  1. If its the suction mount that comes with the camera, those are pretty good. I have used mine on the side of my Jeep while rack crawling and it stuck all day. I realize I don't have the wind you would, but I hope your Cmax isn't getting hit by tree branches all day. ;) Just make sure the surface is clean. I would like to see this too!
  2. Internal Combustion Engine
  3. I have bought my rear floor mat and my window deflector from the seller "fairfome" on ebay. It's a Ford dealer in Ohio. Great prices, no shipping cost. Quick shipping and great communication also.
  4. After watching the episode, the new sedan appeared to be a Chevy Impala (most likely a V-6) while the coupe appeared to be a Ford Focus (4-cylinder). I think that was the difference.
  5. Yes, I have registered. I have actually ran 3 reports in the past. This is the first time I have seen this message. The only thing different is the 3.5.1 update. I also have great cell signal.
  6. Sometime after I got the 3.5.1 update I tried to run a vehicle health report. I got a message that I had not driven enough and I needed to drive 200 miles. That was 300 miles ago. Anyone else having this issue? I'm really not wanting to take it back to the dealer to fix this.
  7. I know the one from Amazon works with several of the Android apps out there. I used several of the free ones then purchased this one to use with it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en
  8. The Scangage does basically the same thing this product does, but the scangage does not need a smartphone and app. They both read the same data from the car. I am sure the apps for the smartphone can manipulate the data in more ways, but I don't know since I haven't used one in a while. The Scangage does not let you attach other sensors to it like this product appears to. If you are interested in reading the data and playing with the apps I would suggest you go a cheaper route and buy one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051DUVK0/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have this one and it works through Bluetooth to your phone. It will work with the same apps listed on the plx web site. It works fine, I just couldn't find an app I liked as much as the scangage.
  9. For the most part a scangage reports the same stuff that the Cmax gauges do. I use it to supplement what the dash does. I display instantaneous mpg, tank mpg, engine rpm, and high voltage battery state of charge (in %, 0-100). The scangage can also display things like throttle position, water temp, intake air temp, 12v battery voltage, and other stuff like that. It can also read and reset engine codes.
  10. I'm not sure. The receptionist didn't know who was driving it and my office does not have a window looking out. Thanks on the scangage. I love using my scangage with the Cmax, I just wish there were more Xgauges for the Cmax.
  11. Working on my best tank. My lifetime averagge from fuelly is 41.6 (see my signature), so this is GREAT. Weather has been ok here in NC, warm but hot hot enough to run the air. My 27 mile route to and from work include about 20 miles of interstate. During the winter (and when the car was new, purchased 1/15/13) this same route would get me 40-43, now I am getting 49-50 pretty consistantly.
  12. Actually Diesel-electric locomotives are not hybrids. They have no batteries capable of moving the locomotive or provide any motive power what so ever. The diesel engine turns an generator that provides electricity to drive the electric motors that drive the wheels. They do have massive resistive electric grids to use waste energy generated by dynamic braking.
  13. Depends on where or what you define as Charlotte area. I'm north (and north west) of Charlotte. Depending on whether I'm at work (Statesville) or home (Hickory).
  14. Yes that is exactly what it is like.
  15. Just an FYI, I had a piece of weatherstripping (?) on the drivers rear door that worked loose on mine. It was the piece between the windows attached to the rear door. I noticed an increase in wind noise coming from that area. I pressed the piece back on securely and have not had a problem since.
  16. My understanding is the ICE does not come on to burn excess energy, it comes on to provide engine braking. Once the battery is full, the electric motor can no longer provide regenerative braking. The ICE comes on (but generally does not burn any fuel) to provide regular engine braking. Hope this helps.
  17. I had that exact same thing happen. There is a Grey Cmax visiting my neighborhood and today I got back from lunch and a Silver one is parked in the visitor lot. (Pictures under another thread)

  19. I go out for lunch at work today, when I returned, I parked and what is in front of me? Yes a Cmax in one of the visitor spots.
  20. I've owned my Cmax since January 15th, 2013, I think I have seen maybe 2 other Cmaxes (or is it Cmaxi?) in that time. Now there is a Sterling Grey SE parked about 5 doors down! I did notice that they are visiting since I am in NC and the license plate shows it’s from SC. My Cmax is no longer unique!
  21. I've got an SE and I have got the 3.5.1 update installed last week.
  22. Mine were erased and have not come back yet. However, when I did have it under 3.1.3, I had noticed that the location of EV+ coming on was slightly dependant on my battery level. If my battery was almost full, it would go into EV+ alittle further from home and if the battery was really low, it would go into EV+ mode closer to home. The difference being a couple of hundred feet maybe. I don't know the distance from my home I just notice the landmarks where it would cut on. And it only made a difference if the battery was really full (~80%+) or really low (~20% or less). Anywhere inbetween and it cut on at the same place (+/- a few feet). As I am typing this I am wondering if your issue could be due to the GPS having a more (or less  ) accurate location of where "Home" is after the upgrade?
  23. I believe both the live weather a traffic are provided by Sirius. So if you don't have the service you will be missing these things. However, Looking on Sirius web site, those services are $5.99/month. I don't know if you have to have a regular subscription to get them or if you can buy them by themselves.
  24. Unless I am misunderstanding you, the AVG you see while driving is the lifetime AVG number. I don't know any way to display anything other than lifetime average while driving.
