  1. Ok...since we are 10+ now...I would like to get us a little "honor badge" on this forum. May be on the left hand section, typically under the avatar name, we might get a cool badge icon or may be "600+ CMax Club Member" title - now, talk about promotion if ever there was one for all your effort!!! Trying to work with the site owner here (robertlane) and it would always help if you guys could give me a hand to request it. Otherwise, I carry a link in my signature but I think we can do better with an icon link - but again, we need to come up with a cool slim design so if anyone here is good with photochop, lets see it :)
  2. thunderbird97, classic :hysterical: ...careful though, u might become a closet prii owner like moi, or am i ;)
  3. Avoid the green Turtle brand dash brush, its a POS, lint everywhere... ..but I didn't pay anything for it. I also got the large CA dusters, freaking awesome  . Again, it was free :happy feet:
  4. Congratulations on a Canadian achievement and thanks for sharing the YouTube. I totally :wub2: it and the best thing - all the video images are real, none of the fake CGI stuff we see in the movies. Dude sings really well  Now, if we can only get Adam Scott up there, that would make my day even better
  5. Good to hear you have quality Ford dealership at your end of town friend :)
  6. UPDATE: As the OP, I am GLADLY and HAPPILY reporting my replacement GPS module s working 100%. There was initially a couple of rubber banding but in the 2 weeks I had the new GPS, its been rock solid. I seriously believe this GPS Nav issue is from a batch of bad GPS as those of us who had their GPS replaced, its working fine with our 3.1.3 PLUS there are some with 3.5.1 has the same issue Nav issue. As such, my advice: if you got the Nav issue, take pictures of it and take it to your Ford Service Advisor and have them apply the TSB and check the GPS. Good luck :)
  7. Good stuff guys, nice to see these lil mods come for our CMaxs :)
  8. Rachel, I am so used to clobber, theres a permament dent...but us hubby wear it like a badge of honor ;) Just added some more fuelly friends....woo...lets get some more CMax drivers linked up
  9. Also, as a reminder, there is a "Manage Ignore Prefs" under the drop down menu of your username (top right corner) and you can add users to ignore. Peace
  10. Cheer up buddy-o-chum :) Hey mtb, I had 18.8 MPGs!!!! For 4 to 5 miles. You thought u suxed, I got you beat :hi5:
  11. Going up here in SoCal. Tanked at Independence and it was like $4.09...but I sipped about 8 gallons for the 300 odd miles FULLY LOADED and climbing 500ft to 7,800 feet and back. Amazing CMax!!!!! :happy feet:
  12. Nice writeup testdriver. Check out the SEL, I much prefer the finish on that versus the SE but hey, thats jus me. What sort of driving do you intend to do? If its ton of freeways the diesel is hard to pass up (there I said it) but then again, what I am seeing these guys do with the 600 Mile CMax club members is pretty astonishing the MPGs they are getting - with some stating as much as 90% freeway. Welcome to the forum as well :)
  13. kbf1, this is your 1st and only official warning - please refrain from posting multiple, exact same messages on multple threads and stop attacking the posters. This forum is a sounding board for owners helping one another. As another poster said, we are all volunteers and we want to help but right now, your tone and attitude is NOT condusive to anyone helping you. You attack the responders and it appears you are not even reading any posts on the threads - which, puts you into the troll category and theres only 1 place where trolls always end up. Please change your attitude and tone. Like I said, this is your 1st and last warning.
  14. I sense that Ford has improved something internally with the CMaxs, just comparing my MPG experience with that I am seeing now. Right now, we are seeing a slew of high MPGs and more :happy feet: 600 Mile CMax Club Members :happy feet: and looking at their odo, they are just starting to break in their engines. I can't recall getting these great MPGs even with my temps here in SoCal - ALL FOR THE BETTER though  & Whatever Ford has done (if they did it), I wish they would pass it on to the early adopters as well.
  15. ...but we are all anxiously waiting to induct our first LADY 600 Mile Cmax Member
  16. :happy feet: :happy feet: Holy Guacamole Ford Man!!!!!!!! :happy feet: :happy feet: We now OFFICIALLY have broken the 10 drivers barrier, thanks to frbill and thunderbird97 becoming our 10th and 11th member!!!!!!!!! :hi5: This is unbelievable guys! I thought 8 or 10 come end of summer, riddley thought 10 but the end of May but we both are wrong...you guys just turned it up another notch :hi5: I have no doubt, without this Fordcmaxhybridforum.com, the CMax would have been snowed under by the bad press and lawsuits but this just proves what an AWESOME LONG RANGE vehicle the CMax really is. :happy feet: Congratulations to all our members in the 600 Mile CMax Club for your perseverence, BALL TO THE WALL and LET'S GET 'EM attitude :happy feet:
  17. Congratulations to plohnes, another baby 600 Mile CMax member. & :happy feet:
  18. :) Welcome back Snowstorm, trust u had a great vacation
  19. Don't even sweat this one, IMO. The MPG number comprises of 2 components, #miles / fuel used. Even the slightest change in the bottom denominator such as a wee bit top off, I have seen changes from a 51 MPG to a 47 MPG. Same goes for short trips, one squirt of ICE can change a 40+ to a mid/high 30s...its devastating  ;) For me, after 13,500+ miles my fuelly and my lifetime MPG is about 0.3 or thereabout diff. If I have to believe either fuelly or lifetime, I'll pick the car, its the most consistent unit for measurement vs the variations across fuel pumps. My 2c.
  20. PS anyone seen Scully here with the thongs????(since Ron brought up Mulder) :salute:
  21. Mate, don't give up your daytime job and become a driving instructor in your CMax... :redcard: .... u know u can't just simply do a Uey wily-nilly here. The local cops luv the illegal uturn drivers, especially those in a business district in the middle of street...nice money spinner for the city :finger: Jus sayin ;)
  22. This is my modus operandi, the only time to reset the Avg MPG is when u tank up, reset at the next fill up. As I have been stressing, your Avg MPG is the most volatile from full to about 1/3...you'll get the super-great to "u sux" at this range. As such, forget about the Avg MPG but look at your Trip at the engine off, this is truly telling you how you're driving immediately - and u make mental notes and think about how to improve the next time u drive this same route, or select a more MPG friendly terrain such as the lesser slope route. It's never A to B IF u want to drive FE, there is always a compromise for that high mileage that I or Matt or other high MPG drivers get.. which I, for one treat as a game, a challenge and it makes me a far more wary driver because I see terrain, traffic conditions ahead and rear..unlike a drone biplane driver. Also, even I can't fight physics and get my low 38 MPG now and then..... that's just the way the cookie crumbles. Next cookie will be better-that's the attitude
  23. That's what we like to hear catsailor  no hurry. Cmaxgo, keep going girl, doing GREAT , one step at a time, it will come soon enuf especially with those MPGs
  24. salsaguy, thanks for the info, very helpful  . However, may I suggest you update your post to let the readers know your model & year of the car since I believe its not a CMax. Otherwise someone else will come and say "he's part of the statistics". :)
  25. I luv this idea! That's why this forum RAWKS!
