  1. Nothing for me...I just did my rear gate but no 13A01. Weird. Anyway, I emailed my service advisor to chase this one up. Great info. Erh..I just pinned it by the way.
  2. I reported to Galpin and they ordered a new panel. Its been fine since then :) So not only do we have a bad bunch of GPS modules but for the LUCKY few, we get the bonus misfitting panel as well. Yah, should go and buy the lotter! 9.5. U were expecting me to say 13, weren't you ;)
  3. Congratulations Jaz, added your name to the 600 Mile CMax Club Honor Roll. Excellent, 1st Female member of our 600 Mile Cmax Club Honor Roll. For that she gets her own pink line on the Honor Roll
  4. Hatchman - please confirm to this forum that it was your wife who got the 600 miles a tank and not you? If she did it, she would be our 1st female driver to do this...thanks
  5. So today I was at Victory and Coldwater Canyon and as I was making a left to Coldwater Canyon - low and behold, there was a twin sitting there at the front of the traffic light - an SEL White Platinum with the sunroof. I had to wait at the intersections for a bit while I waited for the local morons to either speed by or putt-putt by (you'll understand when you live in this crazy city)....so both CMax drivers had plenty of time to gawk at one another. She had dealer plates on so its relatively new. When I finally got to make my turn, I waved at her as I passed her CMax and she definitely kept gawking at me....ah...she I could have passed her a card to this forum. Sorry no pics as my camera was in my work bag and I forgot to whip it out...would have been a doozie of a picture with her face.
  6. No connect to Ford for me either, jus an ordinary poster like everyone else here. GPS - I posted this somewhere before but this is what I did exactly. Take pictures of the GPS going berzerk. Take them to your service advisor and show them the picture and have them test the part # CJ5Z10E893C. Don't accept any BS that its suppose to be like that, may be a few yards off. They should call the Ford hotline directly (which is what Galpin did). It took them 3 days to replace and test the unit. Once they replaced my GPS its really singing now, not once has it gone berzerk like it use to. I made a similar comment in my CMax review with the part # if anyone needs it again (or stumble across it). As I said, I don't believe 3.5.1 will resolve the Nav issues imo but I don't have it at the moment and it making me like 3.1.3 as it is (shocked huh?).
  7. fixored :hysterical: On tha noe, tim ta laeve da buldung.
  8. Mine is an October build and I know Galpin checked my VIN at 9:45AM yesterday and there was NO 3.5.1 update for it. May be whats missing here is that Ford is possibly staging out the releases by month - since we have 1 may be 2 Nov 3.5.1 updates. Hmmmmmh..
  9. klunk..klunk...klunk...<cricket>...<cricket>...<cricket>...klunk..klunk...klunk...<cricket>...<cricket>...<cricket> Sorry but I can't get over the diesel klunk noise that it makes. One of my appraiser drives a diesel tdi - I can hear her before I see her. What a combo with an EV that will make... :runaway:
  10. No "L" as it was a feature I did not use, even in all the grades I travelled on the freeway/surface streets. Updated Post #1 with some information regarding the MFT Navigation and the TSB 13-5-6 for the liftgate. Finally, the 2 key issues that bugged me are resolved. YAH - FORD AND YAH Galpin!!!!!!
  11. I just had the TSB 13-5-6 done this morning. Here's the deal with this TSB that I found out while working with Bill Parks@Galpin Ford. If they just search by the VIN, its not there as its not a mandatory TSB. Instead, have your Service Advisor search by component - in this case the "Liftgate" and the TSB will appear under there. It was a quick turn around and best of all, its plain works now...one kick! Yaaah! Thats it for me - my Nav is working superbly now and my liftgate is all done. I'll update my review to reflect these new changes. 3.5.1 will be nice but not mandatory as my MFT is pretty stable for now (touch wood). Hope this helps... :)
  12. Hey thanks 11STiLimited, looks really nice. You had me thinking as I sat there having a Smashburger with my buddy and stared at Maxine parked outside...I doubt it as I enjoyed the bling of the chrome. Keep it up, this is good stuff for others and I always enjoy your adventures and photos - many thanks
  13. Thank you for being so POSITIVE, it really changes the tone of the whole board. Yes, we all have our issues and part of the reason we're here is because of issues but there is alwaysa Ying and Yang, flipside of a coin whatever you want to label it --- that we learn and see positive achievements with the CMax. It is a very unique car I have to say, bends a ton of rules and exceeds barriers no one tought possible and we're still breaking them as we roll along...or should I say :shift: along. :) ps is an alien in a Prii in a snow storm going to show up in this thread... :runaway:
  14. Hey, don't sweat it. I had to give my DroidX to Galpin Jaguar when I had issues with the Bluetooth and in the end they replaced the Bluetooth (allegedly super expensive in a Jaguar) and that fixed it. So it's not uncommon to pass your phone to the dealer afaik, but I trust Carlos (Galpin Jaguar) with my life. Hope something works out soon Adair, this is a pain in the butt I know..hopefully they can do something. Did they pull out the GPS and test the component or they just checked the version only? I think you have a bad GPS imo as its the same issue as mine.
  15. You know, after a few days use I am thinking a folding sunshade is the way to go. Right now, this thing has to be rolled and the only place for it is in the back seat and I have to reach for it in the back. I might toy with folding it to see if it makes a diff. However, this is a GREAT heatshield, it really kept my Maxine cool on the inside. Very noticeable, especially after I got back from golf this afternoon.
  16. Good stuff Matt, seriously long range  &
  17. Wing, I feel for you and imo, you have a lemon there but thats not to say that I or Laurel or others have lemons. Lemons exist in every car manufacturer. Even my 2004 Jaguar XJ8 was a lemon and that car cost us more than your and my CMax but we bought the additional coverage which saved our butt (Jaguar ate it big time) in the end but still in the end, we moved it on. Now, as for redaction, I will redact personal attacks of one poster to another. However, say what you want about your car, call Ford names, call the CMax a POS if it makes you feel better. If you are daring me, go ahead - but don't attack any poster for their view points just as much as I don't expect them to attack you on your view point. My Cmax could have been a lemon when we bought it, and if that happened, my wife and I agreed to move it on but luckily, its lived up to its reputation here.
  18. At 35mph surface streets that Matt roams, that has to be expected.
  19. Woah....thats ONE way to see Stars and Aliens.... ;)
  20. In regards to the off-shore Indians, you get what you pay for, cheap rates, cheap quality of work and this applies to general contracting services as well. I've been in IT for decades and communication with offshore is one of the biggest hurdles. Right now, with my GPS functioning, I am less worried about the 3.5.1 update, Galpin got to the core of my issue and took care of it. Having said that, those with Nav issues, any upgrade to 3.5.1 is not a guarantee it will fix it for them either as I have seen others with 3.5.1 with Nav issues. Thanks to ArizonEnergi and others who had their GPS replaced, thats the best course of action for those with Nav issues...take pictures of the issue, see the Ford SA and have them replace the GPS unit. Wallah.
  21. May be old, but dang, its a great lil platform. Personally, I have no regrets, one can wait till the next best thing forever and ever. Reminds me of the CPUs, oh...theres a better one with dual core...oh theres a better one with quad core....oh theres a better one with 20,000 cores....lol.
  22. You know if you're not happy with the car, just sell the damn thing, why put up with all the crap? As for redaction, as long as its not a personal attack on another poster, go ahead. Seriously, ever consider moving that CMax on if its causing all these issues...?
  23. Cool, its been such a long time. I use to drive from Burlingame to Kirkwood early on Sat or stay somewhere in a town beforehand and ride the weekend. I really miss Kirkwood, it was such a blast. However, it doesn't hold a candle to Mammoth in terms of area, slope and powder. Now, whats happening here mtb - Mammoth? September? May be plan for a weekend? We can stay in the Mammoth town, Snowcreek, Motel 6 or Mammoth Inn. If you stay at Mammoth Inn, we'll have to drive to town to eat & drink..which is cool to EV down but 18.8MPG to climb up there. Its kinda 1/2 way so that may attract the SoCal CMax owners like me and it may work for NorCal as well. Jus throwin out some ideas...
  24. Ssssh...do we have to do this....? V C Section 22102 U Turn in Business District U-Turn in Business District22102. No person in a business district shall make a U-turn, except at an intersection, or on a divided highway where an opening has been provided in accordance with Section 21651. This turning movement shall be made as close as practicable to the extreme left-hand edge of the lanes moving in the driver's direction of travel immediately prior to the initiation of the turning movement, when more than one lane in the direction of travel is present. Amended Ch. 47, Stats. 1985. Effective January 1, 1986. Willy Nilly means anywhere so in a business district, only at an intersection. Try turning in a middle of a street, cop sees ya....cough up bro...Jus Sayin :hi5: We shall now return you to the normal "CMax Stinking" channel, any aliens, stinking thongs.....Sgt Schultz: "I know nuthin...I see nuthin..." :salute:
