Hi 68MK2, It will be interesting to see if your dealership will give you a straight answer about the 3.5.1. Mine acts like I'm speaking a foreign language when I ask about it and seem very put-upon when I ask them to check repeatedly to see if it's available yet for *older* cars. I asked someone on SYNC chat the other day and got the standard party line......You have the latest version available for your car...... Seems like the cutoff date is sometime in Feb....before that 3.1.3, after that 3.5.1 Good luck getting the other issues taken care of. Oh, and WELCOME!! Glad you found us!

Excellent, thorough review Jus! Thanks for taking the time to put it all together, in one thread. This will be a valuable read for newcomers to the forum, whether they already have their car or are in the *thinking about a C-MAX* stage.

I FINALLY got to meet the owner of the Blue Candy SE that visits occasionally just down the street from me. I was returning from taking Asia to meet a friend for dinner and lo and behold, he was walking out to his car!!! Of course I slammed on the brakes (brake score 75% :>( and honked the horn. At first the poor guy looked startled, then got a big grin on his face when he recognized the car and walked over to chat. :hi5: He apparently does mostly freeway travel, at freeway speeds, :shift: so he's not getting the MPGs that he could, but he seemed ok with it. He looked a little stunned when I told him that my last tank was 44mpg. :drop: Of course I told him about this forum, so maybe he'll stop by sometime.

Uh, you do know that the rear wiper is automatic too, if you're backing up and it's raining, right? I only ask because I didn't know that, and several times after I first got the car, I'd be backing up and swore that accidentally bumped the rear wiper, when it was actually sensing rain and doing what it was supposed to do :sing_rain:

Well, we've bought new tomato cages and tuned up the tiller, pulled the ground cloth off, but that's about all we can do right now. We've had so much rain that we'd be up to our eyeballs in mud out there right now.......But the ground really needs the water, after last year, so I can't complain. This weekend, Asia's running practice on Saturday and off to the orchid show on Sunday for me!

Well, I spoke too soon. Turns out my phone book didn't upload to SYNC. 3 tries later, and a Master Reset, and it all seems to be working..........maybe even better than the old one. The switch from SYNC to Bluetooth headset while on a call went seamlessly this morning. And that's a very good thing.

OK, so I deleted the old phone this morning and SYNC'd the new one this afternoon. It appears to have been a non-event......clicked add phone, opened Bluetooth, searched for SYNC, typed in the secret code and it was done. WHEW!!! Thanks for all the replies!

Just crossed the 5,000 mark and had my *The Works* oil change/tire rotation today. Got all green check marks!

Someone whacked a power pole near my office today and took out the power for blocks. They sent us home at noon...............a free half day off!!! :happy feet: So what do I do? Go by Lowe's and pick up some Korean lilacs to plant and stop by my dealership for the 5,000 mile oil change. (Jus......I *almost* got a picture of 5050.05.........but I couldn't stop safely.) :redcard: I had them put the car on their computer to see if anything showed up from the STOP SAFELY NOW message (that has not been repeated), but all was good. While I was waiting, I went in to talk to my salesman, who had a new C-Max owner-to-be at his desk!! I got to talk up the C-MAX, mileage, features, forum, upcoming OWNER EVENT!!! lots of stuff. It was good to be able to share some of the info I've learned here with a newby.

Ok, so last Thursday my Droid 4 appeared to die. I say *appeared* because when I was on the phone w/Verizon tech support, we couldn't revive it. So, because it was still under warranty , they sent out a replacement, which arrived today. In the meantime, the phone has worked ok, only ok, because it seems to not have the battery life it should. Anyway, the replacement is here, and I'm debating the trauma involved in unSYNCing and reSYNCing. Has anyone else done this?

I would have tried for it that time, Jus, but we had to leave @ 6:30 Saturday morning for a race in Dearborn and I didn't want to be messing around with fillups on race day. This tank has some highway driving @ highway speeds on it, so we'll see how it turns out. I'm @ 40mpg right now .
