I bounce back and forth across the spectrum. I have been listening lately to Journey Revelation, first album with Steve Perry's replacement doing lead vocals. Then I go back to listening to Christian Contemporary music (i.e. Steven Curtis Chapman) on Spotify or on the only radio station I listen to which is KLOVE radio.

Just wanted to share some news I got today from my sister who bought a 2013 Fusion Hybrid SE. She asked me if I got in the mail notification that Ford was soon going to release new software for the MFT issues, like clock error, error in GPS. I told her I had not got anything in the mail so far. So wonder if a fix is soon coming for the CMax as well?

Just wanted to share a short video I shot with my iPhone while driving during a short drive but it is too big to load here. So I will describe what it was about. I was unhappy with my average mpg readings being in the low 40 range so I got the idea to go into settings and fuel history. I reset the fuel history and immediately the readings were changing constantly very quickly ranging as much as 10mpg +/- as the computer settled into the current mpg levels. Suddenly I was getting readings as high as 50+ range and falling back into the low 40's range and then back to the 50's again. Currently after things settled down I now maintaining a 45 or better score. My question is why was I consistently seeing low scores and once I reset the history I started getting much higher scores? I burned my previous tank with very poor mpg mileage range, barely getting 500 miles to the tank. Still trying to reach that elusive 600mile mark.

good thought, hadn't thought of that aspect of my business. Are those things quiet? Can't be like my nitro gas R/C F-150. Can't have a bunch of noise or smelly exhaust at events like an outdoor wedding or any outdoor event I'm filming.

I have 5 tanks with over 500 miles, my last tank was 518 but I didn't take a picture.

Sorry about your other issues but my iPhone 5 works great with my sync system, I love streaming my iTunes music through the bluetooth function. There does seem to be some intermittent problems from time to time with my power button, but other than that I can live with it until the patch is available.

Too bad I was unemployed when I bought mine no one to ask for X-Plan which I've never heard of. I'm a Costco & AAA member, never thought to go through them. oh well

Haggling on the price was unheard of when I bought my Max in September. It was the first one they sold and when I said I'd give them $200 over invoice and ask to see the invoice, I was told the price is as low as it will get at $29k for a fully loaded dealer ordered Platinum White SEL. After all said and done out the door at just over $30k. I thought that was pretty good considering I was buying a hybrid.

sorry my budget will not permit that wonderful toy and a ladder will have to do for me. Beside I put my spare coins into to my wannabuy fund for my new video toys :)

It was just a thought...no biggie

Wait until the big event and hopefully we will have a parking lot full of them all at once? It is an awesome sight. Somebody local needs to bring a ladder so we can get a high up view of them all together for a group photo with a wide angle lens or fish eye. if I'm there with my HD Video camera I can shoot it.

like looking in a mirror how cool, Ive been hoping to get this opportunity here in my area.

Jus I think we need a section in the forum called CMaxspotting as a variation from that movie trainspotting but all the posts for CMaxes seen in there.

I have found that if my CMax has been sitting for any length of time it falls asleep (sort of) and I have to do the foot thing under the bumper twice. The first one is just to get my Max awake. Always opens on the second attempt.

Hey Salsguy my dealer here in San Jose has almost a dozen SEL's in stock, both hybrid and energi models sitting in this hot summer-like weather we are having. Get your dealer in SoCal to work a trade with my dealer Frontier Ford in Santa Clara. These are fully loaded in all colors and they are working deals to try and meet quota's since sales have slowed, probably due to all the hype and lawsuits being filed over false advertising expectations for 47mpg.

Hope to be able to welcome you as an owner soon cepwin...You have chosen wisely.

Or leave the wipers pointing up in the air over night like Jus-A-CMax does on is ski trips to Mammoth Mountain. Then I assume is it much easier to scoop out the snow before using the wipers. Can't say for sure since we have no chance of snow here in the bay area of northern California.

My current tank is not going to be anything to brag about. I have not been able to get past 42mpg with the first 1/4 tank. Have seen as low as 41.0 I think it is because my braking has been very poor lately, too many panic stops due to morons behind the wheel. Plus I haven't been working at it very hard. To many other things going on in my world this week. My hat is off to those of you bringing in these incredible numbers, I only wish I could say the same.

I HAVE FOUND THE ILLUSIVE MPG SWEET SPOT!

Sorry to rub it in but the nice weather is why we pay so much for everything to live here :) -
Sorry no info on your question. I think you will find that most owners do not have a need for a radar detector since few exceed the posted speed limit. Going too fast has negative effects on gas mileage.

I have noticed a pattern which has developed in my last many tanks of gas and I was wondering if others have seen this? The first half of the tank seems to be much more predictable than the second half of the tank. My last two tanks have really been my best as mileage goes with the first half staying right around 41 to 44average mpg. With periods of jumping all the way up to the 47 range and then falling back into the 45's before slipping down into the 40 and 41 range with the second half of the tank. I don't understand way the second half constantly seems to be less mpg?

Sadly I can testify great front and rear crumple zones

Ouch! makes me sick to look at these. This is my biggest fear when I leave my Max out of my sight. I think it is safe to say that your insurance will total it. Damage is pretty extensive both front and rear. So very sorry this happened. But good no one was hurt. Keep us posted on how things develop.
