Congratulations on the new purchase, Noah. I know how you feel! I also bought mine at Drew. (As soon as you mentioned the Model A I figured you had gone there -- them saw the license plate frame). Enjoy it!

I was just looking on google, and saw a hybrid rental co. called Simply Hybrid Rent a Car System (simplyhybrid.com). They are in LA, on Wilshire near Fairfax. They list the C-Max as one of their cars. I know nothing about them, but not too far from Whittier. Worth a call, maybe.

Zhack, another Leofile? -
The model/trim I wanted wasn't on the lot, but it only took a week to get one there after my salesperson started looking around. We're the lucky ones.

SOMD, enjoy the anticipation, and get as much info from this forum as you can. It's kind of like a Lamaze class.

On the positive side, Laurel, you are unique in all of Canada.

Like I said, Jus, I was talking about intersections where, in the old days in CA, you could not make a U-Turn Unless it was posted as OK, but now, in those same intersections, you can make a U-Turn, unless prohibited. And stinking thongs are just wrong!

Hey Jus, I was just following the info in the CA driver's handbook (pg. 38), thinking mainly of intersections: "You may make a legal U-Turn: Across a double yellow line, when it is safe and legal. In a residential district: if there are no vehicles approaching you within 200 feet. whenever a traffic sign, light, or signal protects you from approaching vehicles. At an intersection on a green light or green arrow, unless a "no U-Turn" sign is posted...." Jest sayin' :yahoo: BTW: Just jumped a whole .2 mpg this fillup. I'm catching up!

Pretty, Jus. Hope your trip went well.

MFT Climate control settings versus Manual Controls

Just realized I had that cover on this week, and took it off, too. -
I got a 3 year subscription when I leased the car (part of the package). Don't know if I'd feel the need to pay the subscription fee after it ends.

In California, it used to be that you could not make a U-turn unless there was a sign saying you could; now it's the opposite: if there's no sign preventing it, you can do a Uey.

I THINK this is what causes the clicking (even though it sounds to me as if it's coming from the front): [pg 187 in manual:] What are the series of clicks from the cargo area when I first turn the key in the ignition? The high voltage battery is electrically isolated from the rest of the vehicle when the key is off. When the key is turned to on, high voltage contactors inside the battery are closed to make the electricity available to the motor/generator and enable the vehicle to drive. The clicks are the sound of these contactors as they close and open during start up and shut down.

Thanks for taking care of this.

Saw a Candy Blue as I was leaving my doctor's office yesterday. Definitely drew my eye!

Madman, if you look around you may be able to find the model/color you want at a dealership. There are more and more of them on the lots! But until you get yours, feel free to "ride along" in the forum!

HotPotato, nice design! Clean and readable.

But yours was more creative!

I've had great luck with my dealer here in San Diego: Drew Ford. Pleasant sales experience and professional and friendly service staff. When I first got my Cmax, the salesperson took me over to the service dept. to meet the service manager I would be working with when I needed anything (my OWN SM -- what a deal!).

Annoyed +1.

Glad you, hubby and the car are all ok, Rachel. (Jus would have gone out in the storm to find a good tail wind to up his mpg!)

A good laugh, especially when old Spock gives young Spock the Vulcan Nerve Pinch!
