  1. That was great Jus! Thank you for sharing. Happy Fourth to everyone :dogwalk:
  2. I can't help but wonder what the owners of these cars think when they come out of the store and see another C-Max parked by theirs. I have yet to talk to one. I think I would yell and scream while my husband is walking the other way in embarrassment :sing_rain:
  3. My first car was a used 65 off white Ford Mustang. I loved the car until I got home and it wouldn't start. Since I wasn't mechanical like my brothers my father took me back to the dealership and exchanged the car for a green 66 convertible Camero. I had fun driving it for a couple years.
  4. That's sad Laurel. I met a C-Max owner and had a similar experience but the man was at least more talkative. I've also seen other Max's on the road and waved like crazy without any acknowledgment. Just drive to Roanoke Virginia and I'll chat and talk mileage with you :shift: !
  5. Thank you Jus. Now I'm thinking what else is there to try.......Okay I'll be patient and master what I've learned so far.
  6. That would be fun! I live 5 hours away but would drive there just to race.
  7. My first change was also complimentary. I also had it done today with a little over 5000 miles. My dealership has an Owner Advantage Rewards program. I get $10 off my next visit for a new vehicle reward and each time I have work done there I get points for dollars off. I see on the paper that tells me how many points I have that it is Ford Owner Advantage which may be organized through Ford. Maybe you could ask your dealer if they have this program.
  8. Wow Jus we'll have to create a new category for the Guinness Book of World Records and you will be the best hypermiler. You are awesome! Below are my mpgs for my shopping trips and oil change. I think I may have gotten the feathering down a bit better. I found that I wasn't going fast enough during ICE to charge the battery.
  9. Thanks Jus! Do you know your routes so well that you get close to the same mpg every time? Right now I'm starting to make notes on my mpg each route I take to figure out the most economical. What does PM mean?
  10. That's good news to me. I had a few 4 mile trips this weekend that I could have posted but thought I was posting to many short trips. Wow Jus! That's amazing especially since you're not even trying for an 800 tank. I'm going back to reading more of your posts.
  11. Congratulations Jus! You're an inspiration. :worship:
  12. Yea I think I would stick to your normal habit of not looking. People are more relaxed down south where I drive in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. I'll remember to keep my eyes ahead while driving in New York. Is that just in New York City or all over the state?
  13. Wow Jus! That is phenomenal :hi5:
  14. Here's my latest over 50 mpg. It half 55 mph highway on eco cruise with small inclines and half 35 mph. k
  15. Congratulations frbill! That's very admirable.
  16. I'm looking forward to reading your stories spyburn! When do you expect to get your CMax?
  17. I'm going on a trip to visit my parent's in a couple weeks up interstate 81. The speed limit is mostly 70 with mountains and rolling hills. I also plotted a route on route 11 or 220 with 55 mph speed limits and found that it would take me twice as long and cost about $2 more for gas. I need to do some serious thinking on how to get my 600 mile tank in town. Okay it's time to put my passengers to sleep :sos: . Any ideas?
  18. Go for it HannahWCU!
  19. Oh you're making me laugh Jus. I'd love to be a pink lady and share it with all the other gals!
  20. Merde also means sh.......t in French. I don't usually swear but this word is okay to me since most people in the states don't know what it means. Uh oh, now I can't use it because everyone reading this will know. My husband was born in France and lived there until the age of 12. He taught me this dirty word. Merde just sounds so much better than our word. Those French really know how to make their words sing.
  21. I saw a Gray one while on the highway going through Greensboro, SC. It was a very sad site though because the back end was all smooshed in. I felt so sad for the owner. I'm sure it will look like new once it's repaired.
  22. I love the stories too Laurel. The only Texan story I have is that my brother lived in Odessa Texas in the eighties. I think he worked in construction. I've only been to the big airports there on a layover. I was raised in Hagerstown Maryland in the 60's and 70's. My first car was a used 60 something Ford Mustang. I loved the car until I got home and it wouldn't start. Since I wasn't mechanical like all of my brothers my father took me back to the dealership and exchanged the car for a 60's Camero. My C-Max is the first Ford I've had since then. My husband drives a 2004 T-Bird that I love too. He originally bought it for me but after a while we decided to use it as our Sunday car. We drove it for a while with the top down on the cool summer evenings. Then he got rid of his Caddie and has been driving the T-Bird full time since. I don't think I've been anywhere with him in the T-Bird since I got Max. That's okay because he loves to be chaperoned around. Maybe I'll drive him to Texas :shift:
  23. I like your plates zhackwyatt! I'll wave to you if you come to Virginia where I have C-Maxgo on my tags. Nice wording too SucbaDadMiami.
