hit the emergence alarm on the remote. Then hit lock and shut off the alarm. battery was dead when it was time to drive home." I didn't know there was an emergency alarm on the remote. :) Paul

There is no replacement for cubic inches IMHO. I also had 76 Cobra II, 84 SVO,86 SVO Comp Delete which I raced SCCA, 03 MACH 1 and 08 Shelby GT500. As you can see I'm an all kinds of Mustangs Fan. :) Paul

2014 tire Aero Dams available from FORD
ptjones replied to ptjones's topic in Accessories & Modifications
No, but I will check with FORD tomorrow. :) Paul -
This is getting off topic some, but Late 60's were fun being a Mustang Fan my First car was 68 California Special GT 390ci 4speed and traded it in on a 70 MACH 1 Super CobraJet 428ci Auto w/ Drag Pack. It was a lot of fun racing at Orange County Raceway, forget gas mileage 5-10mpg. That car would be worth a ton of money now. LOL :) :shift: Paul

Used Techron at 60K MPG's when down 2 for that tank, but when up 5 for the next tank. I have been using BJ's and Kroger Premium for a while now averaging around 53mpg with City/HWY mix. :) Paul

2014 tire Aero Dams available from FORD
ptjones replied to ptjones's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Nice install, were there any slots for the Dams pins to slide into? I cut my pins off before installing them. I don't know why FORD put the dams where they did so I put the Dams in front of the Tires where I thought they would do the most good aerodynamically. :) Paul -

C-max MPG not calculated correctly

I got this from Garmin: Thank you for contacting Garmin International. The satellites send a signal once every second. A curvy road should not have any affect how the satellites work. Today's GPS receivers are extremely accurate, thanks to their parallel multi-channel design. Certain atmospheric factors and other sources of error can affect the accuracy of GPS receivers. Garmin GPS receivers are accurate to within 15 meters (49 feet) 95% of the time. Generally, users will see accuracy within 5 to 10 meters (16 to 33 feet) under normal conditions. Factors that can degrade the GPS signal, which can affect accuracy, include the following: 1) Ionosphere and troposphere delays: The GPS signal slows as it passes through the atmosphere. 2) Signal multipath: The GPS signal is reflected off objects such as tall buildings or large rock surfaces before it reaches the receiver. 3) Orbital errors: Also known as ephemeris errors, these are inaccuracies of the satellite's reported location. 4) Poor satellite visibility: The more satellites a GPS receiver can "see", the better the accuracy. GPS units typically will not work indoors, underwater, or underground. Hopefully this clears up the GPS accuracy question. :) Paul -

Connecting an aftermarket item to the 12v battery
ptjones replied to BoomerGer's topic in General Discussion
I wonder if there is any connections left in fuse box that you could too? Paul -
It still used same HVB, CMAX & FFH 2013 used 1st Li Ion Battery which has twice the range of FEH. Paul
-
And 2010 FEH was an improvement over 2009, ICE didn't start when you started it. Weight is more important for City, Aerodynamics for HWY. Paul
-
I had a 08 and 10 FEH's and I got up to 42mpg City/HWY and up to 35mpg HWY vs 34/31mpg EPA estimated. I'm getting about 60mpg City/47mpg HWY in the CMAX Hybrid. FEH has 177hp vs CMAX 188hp and will slip the tires if you get on it hard from a stop. It's all about the torque when it comes to accelerating off the line. CMAX gets 8.1sec for 0-60mph, 2sec. shorter than Prius V. :shift: :superhero: :arrive_alive: :) Paul

I find most FORD Dealer service writers pretty forthcoming about problems when I talk to them. They don't work for FORD and they want to help their customers as much as they can, it's in their best interest to create good will with their customers. :) Paul
