  1. :( I can't see it -- get to Flicker, but no pix.
  2. Congrats on your new acquisitions. Welcome to the forum, Missy. And you too, Rachel. Oh wait, you were here before i was! :) Hope you and Dad are enjoying the twins/cousins... I haven't gone into other sub-forums yet. Hoping you've posted your initial experiences. Glad it finally came!
  3. Rachel? Rachel? Knock knock. Helloooooooooo. :camera:
  4. Nick, congrats on the new addition. Can't help with the question about programming the charger, but others on this forum (or on the Energi forum) will be able to, I'm sure. Enjoy your playdate tomorrow!
  5. How about some pictures of the happy car buyer in the process of getting her car?
  6. Maybe "program" is the wrong word. IMO, you do have more control with the electric seat controls in the SEL, as opposed to the manual controls in the SE, but the seat doesn't "memorize" a position for a particular driver. (That's what I think of when I hear the word "program"). Among other considerations, the seat height was an important one in my decision to get this car. I'm used to the higher seats like those in my previous SUV, and the height of the CMAX seats make it easy to enter/exit the car.
  7. " I cannot wait for him to drive it. I wouldnt let him drive the tester. I was hogging it." Oh, like you're going to give up your key fob during the first week of ownership? I don't think so. Hubby will just have to be patient, as you are now!
  8. There are finally a few of us running around the area. I'm in Lemon Grove.
  9. It's easy to get up to those high speeds fast, and without much effort.
  10. Rachel, you'll know what it feels like in a couple days!! Enjoy the ride, Mikey. Don't forget to update your profile with the new car!
  11. Rachel loves her C-Max, too; she just hasn't met it yet! it's been like online dating: getting info on it, talking to other people who know its/her relatives, and finally arranging to get together! Excited for your Rachel. How about the Cajun Queenmax?
  12. Doesn't the ice surrounding the body protect the paint job?
  13. It takes another CMaximizer to really understand the obsession we feel, especially as early adopters. It's been very cool to be a part of this beginning group, and to share our "new" experiences. We can taste Rachel's anticipation, as we have all experienced it in some way. Hang in there, Rachel! We're waiting with ya!
  14. Rfgrege, sorry you had such a lousy experience with your dealer. Mine was much more enjoyable. She didn't highlight the mileage, but the car. She sat with me for quite a long time as and explained all the features. She even synced my phone to the car as a test (before I bought). The incentives I saw onine were those I received when I leased. Right now I have a lifetime mpg of 41 (shown on car display): some trips are 36ish, and others are 46ish, and higher, and that's driving a little more than half freeway. Suggest you find another dealer -- there seem to be more C-Maxes available here in CA than in other parts of the country (talk to Rachel! :) Enjoy the hunt!

Pkay, congrats! I hope you like your Stormy as much as I do my SilverMax. Enjoy your "getting to know you" period.
  16. Let's not forget that the fuelly.com stats for the Prius come from over 1800 Prii, over many years, while the C-Max hybrid has less than 100 registering their gas usage, and that's been for less than a year. This isn't a slam against, the Prius, but it's like comparing ripe Apples with green lemons. Also, regarding mileage from ICE alone: I bought a hybrid so that I could use both!
  17. I gave up my Red line 2004 Vue for the new C-Max. It always amazed me that the back seat windows rolled all the way down -- hadn't seen that with other cars. Miss that car, but glad I made the switch.
  18. Would have opted for the 11:00 time, but I have to work Sat. afternoon. But at least traffic should be light, and the drive enjoyable.
  19. The nice thing about Sirius is that you don't have to give them any info until after the 6 month free trial. If you can live without it for a few days, or a little longer (after free period), they'll be sure to come up with a good deal for you.
  20. Kind of like the Seinfeld of forums: a thread about nothing! And here we all are, adding to it.
  21. Getting excited about Saturday. Have to leave SD by 6:00am to make it for my 8:00 appt.

Don't let them mess up your mpg before you even get a chance to get it high (so to speak).

    Hello

Takes time to get use to driving for best mileage. You'll get there! Welcome to the forum.
