Great choice of colors Alan :>) It will be worth the wait............and just in time for spring!

Mine is just the opposite Nick. Mine defaults to high whether it's defrost or heat, and I have to button it down to where I want it. Now, if I leave it on when I turn the car off, next time I turn it on, the fan will be the same as I left it.

Congratulations!!! 7 weeks may have seemed like forever, but it's not as long as some have waited, so I'm glad for you! I know what you mean about the navigator. That surprised me too, the first time my husband tried to input an address while I was driving. Now that we know the voice commmands it's going better. My pet peeve is that the climate fan defaults to HIGH. I would much prefer medium, or even low....but.. Have fun learning about your new ride!!

Jus, love how you parked between two spaces! A little buffer of protection on each side :>)

That was amazing! What a great read first thing on a Sunday morning. Thanks for taking the time to post this summary after your long day. I'm glad we had such great representation from the forum, both to take member concerns to the engineers, and to post back to the rest of us. Did they realize how many folks you were representing? I have a feeling that you educated the engineers more than they educated you.......and that's a great thing. I doubt they anticipated anyone coming as prepared as you were, with hand-outs, graphs, maps, screen shots and all! They'll have something to report (besides the wah, wah, wah, can't get 47mpg yackety schmacktey). Can't wait to read ronin's report. By any chance did my question about the SYNC/DROID/EARBUD come up? That's really been my only concern so far. Enjoy your Sunday.

I was wondering the same thing myself! ;)

Welcome Alan! That's what I have, and I love it......love the car and the color! You came to the right place to learn about your C-MAX! There is a wealth of knowledge on this site to get you up to speed (in EV mode) in time to drive your new baby home. Have fun getting to know all of us and all about your new vehicle.

No, she doesn't need to be distracted on her first drive :redcard:

Have a fabulous time Laurel!

She's probably still signing papers :nonono:

How about adding build date, in case there's a commonality there? SEL, 303A pkg. 3,200 miles. Built Nov. 24, 2012. No battery problems. (And I hope I didn't just jinx myself.)

Time to change your current vehicle Pkay! :)

Hi HybridBear, This was exactly my concern when my daughter mentioned the C-Max to me. I was driving a Jeep Liberty and was afraid that the C-Max would sit too low. I figured the Escape would be more to my liking, but because I respect my daughter's opinion, I drove the C-Max...........and LOVED it from the first! I slipped in to the drivers seat easily, not falling into it like my mother's Buick. And getting out was easy, not climbing out. To be fair, I drove the 2013 Escape next and then was convinced that the C-Max was the car for me. I have the hybrid, and I'm saving nearly $200/month in gas! I mostly drive to and from work (20 miles each way) with weekend errands and occasional short road trips. Nice of you to research this for your folks!

OMYGOSH! When you wake up tomorrow morning it will be less than 36 hours til you have your car!!!!
-
But why isn't the C'MAX featured on the front page of the Ford website? Inquiring minds want to know!
-
WOW, I just checked the dealership a few miles from my office and they have 21!!

So excited for you Rachel, I absolutely love my C-max. I've noticed that I am driving more miles per week than I did with my Civic - I want to drive it everywhere. And it sounds like the feeling hasn't worn off for those with the "older" C-maxes....LOL

No, it certainly hasn't. My Jelly Bean is my safe haven. I look forward to getting in it to drive anywhere!

Nope, Rachel is going to be so far ahead of the curve because of all the good info on this forum. She'll be educating the dealership.............why, they might even invite her in to do seminars on the C-Max..........who know where this could end up :>) (can't get the *real* smileys on my work computer)
