  1. The inverter cooling system does not have a drain plug and you need to remove the hose close to the pump to drain it. I believe it only takes less than 1 quart of coolant. The engine radiator has a drain plug and something to connect a hose on to it for draining...so you don't spill the coolant all over the place. I don't know how much coolant you would need when you just drain and refill the radiator from the drain plug though. Anybody knows?
  2. 20 psi is a lot...sometimes the valve could be leaking also if there is no puncture. I had that happen on another car and was able to tighten the valve and everything was OK
  3. Does the C max have a timing belt or chain? If it has a belt...when should it be changed?
  4. How much do they charge for the transmission fluid change?
  5. My front splash shield came off a few times (I believe from bumping into stuff while making a turn...this car is terrible with turns) and now all the screws or clips in the front are missing. I know in the back this is screwed on with tab screws like the other shield ...but I have no idea how this shield was connected to the bumper front side since I don't see any screw holes or U-Nuts. Anybody has a picture from the front underneath, or knows what screws or clips I need?
  6. Does anyone know where the transmission cable bushing on the cmax is located. Do you access it from the top or do you have to remove the lower splash shield to get to it?
  7. I would say it's normal. When it's colder or the hybrid battery is low, the gas engine will start - and because the engine is cold, it makes more noise/rumbling than a warm engine. The car doesn't start in electric mode always.
  8. I wonder why they always disappear once the car changes the owner. People take it off and forget where they left it?
  9. I changed mine and did not disconnect the high voltage
  10. I never saw anything about the battery reset in my 2014 manual?
  11. Yes, exact same thing happened to me already 3 times. I now just clean it, lift the wire up a little, put some super glue with baking soda underneath it to fill in the gap and flip the bulb around. Should last another year since the lamp itself is intact. I don't know why it's getting so hot though
  12. I bought my battery from Ford and it was fresh....actually got a much better price than from any other retailers to my surprise. So I suggest to check the price at your Ford dealer first before you get a new battery.
  13. Wow, didn't know the Energi is so much harder than the SEL to replace the battery. Much more cable in the way. I had my battery out for 2 hours (because I brought it to the dealer for core exchange) and thought for sure all my setting were gone, but for some reason everything was still the same as before. Maybe the HV battery takes over for some time to keep all the settings incl. time, radio stations, history.....?
  14. I have to add some coolant to the ICE like once a year because it gets below the MIN mark. Every time I add, I see some coolant leaking on the floor and I don't know where it comes from. I didn't spill any and only added to get it up to the MIN mark again. Is this by design so you don't accidently overfill it? Anybody else experienced this? The car is not overheating and I don't see any leaks on the floor other than when I add.?
  15. Did you get it off? I used an oil filter wrench to get mine off. After that I've rubbed some coolant on the rubber sealant rings from the cap to get it on easy.
  16. Our 2014 does not have a button inside the car. The hatch is electric and only opens with remote or from the outside button, and also.... only if your battery is not dead. Don't know if the 2017 is different.
  17. I had to change the tires around 90k. The 12v battery was 7 years old.
  18. We have a 2014 SEL with 120k miles, and so far very trouble free. Only replaced tires once and 12v battery.
  19. Thanks, I've found it now under the BdyCM - Body Control Module. I reset it yesterday and it says 1 day old. Changed the battery a week ago but I don't think a few days will make a big difference.
  20. @cr08 I only have the PID for the HVB and you're right...it's counted by month. I have nothing for the 12v battery. Maybe I'll scan again later.
  21. I got the free forscan app for windows and reset my battery monitor since I've got a new battery... but I don't see how many days it had or has. Is this a feature only in the paid version?
  22. Nice. That answers my question. Thanks homestead.
