Great idea!

Cmax paced the NASCAR Nationwide race in Bristol today

Retired1, congrats! Hope the delivery went easily, and that you enjoyed your first drive home in your new car. -
I think it's time you took Maxine to the beach instead of the snow! Re: MPG's, I really enjoy having several different time ranges: Lifetime was restarted at 1000 mi (figured that was a good starting point for "life"). I reset the MPG number from the Inform mode at 3000 (just reached it), and will probably reset at 5000. Trip 1 is reset at each fillup, to give me an idea of how I'm doing "in the moment". What other car gives you all these options!

I waited until 1000 miles to reset the lifetime readout -- figured the first 1000 were a giveaway. BTW: if you just want to reset the mpg number, go to the Inform display, and then press the OK button. It will reset to zero for all the displays that show it.

A great invention, and you look so cool tooling around steering with one hand!

Would you buy the CMax if the advertised MPG was below 47/47?

Mbedit, is everything going well with the new car? No problems? -
24 hour test drive -- nice opportunity to see how it really performs for you.
-
Curb feelers -- blast from the past, and very practical. How about a steering wheel knob so you can turn corners with one hand? Loved that on our 53 Bel Air.

Jkngale, congratulations on the new car. And with 11000 Km on it, you should be getting pretty good mileage, without a break in period. And one thing about the color: when you're inside and driving, you focus on the interior color, not the exterior. Charcoal, or Stone?

Hey Adair, don't hate those of us who didn't have to wait as long. I had to wait a WHOLE WEEK for the one I wanted to be "traded" to my dealer from another. That week was hell (and anticipatory heaven). :yahoo: Johnn, how did your sister like your new car when you turned up to pick her up for the car show?

Thunderbird, amazing how the C-Max gives off the "wow factor". It offers a lot, no matter what you're looking for: economy, speed, comfort, fun, and (I think) good looks! The seats and the solid feel of the doors helped to seal my deal. -
Congratulations, Cassy. Hope you had a good day of driving!

If it works like it does with OnStar, you give SF permission to access your mileage (odometer) to check how far you've gone in the period since the last check. You give permission by signing up for this discount program. You can either send the mileage manually, at their website, or give them permission to access the info vi OnStar (and Sync?).

Love the Moniker on your license, Dale. You were lucky to get that one!

Hey, Laurel. Glad you had a good (if sweaty) time. We missed you, as Tip did, I'm sure.

Bummer, Cassy. Keep hoping, and maybe sing a chorus of "The Sun'll come out tomorrow"!

Would be happy to fill out an online survey for you, from a California viewpoint.

And another. Enjoy your new addition.

Regarding number of miles traveled in a day: my commute is 9 miles to and 9 miles back. That's pretty much my driving pattern for the week, with a few miles in town. I've not had any problem with my battery dying. BTW: one of the engineers at the Invine gathering told me that people at Ford DO monitor this forum.

Two Maxines on the site -- is that allowed? ;)

My dealer told me that she didn't want me using cruise control for the first 1000. Other than that, "drive gently".

You must have gotten the new GMax.

Came with paint chips and proximity sensor of another color
roninsd replied to nemonik's topic in General Discussion
Nemonik, I'm with Mtb. I'm surprised that they sold it to you with these blemishes. I would think they would want to fix these things. Check with your dealer. -
Jelly Bean and Jerry Bean?

Someone posted awhile ago (couldn't find it) about not being able to turn on the front and rear ceiling lights at the same time, as he (she?) could in a previous car. Lo and behold, I just realized tonight that the button on the right hand side of the ambient light control does just this; one push, lights on; another push, lights slowly diminish to off! Coming upon previously unknown abilities is like finding a quarter in the seat cushions!
