  1. Cavies is the terminology used by the American Rabbit Breeders Association for Guinea Pigs. A better explanation as to why the term cavies is used can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guinea_pig
  2. Even though it has not been stated yet, I am thinking that as long as your purchase/lease started before the Press Release was made, you'll get the rebate. I am also thinking that if the purchase/lease is of a pre-owned unit, it must be done from a Ford Dealership. That's cool that even though you're the 2nd owner you still qualify.
  3. Back in November, we had the back of Neytiri loaded up with rabbits & cavies (guinea pigs), with 3 adults. The right rear seat (60 of the 60/40 split) was down. I think I remember taking a picture, & will post it if I can find it.
  4. That's about as bad as my wife & I calling a male cat "Stripe" cause he has a white stripe in a sea of orange on his face, plus the attitude to match, & his sisters, Kate (Billy's girlfriend) & Marla (Billy's supervisor in Gremlins 2). Concerning C-Max name, we chose Neytiri (AVATAR) being the C-Max is environmentally friendly. That would be nice if we could change the voice to something a bit less robotic sounding, as well as change the NAV icon to something other than the red compass point.
  5. First off, welcome to the forum & the wonderful world of C-Max ownership. Secondly, as an engineer what thing(s) would you like see added to the C-Max?
  6. We've had our C-Max Hybrid since Sept. 28 & we have about 33,000 miles
  7. We happened upon those clips in the glove box while cleaning out the glove box. By the time we reach the one year mark, it would not surprise me if we have about 50,000 miles.
  8. Apparently as part of the pending/current law suit against Ford about the EPA Fuel Estimates, there's going to be some changes done to the 2014 Ford C-Max Hybrid, as well as changes on the labels for the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. According to the article below, current Ford C-Max Hybrid Owners/Leasees will be getting a check as well. https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2013/08/15/c-max-fuel-economy.html
  9. It sounds like those dealerships, where problems have happened, rely too much on Wi-Fi. I actually mentioned to my SA about Ford's recommendation to have the servicing computers hard wired & he actually liked that suggestion, that he was gonna mention it to the higher ups.
  10. As I stated previously, I've done pulse & glide, I've even sped up to 5 MPH+ the speed I want, set cruise & using Set- coasted down to the speed I want. The majority of our freeway driving is 20+ miles in a 70 MPH Speed Zone, & so far after 1 one way trip, & 1 round trip, we've only manged to get EV to kick in above 62 MPH while going downhill. So either the roadways around here are not level or there is some other factor happening. When going 65-70, EV Assist will kick in. I verified from the SA that 13B07 was successfully installed before leaving the dealership with the car.
  11. We got the letter about 13B07 after already getting it installed yesterday, today. For some reason we are unable to maintain high speed EV except when going downhill, any ideas??
  12. Wish me luck, gonna install MFT 3.6 Install was successful!!
  13. Walmat has a GorillaDrive Ruggedized 16 GB USB Flash Drive for $14.97 before tax. The $10 Flash Drives apparently are available online only, or in stores in select regions.
  14. One issue not mentioned is if the computer the techs are using is on a wireless connection, there can be disconnection problems, which forces them to have to possibly restart the update install back at step 1.
  15. Our local dealership has a few for sale (both Hybrids & Energis) as now the demand seems low, & people are not buying.
  16. Kinda hard to do it by self when no USB drive available
  17. We've barely had MFT 3.5.1 less than a month, now there's MFT 3.6, does this mean another trip to the dealership?
  18. We got 13B07 done today, I have noticed EV Assist doing 70. We had EV when going downhill at both 65 & 70, so might have to try P&G using the cruise control set+\set-.
  19. Got the 13B07 upgrade today, earlier this week put in a stylus & holder, found out about a pen/stylus/tire gauge holder in the glove box.
  20. Did the 30,000 mile maintenance & installation of 13B07 & thanks to having enough credit built up, we got the servicing for free. Found out that the dealership's servicing computers are wireless, from the SA, I mentioned Ford's recommendation about havin' all servicing computers hard wired to the Internet, & he said he'd put in that recommendation for consideration to help the dealership with updates/upgrades.
  21. 13B07 is now installed, so far only time we've been in EV above 62 is when going downhill. So either the road/terrain not feasible for high speed EV or it will take a trip or two to work out the bugs.
  22. Here at the dealership now, just sittin' & waitin' for 13B07 to be installed & the 30,000 mile maintenance done.
  23. Rarely with all the cars I have had, have I ever matched the EPA Estimates. I have either been above or below those estimates, though the majority of the time below estimates, especially living in a rural area with dealing with farm trucks & machinery 9 months out of the year. Also doesn't help that around here, you either have to drive the speed limit or faster, otherwise you get ran off the road. The main highway near us has a speed limit of 70 for cars, 60 for trucks, unfortunately a lot of cars are doing 75-80, while the trucks are doing 65-70. The EPA Ratings/estimates are just that: estimates.
  24. Due to a double error, both on my part & the SA's, the installing of 13B07 & the 30,000 mile maintenance will not happen till tomorrow. I had it put in as today as that's what I heard him say initially, without double verifying it. While there at the dealership, I asked the SA about the Oil Change light & driving over a 1,000 miles with it lit, & he said not to worry about it as apparently there have been others in the past that have driven 10,000+ miles with it lit with no issues.
  25. Due to a double error, both on my part & the SA's, the installing of 13B07 will not happen till tomorrow. I had it put in as today as that's what I heard him say initially, without double verifying it.
