  1. This could be, It only goes when the front wiper goes first thing when you start up. Usually when it's wet. :headscratch: Paul
  2. I see the same and I have auto sensing wiper position on. :) Paul
  3. It seems like the SOC goes down pretty fast when the A/C is running. IMO and the MPG's definitely is going down fast from my experience. With ScanGaugeII you can watch the SOC going down when A/C is on. Paul
  4. Well it has taken 5 days to get my average on this tank back up to 58.2 mpg with 282 mi. on tank, although I did use a little A/C yesterday with my Wife in the car. YouTube video views up to 1944. :) Paul
  5. This is a good point. The down side to that is I get twice the gas mileage at 35mph that I get a 70mph. :headscratch: :) Paul
  6. A/C doesn't run directly off ICE, but all energy comes from the ICE charging the HVB. This is probably a more efficient way to do it and I imagine some ICE cars are already doing it. I still know that running the A/C on long FWY trips I'm losing at least 2 MPG as compared to run with my windows down 2-3 inches. Paul
  7. I didn't like that feature on my FEH so I didn't get it on my CMAX. Just to scary. :) Paul
  8. Are you still using Michelin's and have you watched my YouTube Videos on How to get great gas mileage in a CMAX? Paul
  9. Yesterday was just another reminder of how using A/C on short trips can hurt your MPG's. Drove into town about 5 mi. with the A/C on, it was 88*F/ 90% humidity and my Wife doesn't do well with those kinds of conditions without A/C on. On the trip back to work I noticed I only got 38mpg and my average had dropped from 58.2mpg to 56.5mpg. :drop: I think we'll take my Wife's car today. :lol2: The total number of views for video's is up to 1862 now. :) Paul
  10. It sounds like you got your monies worth. :) And then some. What kind of driving do you do to get that many miles? What your Life Time MPG Score? Paul
  11. Looks like you are getting good MPG's in spite of tires. :) Paul
  12. Give your Partner your tires and put OEM Michelin's on your car, probably worth 2 mpg. With City driving you should be in the 50's mpg, Grill Covers would help to warmup WT quicker to improve MPGs. :) Ware in OH? Paul
  13. I payed $1.85 for Reg in Columbus, GA at a Raceway Station last night. :) BTW that was for my F150, not MADMAX. :) Paul
  14. This answer makes more sense, It would be hard for Trans to grind without bearings failing. :headscratch: I believe the First Cab falure was in Phoenix and their are a lot of FWY's to go anywhere. Paul
  15. I filled up today and ended up with actual 58.4mpg( Smart Gauge59.4mpg) 13.5gal., 788.3miles even with rain and bike on back part of the time. Cleaning my injectors helped a couple mpg it would appear. Paul
  16. Using this info, ICE Block and Oil Pan Heaters make a lot of sense. ICE block will transfer some heat to trans. :) Paul
  17. It seems like mine lasted almost 4.5 years. :) Paul
  18. Mine has update and turns off most everything in five to ten minutes. Definitely annoying, no battery problems though. :) Paul
  19. I would recommend 50psi, I got easily 64K miles on two sets and will do it on a third set. Max psi is 51 cold on the tire and I talked to Michelin and they said that if I was getting even ware at 50psi, that is what they would recommend and I do. :) Someone posted that the tires don't blowup until 200lbs. As far as not having GPS, you can us mile markers on the FWY to check. Distance will vary a little with tread depth. I see 2 to 1.6% difference in distance with my car, all CMAX's should be the same. If you are interested I do get out your way on occasion we might be able to meet, you can PM if you like. :) Paul
  20. I do too, but when it rains quite often I have to go to manual to get the lights on. Fortunately the alarm reminds me to turn them back. :) Paul
  21. at 158k mi. it will be another year before I hit 200K mi. :) Paul
  22. Are you using the info from all Three videos? Check your Odometer with portable GPS, it should be off by 2%, you are getting 2% better MPG's than you think you are and also 2% farther for starters. Are you using Premium and 50psi in the tires? :headscratch: Paul
  23. Just checked and my videos are up to 1700 views now. :) Was hoping to see an improvement on Fuelly.com , even with the rain I have managed 59.6 mpg's, down from 60.8mpg with 600 miles on tank. Could hit 800mi. :) Paul
  24. I agree with you on that, It would be nice if they gave you a list of changes in your area. I think I'm still on #6, but it is free to up date my Garmin. :) Paul
