1. I was not getting the download from Ford, so I went on the Chat window, and they gave me the phone number to contact Techs, and they are sending me the USB 3.6 with the update on it. The Tech number is 800.392.4040.
2. My automatic lights with wipers work fine, they need to be set at slow or fast and wait about 15 sec to light, they are not automatic with intermittent setting, but you can set them to slow and after the lights come on set them back to intermittent and they stay on. The computers light setting needs to be 'on'.
3. What ever you use, make sure it's the best, oil and filter, don't skimp.
4. If and when you buy Sirius you have to ask them to include weather to get the weather map after your 6 month trial has run out. Weather is about $12.00 for year.
5. Remember, miles for changing oil, at 5000 miles most likely 1/3 is EV miles, thus you would be changing oil with only 3300 miles engine use. the same scenario with 10K, 6600 miles. At the first oil change, I switched to full synthetic oil, and plan to change at longer miles. 15K, that is 10K of engine use. I now have 11K on the C-max, all has gone well. My average of EV use, has been 1/3 at this point of time.
6. With the new update 3.5.1 comes a screen with the Electronic drive system, shows the car with paths of the charge and use etc. I also like the 12 volt charge outlets, so phone and other electronics can be charged with out the ignition on, the outlet in the center console has to have the ignition on. An Item I purchased extra, the WeatherTech floor mats, work great to keep the car clean.
7. My last trip of 800 miles, I didn't figure adding in the mileage from the electric motor, so when I was not yet to the station, the computer said I had 44 miles left, by the time I got to the gas station, 50 miles down the road, I still had 40 miles left in the tank. I had to go through a town to get there and was in electric most of the time.
8. Hearsay?: Ford set to improve 2013 hybrids software starting in August 2013 C-Max, Fusion, Mkz. Calibration updates , Max pure electric from 62 to 85, Grille Shutters, Temperature conditions, reduce the electric fan speed, shortening engine warm up time, optimizing the climate control system. Lets hope so!
9. My C-Max (Nov 2012) came with 24 month free maintenance. I do buy my full synthetic oil.
10. I have the 3.1.3 Nav, I updated it from the one that was installed when I purchased the C-Max on Nov 12, 2012, the Nav and Sync has worked very good, I just bought the Sirius for the next year as it ran out on the 10th of May, I had to add the Travel Link to it, to get the Weather, Travel link was only 21.00 per year. I did need to "ReStart" the Sirius via the web site to get it to work, I checked with Ford and they said there is not an update for the C-Max at this time, but one will be forth coming, (no date).

47 MPG

Finally got there! 46 to 53 on most every trip, it's warm, and 6600 miles, were I live in the hills, just local, the mileage is AVG 36+ but on all my longer trips I'm over 46, use 'about' 10 gal gas every 15 days.
12. 1. The tail gate not opening, try unlocking the doors first, than the gate will go up, I find with my doors locked I have the same problem, the gate unlocks and stops 2. Try resetting your MyFordTouch, you will loose your preset radio stations, but it may fix your screen problem. I can't remember how from where I'm at, but the book will tell you how.
13. I did, held the button in, NOT thinking!
14. I almost did it, I was going down a steep hill, and used the "L" low transmission position, at about 20 mph, at the bottom I pushed the shifter back in to D, I thought, and it went all the way to "P" park position, nothing happened until I slowed down, and the parking gear started to grind... ouch... I still had my hand on the shift and imediately pulled it back in to drive... NO problems, yet, sure learned a lesson. I went through reverse, and to park with out any sound or feel on the shifter.
15. FYI, My last new Ford PU, I kept track of the TSBs and went to the dealer when ever I found one, because they never did call me and tell me there was one to be done it is free while your vehicle is still in the new warrenty period, and suppose to bring it up to date with the latter autos sold after you got yours. I had 5 TSB done on my 2000 SD250. It's one of the things you need to keep up with, if your in for service, you would be lucky if they bring it up.
16. After a wet Ride day after a snow storm, the next day it was 5 deg, when I started the C-Max it was running on less then 4 cylinders for 6 or 7 min then cleared up, didn't go to the dealer as the thing is running good now, I did discover, you can't get more than 2K rpm while in park or neutral
17. May be that your AM ~ PM setting was wrong, I set mine and that corrected it.
18. Mine makes the noise with the A/C OFF, it may be a fuel pump building pressure. I have two other engines that do that.
19. It cost $26.++ at Walmart for Mobil One 5/20 15K 5 Qt (extended use) Synthetic oil,I take mine with me to the Ford Dealer..... $24.++ for 5 Qt 5K oil,
20. Hey thanks guys, wife and I are always wanting the radio as we wait for each other, never did think of just pushing the ON/OFF button!
21. I had the clock problem 3 times, I ?corrected? the error by setting the AM or PM correctly, I found when the time was off, it was set to the AM instead of PM which it should have been, so I am thinking the GPS or other time provider, Sirius or Sync or GPS, I don't know which, was confused by the incorrect AM/PM setting, because after I changed it, I have not had a further problem.
22. I installed both front and rear, they do a good job, Ford product, but bought off a cut rate Ford dealer for 82.00 And I bought an after market rear bumper stainless steel plate for 45.00 found both on a search on net.
23. That is correct just push the start with your foot off the brake, but the radio will go off after awhile, you MAY see the battery saver screen if the battery is to low, then you will have to start the engine to charge it up,.. the radio will stay on for 20 min or so, than you just push the start button again, I know, I fell asleep while waiting for the wife, (shopping takes for ever), had to turn it back on so I could sleep better! :)
24. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="Tdefny" data-cid="4630" data-time="1356487334">
Just nervous about putting metal in there with the power port uncovered. Otherwise, the car really needs a place for loose change.

Find or purchase a 5 volt charging plugin (cigarette lighter type) that goes in the hole, USB plug connection, I saw some at Lowes at the cash register, it can be used to charge many items, I pull mine out halfway to turn off the power when not using to charge an item.
