I just sent you a list of questions, Ron. :) We'll call it weekend homework, LOL! Rebecca
-
You're welcome! When you get a chance, please PM me your VIN. I'd like to take a look at a few things for you. Rebecca

Were you able to get into the ADVANCED menu by following Shaay's instructions, Ron? It looks like your phone is a pre-paid type phone; is that correct? We tend not to test these types of phones since a lot of them have connection issues. However, that doesn't mean we can't get it working again. If you were able to perform the reset, please delete SYNC from your phone and try these pairing steps: http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/sync/phone-setup/how-to-reverse-pair-your-phone.html?sync=sync Let me know how it goes please! Rebecca

Hi oz10k, I'd like to help! What type of phone do you have? Also, pressing the PHONE button takes you to the PHONE menu. You can scroll to RETURN then ADVANCED. Hope this helps! Shaay

2013 SEL - Bluetooth "Pairing Failed" error
FordIVTteam replied to SillyBear's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Hi SillyBear, Since I'm unable to recommend a fuse pull, I'd like to see what other troubleshooting you've tried and go from there. Also, have you tried turning Bluetooth off and on on your phone just to see if that helps? You can also call the Service department at your dealership to see if they recommend a hard reset to SYNC and what their suggested way is. Let me know what else you've tried when you get a chance. Rebecca -
You're welcome! Since I'm only trained on SYNC and navigation, the garage door opener and gate are out of my scope. My counterparts at FordService can answer that for you though. Please reach out to them here: http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/user/1579-fordservice/ Rebecca

Hi rjam, The iPhone won't allow texts to be sent via MyFord Touch (MFT). We just released an update for MFT that allows use of Siri Eyes Free, but I don't think the iPhone 4 is compatible with Siri. I hope that helps clear this up for you! Rebecca

Hi Kelleytoons and raadsel, For future reference you can re-download your phonebook by pressing the GEAR WHEELS, selecting SETTINGS, pressing PHONE, scrolling down to MANAGE PHONEBOOK, and pressing DOWNLOAD next to re-download phonebook. Also, please keep in mind that MFT identifies file size change. Meaning it may not recognize adding or changing one entry as that does not adjust the current file size of your phonebook, but adding or deleting multiple entries will encourage MFT to re-download your contacts. You can use the steps above if you need the system to update your entries in between that time. I hope this helps. Whitney

I apologize; I didn't see that you're located in Canada. When you call to make your next service appointment, just mention that you would like them to report the install for you. That way they'll be ready to do it when you get there. Rebecca

Hey Louder North, Have you tried running a Vehicle Health Report? If not, give it a try: http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/myford-touch/vehicle-health-and-performance/how-to-run-a-vehicle-health-report-with-sync-with-myford-touch.html?sync=my-ford-touch If that doesn't work, the next time you go to your dealership for scheduled maintenance, you can have them read the module and report the install back to us. Rebecca

Hey Louder North, How did it go? Were you able to get the installation completed? Let me know. I'm happy to help. Whitney

Hi MichaelM, A subscription to SYNC Services is not required to run a Vehicle Health Report: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/myford-touch/vehicle-health-and-performance/how-to-run-a-vehicle-health-report-with-sync-with-myford-touch.html Hi Kelleytoons, Try "NAVIGATION VOICE GUIDANCE OFF". Let me know if that works for you. Whitney -
complimentary sync service mft
FordIVTteam replied to rjam's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Hi everyone! Older U.S. vehicles did come with a complimentary three year subscription, but current U.S. vehicles will receive a complimentary one year subscription if it has MyFord Touch. MyFord (the non-touchscreen SYNC system) does not come with a complimentary subscription; however, SYNC Services can be purchased for $60 a year. I see the links to the SYNC Services info have already been posted, so I won't bored you with that. :) Holler if you have any questions! Rebecca -
MFT update to v3.8 has been released
FordIVTteam replied to raadsel's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
There's no difference in the update files. It's just how they named it since they added it to the site after it was originally released. My support is still working hard to get this resolved, Bill. Sit tight! Rebecca -

Hi Nshogren, Like ls973800 stated, you can use a USB flash drive to add wallpaper. Unfortunately, the system is not designed to see the pictures on your phone. I hope that helps! Rebecca

MFT update to v3.8 has been released
FordIVTteam replied to raadsel's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Hello everyone, We are working hard to resolve this for you all. Some of you may have to visit your dealer due to other modules needing to be updated. As soon as my support sends me information on individual VINs, I am PMing you back to let you know the verdict. Those of you that have already installed the update, your cases will be closed. Please be patient while we work on this, and again, I'll let you know once I hear back from my support. As far as the extended warranty on MFT, that does cover the main module and updates for five years from the original date of purchase. After the warranty runs out, your dealer may charge you for software updates. Rebecca
