  1. UPDATE: Started the car for the drive home tonite. I still had it on the INFORMATION screen, and for the briefest second, it flashed orange 1 WARNING, then immediately went back to green, 0 WARNINGS. The consensus so far is that because it hasn't happened again, that it was a fluke and it cleared itself. They could have a loaner for me on Wednesday if I want to bring it in. Or I'm to call them immediately if anything else weird happens.
  2. LOL!! Well, it was clearly created by the same person/people! At first I thought, " What's Riddley talking about, this is our site?" But it's not! And I see some familiar names besides the illusive Robert Lane! Thanks for finding this!
  3. YAY!! Welcome to the Shameless Braggers Club! We are glad to have you on the forum. You're in good company, out there in SoCal! A number of other forum members in your area. I'm sure some will chime in. So happy that you are seeing the improved mileage too! I'm with you.....I don't understand the lack of promotion. At the Detroit Auto Show in January there were only C-MAX Energis, no hybrids! What's up with that? And there was no advertisement. Now, my husband told me he saw a new C-MAX ad on TV the other night, but I haven't seen it yet. Since you are not new to C-MAX, but new to the forum, please enjoy reading the posts. There is a ton of info here, and very knowledgable folks to bounce ideas/questions off of. Have a great day!
  4. Well, that can't be good! But wouldn't something like that show as a warning on the screen on the left? Also, wouldn't it come back? When others have reported this, their car wouldn't start until after 6-7 tries. Mine started right away, next time, and every time since. Still haven't heard from the dealership.........sigh.....
  5. Ok, so I did this at lunch. Nothing jumped out at me as a code or error message. The one thing I saw was *Battery 14.3V, Last Chime 1* and I did hear a chime with the warning triangle yesterday. Also, *Inst Fuel = 626*
  6. Wow, cool!! Now that you mention it, I remember seeing that thread but didn't do anything with it. I'll go check it out at lunch! Hopefully I'll know what I'm looking at ....... maybe something bold in red with XXX to get my attention. Thanks C-MAXER!!!
  7. Well, no alert, and still no warnings on the Info screen. Car started fine and drove fine. Even got a record high MPG for a drive TO work today 44.2.......Temp was 36*. When temps have been in the teens and 20s I haven't gotten much higher than 37mpg. I have emailed my salesman and will wait to see what he says. I'd like to put it on their computer and see if anything shows up...........
  8. How cool is that StoBro2!!!! Do you know what kind of owl it is?
  9. What do you grow in your garden? You already know I'm jealous. Jerry got the tomato cages and ground cloth pulled up. And I've order new rabbit fencing. But that's about all we can do now.
  10. I just ran the vehicle health report last night and there were no warnings or alerts. Funny, it asked me yesterday if I wanted to run a health report, and I did........now this? My salesman told me he would check with the service dept as soon as he gets in tomorrow morning and call me.
  11. I got the red triangle, Stop Safely Now warning, complete with chimes when I started the car at the grocery store today. I turned it off and back on and it went away. I checked the info screen and there were 0 warnings. Skipped other errands and drove straight home. I've gone out and started it twice and no problem. I have emailed my salesman about it and will call the dealership tomorrow morning. Assuming it starts in the morning, do you think it will be safe to drive to work?
  12. Yeah Rachel, that was my jeep too......21 highway, tops. I love my C-MAX!
  13. My salesman suggested MPG OCD for me :yahoo:

    What's a C-Max

PrintGuy!! Hi, and welcome to the forum! I was a Jeep Liberty owner and was filling up every 5 days or so at $45-$60 a fill up, depending on the price of gasoline. I got 17-21 MPG. Now I fill up once a week (not because I have too, it's just a thing with me not to go much below 1/2 tank.) It costs me around $25-$32 a fill up, and I'm getting 42 mpg (current and previous tank). The Fuelly numbers below will be lower because I live in the north and cold weather impacts mpg's. Again, Welcome!!
  15. A member of Asia's running team came screamin' up to the water stop today and said, "I get mine in August!" We talked later and she's ordering in June, having been told there is a 2 month wait. I told her about the forum, so she'll be stopping by to read up.
  16. Go, CatSailor, GO!!! Cheering you on from Michigan!!!
  17. Ryan, my husband is the same way. He recently got a *new to him* used mini van to drive to/from work. It was slightly newer than his previous one and has a trip computer that shows current mpgs. Because of what I'm reporting with the C-Max, he's started watching the mpgs on the van, slightly reducing his speed, and proudly reporting his MPGs each day. This is a guy who drove 5 above the speed limit and passed everyone he could. Now he leaves a few minutes earlier for work, is a little more leisurely about the drive, and getting better mileage because of it. I don't think any of this would have happened had it not been for me getting the C-Max and him seeing what could be saved with more sensible driving.
  18. I LIKE that!!! Perfect balance and harmony works for me!
  19. The times when it was neither charging nor discharging......no up or down arrows on the battery symbol......I'd never seen that before.
  20. Ok, so I was driving home from Asia's b'day dinner in A2 last night. New tank of gas with only a few dozen miles on it. Decided to take the highway, 'cuz I was tired and wanted to get home. When I got on the highway the battery was full and the average MPGs at that point was 38. I set the eco-cruise to 65 and relaxed into the ride home. A few minutes/miles later I look down and the battery was still over 3/4 full and was neither charging nor discharging. It was fairly flat terrain. Stayed that way for about a minute, then began to discharge. It did this several more times on the way home. The battery stayed high for the whole trip, until I exited the freeway and cancelled Eco-Cruise. Also, the average MPGs had crept up to 40, and by the time I was home it read 42.6! When I shut the car off, the Trip Summary read 44.2mpg for the 15.2 mile trip, with about 12 of it on the freeway. Jus, is this your Ice High MPG? Oh, yeah, and I saw a White C-Max on the way to work today. Actually the driver saw me first and honked....we both waved and grinned.......kindred spirits on the road :hi5:
  21. No way!!! I feel your pain! I think I'd cry if it started snowing here again right now. Is it sticking? It won't stay around long, you know that! Think of it as *anti-drought* for the summer............ I know, that doesn't help at all........
  22. WOW!! Impressive frbill!!! Way to knock it out of the park!!
  23. Welcome d90! Good to see someone else here from Michigan! What a great time to get your new car! The weather is moderating, and with all the info you've already learned here, you're way ahead of the game! I hope your 3.5.1 continues to perform flawlessly for you. Now, if the rest of us could only get our hands on it.............. Again, Welcome, and congrats on owning a wonderful new vehicle!
  24. for my higher MPGs in the warmer weather here in MI to make a significant change in my Fuelly numbers, so I thought I'd report on the latest fillup....Feel free to yawn, or actually fall asleep if you want..... 4529 total miles 349.3 miles on this tank ( I know, I know Jus....I had at least 1/4 tank left to go but I have stuff to do tomorrow that doesn't lend itself to fillups.) 41.6 mpg on this tank YAYAYAY!!! 170.8 EV miles 21.0 Regen miles 95% Brake score Even tho Fuelly shows 36.6...........vs 36.2 yesterday.............I'm gettin' there!
  25. I was planning to call tomorrow anyway. My person hasn't returned my call returning their call......they said there were no *recalls* on my VIN#. I explained that I wasn't concerned about a recall but an update! That's where the convo died. I gave her 3 days........tomorrow I make the call......and to Ford Customer Service too!!!
