The 2013 gas only Fusion (SE) had the auto stop start option but the 2014s (any trim) don't, what happened (am I losing it) ?

Did this 'feature' get added to the 2013 Fusion hybrids (my 2010 fires up its pump when I turn the key to run (just opening the door(s) won't do it ((not doubting you, just curious))

Could it just be your (everybody) is in EV mode more these days (cause it's warm/hot) and you can here the radiator fan when its running full tilt boogie (like when the A/C is on) plus the compressor makes a clicking noise when the (compressor) clutch does its thing ((stick your head under a friends gas only car & have them cycle the A/C on & off, your gonna hear lots of strange noises)) this is not to say there isn't a problem but you may be hearing noises you've not heard before that are normal.

I've driven my 2010 Fusion hybrid till DTE was zero several times (never have run it dry) - would guess there is 50 miles or so still left to go after DTE = 0 (built in safety factor ?)

How much hypermiling did you do to get 45 MPG Jus (nice job !) ?

Easy way to mechanically disconnect whatever is plugged in ? (just a guess)

One of the risks is the big rigs can clear stuff on the roadway 4 wheelers may not be able to (tire caucuses etc.) - if you want to draft see if its okay with the trucker first (at a rest stop or use a CB radio) some don't want someone on their tail, if okay see if the'll change lanes or flash their lights to alert you of something unusual is about to happen.

I went to my local Ford dealer last week & asked about the C-Max, the sales critter asked if that was a Ford - they had 1 SE on the lot, he had never seen one before - granted that was one guy at one dealership but I sure didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling :(
