I always figure it's good to follow the manufacturer's guidelines: 10K

That sounds like a "normal" driving day for me, minus the 2.2 mi to the gym. :} No problems at this end. Sorry your experience has been so negative. As Salman, asked, please let us know what happens.

Recreational Towing (behind a motor home)

Not happy with the C-Max, or the support? -
With a boat behind it?

Glad to help you with whatever you need.

There's so much to learn, but ain't it great when it works? Congrats!

Gee, Jus, maybe you could stop every two miles or so on your normal route and try to set EV+ at each one. Think how far you could get on EV+ alone! :)

It seems that Ronald Kramer of Portland, ME has only one set posting that he uses here (often), on the C-max Facebook page and at least one auto blog: http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2013/01/carscom-reviews-the-2013-ford-c-max-hybrid.html. He doesn't seem interested in finding a solution, but bashing. Hmmmm, not sure I like that he shares my name.

On tap? I didn't know they served alcohol at Sonic. ;)

I've had 3 EV+ locations. The main factor seems to be how often the car is turned off/on at a given destination. After a certain number of times, it should recognize that location as a frequent destination. As I posted somewhere else, one of the engineers at the Irvine get together said that if you wanted to speed up the recognition of a place as a frequent destination, you can turn the car on, wait a few seconds, off, wait a few seconds, and do this 11 or so times. So this would indicate it's this process, not the time spent in a location, that registers the location as EV+. I don't know if there is any maximum number of locations that it can remember.

Don't forget the little umbrella. That's what makes it a vacation!

I have leased in the past, and have had good luck: ie, no problem turning the car in "as is" with no additional fees. I had my last car for 8 years, and enjoyed having it as a trade in for my C-Max. The reason I leased (3 years), even though overall it may be a little more expensive, was that I was able to afford the payments, which would have been higher if I bought. At the end of the 3 years I can choose to either turn it in for a newer model (say it ain't so!), or I can buy out the loan and keep the car. I'm thinking the latter.

Rachel thanks for translating! :) Mr. Green, I hope you enjoy the wait and expectation, learning all you can about your upcoming purchase. We know you'll love it once it comes!

Is there life outside the C-Max?

Finallly got my partner to take the wheel of my C-Max. He's been a little reluctant for some reason. It wasn't a long drive, but enough for him to comment, "it's like the little hybrid that could!"

No, just Stone or Charcoal. :)

Horn Notification of Door Lock

I mentioned this lack to the engineers at Irvine as a suggestion for an improvement. -
Wab, after Dual zone turns off after 2 minutes, can you turn it back on? If yes, does it stay on?

Who says it can't be done-Post Highs here-over 25 miles traveled

We have stayed there often -- our "staycation" location. Great place! "Patience young grasshoppers... :) " I second that. We're at the forefront of the C-Max experience, and what we find out about our car is "new". We are providing the history for future C-Max drivers to rely on. We don't have the 10 years + of history that the Prius has -- we are creating it! And it's going to take time and patience. And there's nothing to say we can't enjoy it along the time. BTW: just watching "The Taste" on ABC, sponsored (in part) by Ford C-Max, with commercials, and they also use the cars to travel around, highlighting it. Cool! -
Haven't seen any at Hertz, but the last time I went to Hertz (airport) to rent a car, I passed the AVIS lot, and saw a C-Max there.

Glad you got it working, FoutsNC. Sorry for your trouble, but on the positive side, we now know a little more about the fuses and how to access them.

New buyers think carefully about what model you order

I never heard of that feature in all my shopping/research. -
Don't ruin the surprise, Rachel!

Thanks, Plus 3. Thought I had copied the whole line of code, but obviously not. Switched to the smaller banner -- a little diversity!
