Same story here except the battery was good. Close to 9K miles on the car now. Also noticed that it did some kind of an update. The MFT displayed this (I purchase this option). I think it might not have loaded correctly? I am assuming that the update was downloaded through my phone? This was noticed before I took it to the dealer. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this issue at this same time? Mine happened Saturday night/Sunday morning. This all started when I went to my car on Sunday morning I did notice now that the climate control is different for Auto mode. Seems to blow air out the dash vents more now. Before I think it was more on the floor. There was a pretty good current draw before I took it to the dealer and I did notice a pump running until the battery quit. Seems good now. We will see what happens.

Just had this happen to mine. Dealer performed this procedure. Drove to breakfast Sunday. Dead battery when we came out. Hope it fixes it. I now have a jump pack in the car at all times. I noticed a pump running all the time near the radiator. Dealer said this can be normal if the battery is low. We will see if this takes care of the issue.

Looked for a video last night on YouTube. There are a lot but I could not find any that focused on adding custom programming. Some talked about it being an option but none showed how to do it. One did talk about it being a simple copy and paste but again did not show the process. Any suggestion on a website or video that shows the process? Thx

A lot of people like to have a unique car that everybody else does not have. I guess this makes you very unique in your area. :) More will come.

Thx for the replies. I will look at YouTube and I also want to check out the other apps that Plus 3 Golfer listed. Just bought a wireless charging system for my Note 3. I would love to somehow mount that in the car for charging while I drive. I think I would more likely to use the phone with Torque more often if I knew it was not draining my battery when I used it. Also glad to see that we can monitor the actual tire pressure. I thought the sensors were just a go/no go switch. My Chevy truck shows the pressure and I do like that. Thx again

This is awesome. What is a good video or instructions to look at to learn how to set up custom information? I have Torque but I have not done any custom programming.

Might find something in here http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/3284-aftermarket-backup-camera/?hl=%2Bback+%2Bcamera&do=findComment&comment=38577

OMG, I can't believe that. It is obvious that she should be driving a Prius. ;)

Buy New 2014 SE or low mileage 2013 SEL
scottwood2 replied to jkumpire's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
I hear the statement a lot that the batteries will need to be replace and that is expensive. That statement maybe true to some point but I think it is the new technology that gets people worried. I don't hear that about engines or transmissions which also wear out. I just heard recently that transmission can be $7000 now to get them replaced. I am sure a new or rebuilt engine is costly too. Everything wears out. I hear from some say to buy a truck with 4 wheel drive because you get your money back when you sell. That might be true if you don't have to service it but the same people say they would not buy a hybrid because it takes too long to get your money back. They assume the resale is zero for the battery pack. I guess it all depends on how you look at it. -
Buy New 2014 SE or low mileage 2013 SEL

MFT = My Ford Touch. That is the 8" screen. I agree that I would not purchase the C-Max without MFT. I like it a lot and I think it looks so much more high end than the standard display. -
Oops, I just noticed that I misread that. I thought you said "doesn't seem to help". Sorry about that.

Post Your Life Time MPG's, Total Mi., EV mi., Regen mi. and Brake Score
scottwood2 replied to ptjones's topic in Fuel Mileage
I bottomed out at 43.3 for lifetime (from Sept 2014). I was above 50 before winter. Now I am back to 43.7 already and climbing. :) -
I did not find this when I researched the issue. I ended up purchasing a 2014 SE with the MFT (202A) partly because of this battery issue. There is not a lot of data on this breakdown of models/year, at least that I found. This poll here states it could make a difference. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1294-for-those-who-have-had-12v-battery-problems/?mode=show I kind of decided that the 2014 had more time to work out the bugs so I decided to go with that. It has been great so far.

Thx, I am very happy with the look.

Nice work. Thx for sharing. Maybe Ford will learn from your findings.
-
No but I see you posted that you have no power to that side. If you took a test light or volt meter to the contact and you have no power then you have ruled out the bulb and ground. At least until you get power to that side again. Do the tail lights work because that should use the same ground. Also the side marker and tail lights are generally the same power source. The brake light power is another circuit.

Thx for the update. The wheels seem to give it more of a Euro look to me which I think is cool.
-
Nice, first time I have seen larger wheels on a C-Max Gives it a really different look. Yes, let us know how the FE is. What tires are on there?
-
That is a good idea. Might lower FE a little but I like this better than having a tire inside the car. Could combine this idea with more outside storage as well like someone else has posted here.

C-max VS Hot water heater
scottwood2 replied to Marc Smith's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
I love the hatchback design of the C-Max. When I saw the title of the post, I first thought "did someone come up with a way to use home hot water to preheat the C-Max?" ;) -
Exactly the same for me. I was seeing low 30's even on the coldest days. Now in the 40's 50's and 60's (MPG) 62 MPG coming home from Costco. 65 mile highway trip yesterday was about 47 MPG.

Window Tint - All Windows
scottwood2 replied to Edgeskeez's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
Michigan does have similar laws and that is one reason I did not have it done yet. There are many people here with tints that have never had a problem. Many shops say they will remove it if there is an issue. -
Before my purchase I test drove about 6 C-Max's from different dealers. The dealer I purchased my car from had no problem with giving me a car to use for 24 hours. It was a sales person's car with about 4000 miles on it but it was fine for what I wanted. It was the first dealer I asked to get a car overnight but it was not a problem other than they would not do Fridays. They were open on Saturday but something with their insurance about the weekend. I think it was more of a concern that someone would not come back to the dealer by noon on Saturday when they closed. Can't hurt to ask.
