  1. They could be the same, it would take a side by side comparison for me to see. :headscratch: Just looked at Fuelly and 2016 Hybrids(20) averaging about 38.5 and 2017 Hybrids(6) 44 mpg. Looking at the mpg#s( I believe Fuelly.com screwed up for the 2016) I think 2016 should be 42 mpg and 2017 44 mpg. Not a very large sample #. Paul
  2. Marlidog "The battery charge now occurs when I would say "coasting" meaning not accelerating at any speed. It also occurs at the time of braking as it used to. It has not ever reached full charge ever as yet while the other car a full charge occurred regularly." This is confusing to me. The only way the HVB is charged is by the ICE running, Regen braking and Regen coasting in Drive, It is extremely difficult to fully charge up HVB. The only way to charge the HVB full for all 2013-17 CMAX's is to have a long down hill decent. A 2-3 year old HVB has less capacity then new one so it would fill up quicker. It should be rare that you fill up the HVB, I don't think I have ever filled up the HVB coming down West Bound I-40 into Albuquerque so I'm curious how you are doing it. :headscratch: BTW I had my Trans replaced at RICH FORD. :) When I drove the 2017 CMAX I started out with ECO Mode and immediately reminded me of driving a Prius so I turned it off. Using my EV to 15 mph, then accelerate at 2 Bars to 5 mph over cruise speed, then go into EV I believe is the best method to get the best MPG's from my experience. :) I drove the 2017 in the rain, 55*F OT and 46.3 mpg so you factor in 2 mpg for rain and 3 mpg for 15*F below 70*F for standard comparison temperature I get 51.3 mpg which is very good. :) Paul
  3. Trans fluid doesn't need to be changed until 150k mi., you can monitor trans fluid temp with ScanGaugeII if you think you have a problem. Paul
  4. Would have been nice if this reporter had monitored our Forum, I'm sure his MPG's would have been better. :) I sent him an email on our Forum and the MPG's I'm getting. Paul
  5. When I did a test drive in a 2017 CMAX Titanium I thought it got a little better MPG's than my 2013 SEL. :headscratch: Did you check your tire pressures, I run 50 psi. Paul
  6. On my PowerStroke 2006 I put on Airaid air filter system and Hyperteck programmer on second setting and got up to 21.5 mpg going 65-70 mph. Averaged 20+ on the HWY. :) Paul
  7. Have the service adviser seat in the back seat and duplicate the issue with you driving. :) Paul
  8. LOL :) I didn't know there was a race going on. :) Did you get your wheel covers and oil pan heater on? Don't give up, as long as the number is going up you're doing a good job. :yahoo: BTW I'm upto 51%EV. Paul
  9. My Life Time Score went up to 49.2 mpg today with 166k mi on Odometer, only 1 1/2 months, 3k miles from last improvement. :yahoo: You Tube Views up to 3100 now too. :) Paul
  10. Went up another 0.1 mpg to 49.2 MPG Life Time Score in a month and a half, 3K miles and with 166k miles on the Odometer, which shows that anyone can improve their Life Time Score. :) Paul

  12. Your C-MAX is 2019? Does this mean you don't have it yet and it probably won't be a Hybrid? :headscratch: Paul
  13. I believe someone has put larger tires on, to me it doesn't look like there is any extra room. I did the same thing at night once and it sounded bad, but I couldn't find any problems. :yahoo: Paul
  14. Can't do anything without the Codes to see what's wrong. There are many possibilities. Paul
  15. Now don't go getting paranoid on us, I have 166K mi. with 68K mi on second Trans and everything is working so far and getting great MPG's. :) Hope to make it to 300K, what a inexpensive car to own. :happy feet: Paul
  16. I bought MADMAX for the MPG's, so until someone comes out with a better MPG tire I'll stick with the OEM Michelin's. :) Paul
  17. Looks like you need a new cover, not sure if you could find a good used one. Otherwise try to reinforce and glue the old back together and making sure all the screws are attached at all times. My clearance maybe slightly more, 1/4 inch maybe and I'm been running 50 psi for 150k mi. I guess you could do like the NASCAR guys do and put spring rubbers in some how. LOL Paul
  18. Here is a Link on how to get the best gas mileage thread I started: http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/6568-how-to-drive-a-cmax-hybridffh-to-get-great-gas-mileage/ This car can be a lot of fun to drive. Paul
  19. I just got back from a Light House Challenge in Maryland over the weekend. Temps were in the high 70's to low 80's and was using A/C about 70% of the time, still averaged about 54 mpg for about 2300 miles. I'm a little surprised that I did as good as I did with using A/C so much. :) Also my Fuelly average went up 0.1 mpg to 48.2 mpg with 166K mi. on the Odometer. :yahoo: You Tube video views up to almost 3K now. :) Paul
  20. Not alot of members Posting, but I've noticed I get alot of views.:) Paul
  21. Well YouTube CMAX/FFH videos views are up to 2800 now and still climbing. :) Was trying to get some usefully info from Fuelly.com for MPG's for our cars but finding it problematic in that some of the results don't make any sense. It would be helpful if they separated out the Energi's, Hybrid's and ICE CMAX's and Fusion's. Paul
  22. You kind of learn to start your turn farther out than what you are use to doing. Just takes practice. :) Paul
  23. Welcome to the FORDCMAX Hybrid Forum. :) :welcome: What kind of MPG's you getting? Paul
