  1. I saw this C-Max in Charles Town West Virginia on Monday September 16th. I pulled into the parking lot and saw it sitting there so I parked beside it. I got out and saw that the owner was sitting in the car. I talked to him about his C-Max because I was very excited to share my joy. Unfortunately he isn't as happy with his as I am with mine. I told him about this forum but he didn't seem very interested. It was a pretty silver with black leather interior. Here's the picture I snapped as he was leaving:
  2. I need to bump myself up the list a bit with my new best. Here it is:
  3. I am a bit of a computer nut who likes to buy and sell them. I'm typing on my new MacBook Pro. I also love to knit all sorts of stuff. I'm currently knitting a baby blanket and two pairs of socks. Maybe I'll make a blanket for my Max :puppy_kiss: Besides my dear husband I have a Lakeland Terrier. Or as I like to call him a Lakeland Terror. I like to train and walk him and hang out with him and my husband. As my husband says I've already trained him so no problem there  The three of us travel to our beach house every month to relax. I also like to go shopping with one of my girlfriends and dog walking with the other.
  4. Sorry about your car trouble RachaelnLa. I hope everything goes smooth from now on!
  5. Have a nice day everyone! I'll be at a family cookout then back to finish my chores. Max may even get a bath today.
  6. Hey Hannah I missed you at the beach last week. We just got back from Myrtle Beach too on Monday. Our trip is about the same distance from Roanoke, Va. I've seen an increase of about 2 mpg since the update. I also noticed that I'm able to obtain ice high for longer periods than before the update. I'm talking about on the rolling hills on 220 through Ashboro and Greensboro North Carolina driving between 60 to 70 mph.
  7. I only have one dog but he can do a leap from the back to the front all at once. I also don't have the dog barrier that you are thinking about buying. I decided to try a holster with a tether that hooks into the seat belt. It works great. Now he sits or sleeps on trips unless he wants some attention. In that case he puts his feet on the arm rest and lays his head on my shoulder. It's much safer for everyone especially the dog because the tether is short and the harness is padded. It's not the best quality like you would find for people but it's the best that can be found right now. Good luck with the method you choose.
  8. Thanks Laurel but I only live here part time. We come to the beach about once a month. We live about 300 miles away in Virginia. Many Canadians visit here all year. In fact I think October is called Canadian month here.
  9. Now that you mention it JulieB I was parked at a convenience store right by the front entrance sitting in my car waiting for my husband when the passenger of the car beside me opened her door right into my side mirror. The mirrors must be pretty because it didn't make a mark on mine either. Afterwards the driver came out and said she was sorry. My husband just read this post as I was typing and "You know what they say about that? Shi.....happens! :lol2:
  10. Hey HannahWCU, I'll keep my eyes open for you! Mine is Ice Storm color with Virginia tags.
  11. I'm sorry your Max got damaged. I park all the way at the back of parking lots too Rachelnla. You never know though. My husband parked his brand new Jag years ago far far away from the other cars in a lot and when he came back to his car he had a ding in the door.
  12. I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. I hope it can be repaired easily.
  13. Congratulations Phil1336! She's a beauty.
  14. I have the Same here problem with the dealer installed update.
  15. After the update on our monthly 300 mile trip we easily saw about 2 mpg better on the instantaneous fuel. We'll fill up in a couple days and post our true results.
  16. I saw my car's twin while I was walking in Myrtle Beach's Market Common this morning. It has North Carolina tags. I didn't have my camera but I'm hoping that the person I saw frequents these forums. You could say Im waving to him now ; ) I love your car!
  17. I love the creativity in rek's name "Sparky" and fbov's name "Porter" for your thoughtfulness. Yea fbov that was her name. She was pretty spunky.
  18. This was a fun trip. I drove down the Roanoke Mountain to my house on this trip. The starting elevation was about 2200 feet and a winding road most of the way down. The speed limit was 35 so I had to keep my foot on the brake most of the time. The other half of the trip was in traffic at 35 mph.
  19. I found a great coin holder. Okay girls get out your lipstick cases. I'm not sure any man would want a lipstick case/coin holder but if you can find one in a neutral color there you go. No one would know the difference. Quarters fit right in. I don't know if they are all the same size but mine fits right under the armrest door. Here's the picture. It's the green case right below the hinge. I may cut the top off the case so that the coins can be accessed easier. Right now I have mine wedged into that little space until I see if it stays there. Otherwise I'll put some velcro on it so that it sticks permanently.
  20. That's okay....I have Microsoft Windows as an app on my Mac. Let's see Microsoft do that. Sorry I'm a previously frustrated Microsoft user.
