  1. We got our check today via FedEx. Check was printed on 10/07/2013, check number is: 004246039. Live in Washington State & last name starts with R. Gonna use the check as a down payment for some new shoes for Neytiri.
  2. We have our vanity plates on order from the state, just waiting on them to arrive. Hopefully by Halloween, as it takes on average about 8 weeks in Washington State to get vanity plates.
  3. September 28 was the one year mark for us having the C-Max. In that year, we've put over 37,000 miles on her, & traveled to Utah, Nevada, & back home. We're planning a trip in the spring to Norfolk, VA to see the USS Nicholas FFG-47 decommissioned.
  4. We bought ours on October 28, 2012, live in Southeastern Washington State, last name starts with R & no check yet.
  5. Any idea how they are sending out the checks? Earliest adopters first?
  6. Has there been any access changes to the Grand Canyon? I went back in 2004, & there were reports of shutting down auto access to all except residents, charter buses, & disabled. The C-Max is the perfect vehicle for driving through the National Parks.
  7. Had this happen this morning, while driving into town for doctor's appointments, I heard a thud come from the front of the C-Max. I did not see anything beforehand that could cause such a sound to happen. I started hearing scraping coming from the front & stopped at the nearest gas station (about 1/2 mile). When pulling into the gas station (slowly & with hazards running & windows down) several people nearby stated I was dragging. When I finally fully stopped & checked, found out that the undercarriage engine cover (or whatever it is appropriately called) had come loose. Called my SA & told him the situation & told him need to have the car looked at cause of everything. Went to the local NAPA store & the clerk did a temporary fix by using a large ziptie to secure the cover. When got to the dealership, gave the keys to the SA & within about 15 minutes, he handed us the keys and said it was fixed. Apparently, some of the caps holding it in place were missing and some of the others came loose.
  8. For the past couple of days, I've had to close the rear lift gate a couple of times to verify it's closed. I've checked all latches & cannot find anything that can block it, & from what I can tell everything is lined properly. Any ideas?? Also I noticed yesterday that there's a small gap between the bottom of the right headlight & the body panel where air can get in, as can bugs & weather/dust. Anyone else have this?
  9. Volkswagen's Hybrid entry, the Jetta Hybrid is a so-so for a vehicle. Only plus I can see about it is that it does have a spare tire.
  10. Actually from previous experience using GPS to Mapspot addresses during the 2010 Census, GPS is not 100% correct as not always does the satellite correctly read your position.
  11. My primary fun outside of the C-Max is helping my wife sell Scentsy, play video games, watch movies, & do various things online.
  12. I have noticed that there are businesses that have changed names before A4 came out, I have to update those names. Also not all streets have been completely updated on A4. With continual growth & changes, GPS is never 100% correct.
  13. First off, welcome to the forum. Concerning EV+, the onboard GPS will save 3-4 frequent destinations. Do you have Sync with MFT? One trick I've learned is to use NAV everywhere I go, even if I can drive the route in my sleep. I've noticed by watching gauges, that when I use NAV that the closer I get to the destination/waypoint I am in EV more, compared to not using NAV.
  14. Honda, as a whole, has a checkered past as Honda vehicles are highly likely to get stolen, so insurance rates can be higher for them. Honda really doesn't do much advertising concerning their hybrids, compared to what Toyota & Ford do. GM has several hybrids, as well, however how often do you hear of them being advertised.
  15. For those that run the same route(s) day in, day out, what's the biggest variance of MPG you've seen? This morning, I had an MPG of 999.9 for Trip Summary. Total length of trip was 1.2 miles round trip, to & from post office with the C-Max left running while running in to get mail. The whole time was in EV. There have been other times where for that same trip, the trip summary shows 20.5 MPG (battery not fully charged & ICE used). Generally the highest speed is 15 MPH as it's all surface road driving in a small rural community. There are times when we use the highway which has a speed limit of 45 MPH (as it's a 2-lane that goes through town). On these trips, we normally have a trip summary of about 25.5 MPG-60.5 MPG (the total length of this route round trip is about 1.3-1.5 miles).
  16. Next time we take Neytiri in for an oil change I'll have to ask about having this done. Has there been any FE changes after doing this?
  17. This may be a different experience for everyone else, but I use NAV everywhere I go. I do notice that EV does get used more closer to waypoint/destination compared to not using NAV.
  18. One thing I've noticed about hills & the C-Max is that the hill assist can help with FE on steeper grades when going downhill.
  19. The oil change interval will vary depending on driving conditions & driving habits. If you live in the country & drive a lot on gravel/dirt roads you'll be doing the oil change more frequently compared to living in the city. On average, we're doing an oil change every 3 months (doesn't help that we have round trips averaging 120-130 miles 2-3 times a week).
  20. At least it's not air infused with hemp or marijuana keeping the tires inflated. Our dealership is so busy we have to schedule an appointment for any type of service a week in advance minimum.
  21. Most of the government vehicles around here are the Police Interceptors or 2010 Escape Hybrids. That would be nice to see a C-Max being used by a government entity.
  22. I asked about the Global Closing on the C-Max at my servicing/selling dealership & was told that the module for Global Closing was not put in on the C-Max. I wonder how much it'd be to have it put in.
  23. Our Sony system is listed as a SiriusXM System. I'd never heard of those 3 stations till now.
  24. I looked up info on http://www.etis.ford.com/home.do & noticed that I had two Outstanding Field Service Actions listed. 12M02 - SYNC WITH MYFORD/MYLINCOLN TOUCH - WARRANTY EXTENSION COVERING ACCESSORY PROTOCO L INTERFACE MODULE (APIM) 13B10 - FUEL ECONOMY CUSTOMER SATISFACTION Any idea what 12M02 is about?? They are listed via ETIS, but when I check http://owner.ford.com I do not see anything listed.
