  1. It's the same recall, just a different title. The door-chime remedy is to reprogram the instrument panel control module (IPC). Takes about 15 minutes according to the dealer instructions.
  2. The C-Max uses a scroll compressor, so this link may help with identifying compressor noise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hapg3FbD9Es
  3. Mine were replaced last week under warranty.
  4. Make that Continuously vs Constant.
  5. Sounds like advantageous auspicious advice.
  6. Mine was just delivered. Purchased car 10/1/12. Here's the enclosed letter:
  7. Good idea. Post it in the C-Max improvements thread.
  8. May I suggest the SEL model. They seem to have fewer battery problems. Also, I find the leather seats easier to slide in and out of than cloth.
  9. My SEL has a "headlights on" indicator just above the "N" on the speedometer.
  10. (Emphasis mine.) MFT does NOT necessarily include navigation!
  11. To offer a somewhat different perspective, I do NOT have navigation but have used Sync Services Directions many times and have found it works very well. The instructions are shown on both the big MFT screen and on the small screen to the right of the speedometer. Directions are correct, timely (e.g. "turn right in two tenths of a mile onto Main St."), it understands when you're off route and asks if rerouting is wanted, survives turning the car off, and so forth. I'm quite impressed.
  12. Seems the issue has been fixed. Now, if "they" would just implement some of the "How to Make the Forum Better" suggestions....
  13. Actually, the "big screen" is standard on the SEL (comes with MFT).
  14. No. Remember navigation and gps are NOT the same thing. Every C-Max has a gps unit. This is how EV+ knows when to kick-in. Navigation adds streets, directions, etc. (Sync services not withstanding),
  15. I seem to recall noticing the front windshield gap before having the headliner fix. I think that's just how it's designed. Can't speak to the back window area; it seems OK to me as is.
  16. Looks like a difference between having nav or not. I do not have navigation; I do have MFT and the "Where am I" screen shows long., lat., and altitude. Someone else can post a picture. Sorry for any confusion. As I've posted before, MFT not equal navigation not equal GPS.
  17. For those who may not be aware, the "Where an I" MFT screen gives altitude, and will display changes as one drives.
