[Rachel: " I currently have these moisture absorbing disks in the bottom of the cup holder. I highly recommend them. Stops the bottom from getting icky."] I had a Eureka experience today, speaking of the cup holders. In my last car, I was able to remove the rubber inserts to clean them, and wondered about the best way to clean the ones in my max, since they didn't seem to come out. But while playing with them, low and behold, I found that the bottom of the cup holder IS removable. Maybe not as eventful as mpg's, but I thought it was pretty special! :)

If anyone could get the record, it's you, Laurel! :worship:

Gultim, I'm really sorry that you are having disappointing results with your mileage. But I agree with Laurel and Jus-A-Cmax about being patient with the mileage (and the weather). One thing I noticed in your posting that is very similar to other posters with poor mileage (mostly in cold areas) was your last line: "besides this, I do love everything else about the C-Max and have been WOWed by it many times." For whatever reasons, almost everybody on this forum loves this car, even if they are getting poorer mileage than expected. Hang onto that feeling and give it a chance to live up to your expectations when it gets warmer. It may not get to the magic 47 number, but I'll bet that you'll be doing much better than your current 37.

Jus, you're just having too much fun!

Recommended Dealers for Purchasing and Servicing a C-Max
roninsd replied to darrelld's topic in Lounge: Off-Topic
Got mine at Drew Ford in La Mesa, CA. Salesperson was surprisingly knowledgable about the C-Max, and FMT/Sync. Very personable, and not pushy. -
Welcome, Pkay. This forum should give you a headstart on learning about your new toy!

More useful for the Energi, I think, but it's still kind of cool having it on the hybrid.

The Ruby Red was my second choice. Pretty car!

I really feel for those of you waiting patiently for your ordered cars to arrive. I just went online to check the inventory of the dealership where I bought my CMax almost 2 months ago, and found 11 SEs and 6 SELs (hybrids) of various trims. I guess I'm in a lucky demographic. Keep the faith: the wait will be worth it!

Don't need the car to do the dishes -- I have Siri on my Iphone to take care of household chores!

I agree as well, Laurel. If you want the lights to come on before you get to the car, you need to hit the button on the fob.

Would you buy the CMax if the advertised MPG was below 47/47?
roninsd replied to Jus-A-CMax's topic in Lounge: Off-Topic
MikeB and other Energi owners: Do you have a recharging station at your workplace, or are you able to get there and home again on one "battery fill."? Has recharging at home increase your electric bill significantly? Just wondering. -
Congrats, Rachel! Hopefully your patience will pay off!

Wow, not a very happy first meeting with your new car! Like Laurel, I've been problem free for the most part (aside from clock and MFT issues). Hopefully, your dealership be able to get you back up and running in short order. Please let us know how things fall out (so to speak).

I have wanted a hybrid for several years. When I saw the C-Max I was intrigued. I never expected to get the EPA listed mileage, but the 40 MPG I'm getting now is much higher than what I was getting. I love getting 500 miles per tank as opposed to 300! I love the feel and look of the car. Yep, I'd buy it again! -
It's difficult to adjust the ambient lighting unless it's dark.

That sucks! I feel lucky that I was able to get mine in just a week.

KC, SE or SEL?

I've had a problem with my clock messing up time twice in the last month, but still no battery problem (dying).

How to put car into accessory mode
roninsd replied to Laurel's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
Valkraider, thanks for the info on turning on the radio (with car "off") by pushing the radio button. Duh!! I need to experiment more. Easy solution without worrying about turning on the "Acc" mode. -
NO electrical/power problems (yet) -- SEL basic. 300A package. No electric hatchback. Standard radio (no Sony). No NAV.
-
No problem so far with my SEL.

I like the idea of stating model, and if there has been any battery issues, just to add to the info for those having this issue. ME: NO electrical/power problems (yet) -- SEL basic. No electric hatchback. Standard radio (no Sony). No NAV. Anything else we should mention to help out with diagnostics?

Welcome! A lot of good information shared on this forum. I just filled up for the second time in 5 weeks (900+ miles). Better than my previous once a week! Enjoy the forum (and, of course, the car)!

Yes, on the driver's visor.
