The 2012 Prius V is a little over 36, C-Max little over 38 inch, pretty close IMO (not driven either so as they say your mileage may vary) :) http://www.ford.com/cars/cmax/compare/

From a convertible 3 series to a C-Max (or Fusion) wow, the C-Max is more practical (no LED but push button start) also lighter than the Fusion (getting 47 MPG from a Fusion with 18 inch wheels may take some doing) so my vote is C-Max (fold the rear seats down and put the dog in thru the back door, lots of room that way ((but I have no dog so might be missing something obvious)))

If possible indicate if your using EV+ mode, tire PSI, outside temperature and anything else that might make a difference.

Wonder if pano roof has a vent mode (the back edge of the sunroof goes *up* a few inches, great for letting the hot air escape if car has been sitting in the sun) my Fusion does this and its great
