Post Your Life Time MPG's, Total Mi., EV mi., Regen mi. and Brake Score
Jus-A-CMax replied to ptjones's topic in Fuel Mileage
...I should add, watching your Lifetime MPG is like watching grass grown in ultra slow motion. Nothing moves it and next thing, -wallah- you're up 0.1 MPG. Brake scores - I think 94-96 is average and anything above the 96 is exceptional - kudos to the driver with that patience and can read the traffic to avoid those 30-40% brake scores. I think the higher your odo, the more persistent the brake scores stay around the mid 90s. I cannot fathom or envisage someone rocking up here with 30,000 miles and having 99%... :drop: ...if they do, they must live in a town, population 1 ;) -
Who has a Hybrid and an Energi to give me a MPG comparison?

Of those miles I know about 14,000 were freeway miles for Mammoth & Camping, Appraisal and Vegas. So City 62% and Freeway 38%, over the 36,000 mile tank. -
This morning to work, again - a slight tweak to my usual route...not a Personal Best but darn close...one less squirt and I would have NAILED it...but alas.... Run from work to the golf course (didn't take a picture)........and pulled into the garage with this: What a car!!!!

Not too many CMax commercials here in the hybrid capital of the country. However, I am seeing WAY more CMaxs in our LA traffic now...good thing... :) Plus I sent my salesguy @ Galpin Ford, the screenshot of the 901 mile tank...he was blown away, he thought the 800 was exceptional but this is jaw dropping. Hopefully that may taper off some of the poor MPG PR that was passing around, utter BS. And I did tell him that was all City, to be straight.

$4500 annual "social cost" per solo hybrid driver in Cali HOV lanes
Jus-A-CMax replied to kostby's topic in Lounge: Off-Topic
What scares me is the unintended consequences of greening. Let me put it this succinctly - do you want to give the government all data on where you have been in your? That may come into play as everyone switching from gas to electric, the revenues from the gas would drop and the government has no choice but to mandate a GPS tracker to calculate the miles in your EV car and tax its use. Some states may be considering this already... Jus Gloomy. -

Nick is right, mid 600s is there is 50% freeway but -it is- possible to break the 700 to low 700s even with some freeway, jus have to be judicious with the city portion. 800s are tough with any freeway involved - especially with a wifey who insist on the freeway and AC on...
-
Ssshh...don't tell anyone else Kellytoons but most hypermilers (moi included) run the tires at the max psi. yes, we are sacrificing some road comfort for the MPG as we screech around the corners... ;) Add a center grill cover and the gas pods and we'll see you in the 700 Bar club

....oooffh, I get a headache reading that one kostby

Breaking news...the glass ceiling has been broken, 901 miles tank.
Jus-A-CMax replied to Jus-A-CMax's topic in Fuel Mileage
..but in CA we have ..but in CA we have(had) the "summer" blend which allegedly costs more. I dunno, at the end I think its all manipulated, theres a freaking war in the mid East, China and India is consuming like its dying of thirst and the price of a barrel continues to drop while the Saudis are reducing production. We're the suckers who pay at the pump and the way I look at this - the bigger the tank, the more miles I rack up on EV, the further my gas dollar goes...I benefit my family's bottom dollar. ..till the wifey turns on the Jaguar :drop: ;) -

Sounds like the cash for clunkers program, dismal failure...but I digress, I completely missed these ugly stickers on the car but when I think about it, I get zero gains from this masterful, well planned Govt scheme. I am actually better off driving surface streets where there are less cars & more MPGs to be had. Jus my 2c EVing... :) -

Thanks and get her to keep at it. She would make the 3rd female driver to break the bars in the club  Now, if you look at the 600+ Mile thread, all she needs is 45.9 MPG to break the 600 miles. It tougher with freeway (more challenging imho) to break the barriers. Whilst the CMax is ultra strong in the city, its achilles heel will always be the freeways - there is nothing that us drivers can do to fight the physics, aero and gravity of the car. So walk away with a huge smile if you break the 47 MPGs (which is more than possible as I have proven with my fully loaded trips to Mammoth and back). Thanks Kelleytoons, if you think these gas prices are HIGH, you should have seen it 3 months ago, it was peaking at $4.25. This is SoCal, or should I just say CA where the state and the pleb mentality is higher taxes and more taxes...*sigh* For a long time, both fotomoto and ptjones held numbers in the 890s. Jus short of the 900 so this was a true :airquote: Glass Ceiling to break, so close and yet so far... What surprised me was that there was no intention at the time for anything other than a mid 800 tank - but at 700 mark, my Estimated Miles to Empty showed 220...I thought..hang on, whats happening here?!? Now...I did tweaked my drive hom from work to take a different route this tank, that was the difference... I think that to break this Glass Ceiling with STILL HAVING gas in the tank meant more to me than anything else - it proved my calculations were right on and there is no desperate drive to max out the gas to break the glass at the end of the day. Finish the MPG :shift: marathon with a cruise & :) to the finish line. My thought is that either great drivers will break the 900 sometime soon but, imo, this is like Everest, its always good to be the 1st one to summit it and lead others to more summits - it's what possible...think that and Jus Do It :victory: The next :airquote: K2 peak is the 1,000 which I think is doable in a stock car, with just the grill cover/gas pod mods but nothing hardcore. I think I can get 70 to 75 MPGs for a sustained period but right now, I lack the time, drive & social life commitments to do this. My Maxine is an amazing car, she's DA BOMB  -
I agree but we tend to be on the lazy side here and after a while, everyone gets the same buzz. However, I do carry the thread of the acronym as part of my sig...so you'll be EVing today, in your PZEV Focus platform, or ICing it? ;)
-
nope, its your car now, you make of it as you will :) reset would have been something I would have been done too.

Check out the Hybridbear thread that I pinned in one of the Hybrid Tips section - its a great read. As long as you learn & adapt - you'll be up there, sooner than later :) -
Imho, that was dumb of Ford to remove this stat...
-
You have PM. Reason there are 2 columns: TotalMiles vs Total Miles with EV is that some drivers did not provide the full info.
-
I'll be interested to see how this does. I am already maxing my MPGs so not sure how this is going to improve on what I know...but..what would be scary good - if it can :)

Thanks, scottwood. You'll get here and I am sure there will be others too...thats jus the way of the game. I thought breaking 750 bar was hard, then breaking 800 bar and this one is Jus-Another-Feather in the cap that Maxine wears, shes looking pretty :) Now, 800 is norm for me, 900 is stretching it. I'll do some stats of my 800 runs one day. Now, imho - the 1000 is doable, based on analyzing my route, traffic conditions but that would be a special trip/loop route and I don't play that game, gotta work and enjoy life :) ps for those who think they can't - jus think of history & the 4 minute mile. Once that was broken everything was possible then. For us Maxers - in 2012, we thought the 600 miles was barely possible. Then that fell - as of today, we have 55 Maxers who broke this bar. Then the 700 was :airquote: impossible, we now have 8 drivers. Then we thought the 800 miles was up in the stratosphere...we now have 4 drivers. Pretty soon...we'll do the same with the 900 bar - mark my words. Jus give it time. This CMax get better & better as the odo clocks up and you become a better & better driver :) -
You can, as long as you do not start the CMax with the brake pedal down. For example, you pull into garage and you forgot to review your trip summary and your car is off. No problem. Just press the Start button but without the pressing the brake pedal. This kicks the car into accessories mode. Now jus turn off the car and your last Trip Summary is shown. Hoewever, once you really start the car with Start + brake pedal, your last Trip Summary is reset. Its gone...POOF!
