Did you notice any improvement in mpg's being able to adjust down the camber? :) Paul
-
Got my new lug nuts and they seem to work great. Picture with new and old for comparison. :)

Here is one of mine. I got my New Lug Nuts so I flipped tires side to side to reverse the rotation after Dealer did front to back. Even with 50 psi in my tires the center has more rubber than the outside which has a little more than the inside. :headscratch: Paul

Good Luck :) Paul

Had my oil changed with FORD's Standard oil this time and I will watch for a difference, nothing so far. :) I used Mobil 1 0-30 last time and here is the BlackStone Report: Looks like I can go to 16-17k ICE mi./ 35k Odometer mi. Paul

After getting 64k and 60k mi. on my first and second sets of tires and only 1/32" difference between inside and outside of Michelin Energy Savers and I could have gotten another 5+k mi. but was going on Winter trips and wanted the extra tread so I replaced them. The feathering I'm seeing is making the noise and I think can be controlled by reversing the rotation every 5-10k mi. by using the crisscrossing the tires. :) Paul

Got my third oil report and looks like I can still farther on mileage, maybe16-17K ICE mi. -
You haven't found a low mileage CMAX to replace it with yet? Do you have a option list? Maybe we could find you one. :) Psaul

Just a reminder that when you rotate your tires(5-10k mi) do it in a X pattern, Right front to left rear, left front to right rear so direction of rotation is reversed every time you rotate the times. This will minimize the noise issue. :) Paul

How to Drive a CMAX Hybrid/FFH to get Great Gas Mileage
ptjones replied to ptjones's topic in Hybrid Driving Tips & Tricks
I tested MADMAX to see if the ICE is running in Neutral does it charge the HVB and it does. :) The opportunity for this to happen is pretty rare, but can be done when you first start up the Hybrid Model as it needs to lubricate the trans so the ICE runs for a little bit above 35mph. Paul -
I can live with rust which will take awhile vs not being able to get my socket on the lug. I could afford to put new lugs on every year for ten years compared to replacing the FORD ones once. :drop: Paul
-
They didn't say so I don't get it. :headscratch: To me the only important things are 12mm x 1.5 pitch and 60 degree angle. Paul
-
Well I went ahead and ordered the silver lug bolts and will see how they work in a few days. :) The worst that can happen is I'm out $12. Paul

I heard back from eBay supplier and here is the lug nuts they recommend:https://www.ebay.com/itm/20-Black-Bulge-Acorn-12x1-5-Lug-Nuts-Cone-Seat-fits-Chevrolet-Corvette-Impala/292009464403?epid=519256434&hash=item43fd1ed253:g:AAUAAOSw241YXg-O&vxp=mtr These are the ones I want to buy:https://www.ebay.com/itm/20-Chrome-Bulge-Acorn-Lug-Nuts-M12x1-5-Closed-End-Fits-Honda-Acura-Ford-US/302055628194?hash=item4653eb1da2:g:06EAAOSwq1JZIoJy&vxp=mtr That's my problem. Some how they must be cheaper to make. How to Drive a CMAX Hybrid/FFH to get Great Gas Mileage
ptjones replied to ptjones's topic in Hybrid Driving Tips & Tricks
Couple of days ago I had to get my oil changed and tires rotated so I took my wheel and fender covers off. The next morning went to work and on the way I have a stop sign stop then accelerate about 100 yds uphill and then down hill for a half mile. Once I reach 40 mph I put car in Neutral and coast down the hill, only got upto 45mph. The next day with covers on I did the same thing with no wind again and got upto 50mph. I knew they made a difference of 2 mpg, but now 5 mph too. :) YouTube video views upto 3640. Paul -
I have using a 3/4" socket, I'm worried that the aluminum covers will break and then I'll really have problem. My aluminum caps are lose and it is just a matter of time before they fail. Hope the solid ones will work. Paul
-
I have to hammer the socket on to get it to work. Then it is a real pain getting them off. the size is 12mm x 1.5 pitch and 60 degree angle. still waiting on eBay supplier to explain why won't work. Paul

The correct Part # is CV6Z-1012-D but I don't want to spend $120 for 20 lug nuts and have them screwed up again. Here is a eBay Motors listing https://www.ebay.com/itm/20-Chrome-Bulge-Acorn-Lug-Nuts-M12x1-5-Closed-End-Fits-Honda-Acura-Ford-US/302055628194?hash=item4653eb1da2:g:06EAAOSwq1JZIoJy&vxp=mtr and they are only $12 for 20 lug nuts. :headscratch: Paul

Has anyone found inexpensive solid replacement lug nuts for CMAX OEM wheels? The ones I've seen say not for oem wheels. :headscratch: Paul
