  1. IMO, fuelly will always show the lower side because you're still paying for the lower MPGs during the break-in period and also the cold weather runs...ala my 2 x 33MPG runs on the 280mile hike to Mammoth. I agree the fuelly numbers will trend upward come this summer. Mind you, there are some incredible numbers on fuelly as well which leaves me scratching my head if these cars ran down a huge hill and got towed back, those are seriously, incredible good numbers out there. On the flip side, imo, all those fuelly numbers from the cold north really kills thing. I wonder if Ford made a strategic mistake to release the CMax during the winter.
  2. Thanks for the link. I too considered this, #2 actually but it was blah bland. Lets see what CR will say when they test it.
  3. Fish, frog what does it matter...theres only so many CMax badges, Idaho Potatoes or Franken-Moogoose on bicycles out there already. More diversity the better....now where is my other cutey avatar that I use to have.....hmmmmh.
  4. ...bringing back memories, as tragic as they were those days :hysterical: Can't come soon enough, lets hope they keep their schedule.
  5. Nice! SEL... Being a Texam, I'll forgive u...j/k...welcome :)
  6. :redcard: You tanked up at 8.99 gallons, you've barely over half tank there Adair, you still have a minimum 140 miles before you fume out ;) Yeah, I noticed it a long time ago, I'm no engineer so it is what it is...which is why fuelly says one thing and my screen shots says another. Both accurate from their own perspective and I don't have money or time to stick gauges into my car that I know nothing about...jus' sayin.
  7. What? Wheres mine...ha...go for it :) Speaking of RDA - I got another survey letter from the RDA Group today, same survey as last time so I refilled it in again. This time, its the same prizes as Adair mentioned (sssssshhhhhh....lets keep this quiet ;) ) . I don't mind filling in the survey. Anyway, I added in my complaints about the MFT but everything else was hunky-dory and it really is ... :wub2: the car
  8. Probably not, they're all driving Teslas or Prii. Not b*tching but Its as if they dumped the Millenium/Vista team into the Sync software. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh x 1,000,000,000,000 :rant2: This is going to be a BIG discussion point with the Ford Engineers when I meet them in 2 weeks time. I'm off to do a master reset now, hopefully, that may stabilize my MFT.
  9. I'm coming around your way. I can accept some crashes but 2 days in a row and as I am on long drives, it would drive me nutz not to have any music. One tell tale sign is that part of the display appears to be "missing" - its as if the software does not know how to draw the navigation or the entertainment graphics/lines/boxes - just a blank wall paper background. *sigh*
  10. Woah....another "Scheduled Maintenance" this afternoon after a short trip and I had to go out again. What is going on.... :nonono:
  11. CNC....dude - your car and my Max probably shared the same assembly line, October baby - so far, aside from MFT, no major issue at all :) Cassidy - thanks for the update. Wow, this sounds like a major concern so thanks for posting it here and letting us all know.
  12. Keep the battery high (around 80% or more), it enhances your mileage eventhough you are travelling above the EV threshold of 63mph.
  13. Yeah, well, one of us will find out. Hey, what happened with the white smoke? What was your odo when it happened? PS you have PM
  14. Updated on Post#1, major congratz. Yeah, go get one backup tank...I got mine and we WILL use it. Man, this is fun...sweat and all, or we're just plain nutz ;)
  15. Slightly ot - Powerbilt had a nitrogen filled driver advertised with Fuzzy, lets just say it went as far as the Powwww...Powwww...Pow....Hammer... :runaway: ...those who hang around the golf forums knows exactly what I mean. Back to the topic. I'd say go for it, it's only $40 but do some screen shots of a daily commute as a baseline and then do the same run with the nitrogen filled tires. :)
  16. Well...another crash this afternoon as I headed to the gym. Pulled Max out and it was 55, which is chilly here. As soon as I put it into drive the whole LCD froze, the mp3 was playing though. No response whatsoever. Kept driving and in a few more minutes, the song started sounding cutting in and out and then a black screen on the LCD. Next thing I get the schedule maintenance screen...ala BSOD (Black Screen of Death). Kept driving and booted up fine. It was weird. No ryhme or reason and I didn not even touch the voice activated paddle either. Next.... :waiting:
  17. Good news indeed, thanks for the update. Now enjoy your CMax. PS You know you've goofed up when you're getting 41 mph over 100 total miles... ;) Thats ok, 3rd posting, you're forgiven...lol
  18. Sweating...dude...if the Max had a camera in your interior, you would be snorkelling in your car... :hysterical: I'll give it to you, that was ballsy to take it to zero :worship: I have to try it sometime as I got my lil 1 gallon in reserve just in case. I think we need to play with this battery high more. The more I am driving with this battery high mode, imo, the better the mileage and I am becoming a proponent of keeping it as high as possible, no more complete battery drains on the P&G. The benefits to ICE with a high battery is just there and there is no doubt we have to use the ICE as part of our driving. One thing I noted is that when you are 90% battery, just the pedal with steady acceleration or fast acceleration won't charge the battery anymore. The only way to push more batts is to P&G and let the coast charge the battery higher. I've also seen this "no charge" but thought it was curious. We will figure out what the Ford programmers have done with the mapping to see what our best techniques are to MAX our CMax mileage  PS my last fill up was around 560+ miles with 29 to go according to the gauge. Close but the next day I need 90 miles so I have to fill.
  19. Welcome to the forum. I see an SE based on your profile that you entered here for this site. However, what upgrades did you have on it? Base price of an SE is $25,200 and just me playing with the ford.com "build your car" and throwing in all the niceties, it came to $30,209. So this is what I would do to check, go to Ford.com and build your own SE, add in all the package and niceties - and they should be stated in the contract, and then see if you got ripped off or not, and then let us know. :)
  20. Have not gone thru the whole thread and not sure if this was brought up already - but it might be worth while tracking the build date of the effected vehicles, might be a pattern there with bad parts. Fingers crossed mine is fine, mine was built Oct 2012.
  21. Another one.... http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/10/automobiles/stalled-on-the-ev-highway.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 Ho hum...
