Model: C-Max Hybrid SEL 303A black/black with sunroof Date Ordered: May 9 2013 Promised Delivery time: 8 Weeks-Wasn't actually promised was told up to 10 weeks. Actual Delivery Date: TBD State: TX Yes, we are crazy. We are getting a black car with black interior with the sunroof, and we live in El Paso. We don't plan on being here forever though, probably move back to Colorado in the next few years. Got an email today showing the order screen from the dealer. It is scheduled to be built 7-15-13(which would be awesome as it's my sons' 10th b-day). I am assuming it just means scheduled for that week, and most likely will not be built on that day. I imagine it will take at least two weeks after that to actually get here. :waiting:

I work for a vision impaired couple, she can see a little(but is more than legally blind and cannot drive), he is completely blind . They tune and repair pianos. I drive them and help when they need it. One day I was driving with her, in the '08 Escape hybrid. We were going to pick up her husband at their house. He was waiting outside. They do live on the corner of a pretty busy street, but there was very little traffic at this time. We were able to roll up in the driveway in EV mode one time, and he didn't hear us. We both sat in the car for a few seconds, waiting for him to get in. As he has done in the past when he heard us pull up. He didn't move until I rolled down the window to talk to him and the engine kicked on. She was in disbelief that he didn't hear us. He is in his early 50's, has been blind since he was a teenager, and she has been married to him for 30 years. She said that it is near impossible to sneak up on him. He will hear you, smell you, or feel the air move. But we did it in a car. She still remarks about it, and he swears we weren't really there. :hysterical: Haven't been able to do it since. After telling them about the Cmax, she said maybe we would be able to do it again. He says, "Yea, like to see you try". So, one day I will try, but he will be expecting it, so it won't be easy.

Well, that hasn't happened, count it lucky if you want. I have cameras pointed at the drive(and street) and the front door. If we saw someone like that, well then yeah the police would be called, and I would have it videotaped. I have a german shepard behind the door, and well I live in Texas, so I'd tell them to bring the coroner too.

I live 3 houses away from a middle school, and can tell you that people sometimes park in front of our driveway (sometimes just partially). Not often, and usually only once. We have never called the cops. We usually write a note(on paper) and place it on the windshield. We have 4 drivers in the house, each with their own car. The most effective way we have of getting our point across, is simply finishing the job. We will take the vehicles and arrange them on our property, and in the street(blocking our own access), and making it impossible for them to leave. :hysterical: They then have to knock on the door, and we explain ourselves while unblocking their vehicle. That technique usually has no re-peat offenders. Sometimes they get a little upset, but usually they understand, some have even gone away kind of laughing.

We ordered ours on 5/9. I about flipped when a few days later the 14 order guide started popping up online. I asked sales manager about the 14's and he said that he has not seen the order guide yet. He asked if I wanted to cancel and wait. I said NO! We don't want to wait either(especially with no changes being made to the 14's). Ours is black/black with 303a, remote start, ext. protect. We also got the roof, and are planning on tinting it just as you have. :waiting:

Oh, it's getting tint asap after we get it home, unless I can get the dealer to do it(without it taking a week). I drive a metallic red F150, my wife drives light blue Escape hybrid, they both get very hot. We figured with the remote start with a/c on, then the 4 window roll down with the remote, we will be able to negate the black on black. I really like the look of this car best in black. One more day closer. Have never ordered a car before. :waiting:

Soon to be one more in Texas. We put the deposit down on our black max last week. 303A, sunroof, and yes remote start to cool it down a bit before we get in(El Paso gets hot). We are anxiously waiting.

We own a 2008 Escape Hybrid, we have loved it. I drove a C-Max out of curiosity, and really liked it. I drove another from a different dealer about a week later, and was sold. It takes everything that was great about the Escape hybrid, and improved it all around. After building several versions on the Ford website, we contacted the dealer we wanted to buy from. They only had one sel on the lot, with no options. After trying to find one built the way we wanted, and no dealer willing to trade, we put the $500 down on our order on 5/9/13. We are anxiously waiting for our C-Max hybrid sel. We are getting black/black, with 303a package, sunroof, remote start, and exterior protection package(for the mudflaps). Expected to be 8 weeks, we will be trading in the Escape hybrid.

I am wondering this is as well. I saw the 2014 order guide today, and have learned of this change. I am wondering about the C-Max we ordered on 5/9/13, was told it would take 8 weeks. I would really prefer the factory install the remote start. If orders are now open, it makes me wonder when job 1 date is. Now I am considering delaying the order until the 2014's start production.
