I'm not saying it is perfectly clean, but certainly better than without gaspods. I feel the air flow is much cleaner now coming off my rear bumper.

jus I'm working on it, my current tank following my 602 mile tank I'm making sure I do everything right. I have 120 miles on the tank and just moving off the full mark. And so far I've used a little more than 2 gallons giving me a good start on a 700 mile tank if I keep this up

Excuse me! no need to get bent out of shape, I'd just rather a link -
Today I dropped by my dealer to show them the headliner problem I have with the liner coming out from behind the wide black rubber gasket which seals the liftgate when the hatch is closed. They took pictures to present it to Ford to see if a full headliner replacement can be done under warranty. But this is not the topic of my thread, I'm getting off track. When I was driving through the service area to leave the dealership I saw a Platinum White Energi sitting next to one of the service bays. It looked like a standard 2013 CMax in every detail except for one thing and I wish I had thought to take a picture because I'll never be able to describe it well enough. On the front stock alloy wheels there was a clear plastic looking cover over the entire wheel with small vent holes running around the radius. Sort of a clear aero cover it appeared. I wondered if this might be some sort of retrofit Ford is playing with to smooth the air flow over the stock alloy wheels? Could this be a 2014 model CMax and option? Not sure I'd want it on my car since it looked bit cheesy and cheap. Possibly Frontier Ford has already received a 2014 since it was on September 20th 2012 that my CMax was delivered and I bought it right off the truck the same day. Anyway just wanted to report what I saw. I think I'll go by again tomorrow to see if that car is still there and if so I'll take some pics.

'it amazes me that an electric device can be used at in such a volatile environment and not explode. I'll never understand why the fuel pump ever was moved inside the gas tank?

Don't forget me in the 600+ club?

Great news will be interested to hear from you after you have had a chance to work with them. My experimentation showed the best positioning is on the rear spoiler. With all 9 Pods across the full width of the spoiler.

Not sure if you will hear from her directly. She doesn't regularly monitor the forum I think. I haven't heard from her in awhile. I have a set of nine gaspods I'm not using. They are black and mount using a super sticky adhesive. I'd be happy to forward them to you if you like? LMK.

I'm really bugged about my pictures disappearing after they have posted. The third one was showing now it is gone.

sorry for the photo problems, I'm still sorting out this process of attaching photo's to my threads using Photo Bucket. They are either too big or too small. These are all resized to 320 x 240

Did I hear correctly that the Fusion Owners are not getting this refund?

Our first long trip with the update was a disappointment!

After I got my upgrade, it took a few tanks to sort things out. But now it appears that my biggest improvement has come with driving in town on level roads while driving in the speed range of 25-40mph. I haven't noticed much of an improvement at 60-55mph. I've never sustained speeds above 65 since there is no place locally to drive at 70mph legally. Interstate-5 is the closet place I can do 70 legally, but it is about an hour to my east. -
600+ done deal. :happy feet: :drop: Drove around for the last 20 miles in a big loop around my neighborhood since it is pretty much flat at about 300 ft above sea level, all while packing the 2 gallon gas can in the back seat. Was almost surreal those last 20 miles with how quiet the Max ran. I shut off everything including A/C and the radio which might rob me of reaching the 600 mile mark. I got a little unnerved after I reached the point where the screen continuously read 0 miles to empty. From then I just kept monitoring the trip 1 screen to see what my gallons consumed was. Once I got to 12 gallons I knew I was close to having nothing left or so I thought. As the photo indicates I ran through 12.58 gallons and never ran out of power to the ICE. But because I had reached the 602 mark I pulled into the gas station for refill. Now I start working on the next goal I'm setting for 650miles, if I can do that I should be able to reach 700miles. After I hit 585miles I concentrated on making sure I did everything perfect to try and always score a 100% on braking. This helped me to keep my battery level at least at 50% in case I ran out of gas power. At one point around 593 miles it seemed I had no control over the batterys falling below 60%, but suddenly they were back up around 70% and I breathed easier.

I rarely use trip 2 unless I need to watch a second distance sort of like a stopwatch can give you a split time. I accidentally reset trip 2 so lost my Legacy info.

CMax-Traveler I'm so sorry about your mistake, to be so close to such an achievement milestone and not have your photographic proof...sickening. I bet you said "OH Shoot" or a much more graphic form of colorful metaphor when it happen? :drop: I salute your efforts anyway and hope that our trusty moderators will cut you some slack and still allow you to be recognized for what it is. I know how careful I have had to drive to get where I am with a possible 600+. I'm not sure I'm up for trying for a 700+. Actually I'm not sure Maxus has it in her? We'll see if the challenge can be met?

Our check came today in a FedEx mailer, was left on my doorstep which is good because if they stuck it through the mail slot in the front door, my dog would have shredded it. Now what to buy with this new treasure. Logic tells me it should be applied to my car payment...NOT!

Today I saw 6 CMax here in the sillycorn valley, they are becoming almost as common as the Tesla S built just north of me.

Well that is a weird thing, at one point today I checked the miles to empty and it read 100, then the next time I checked after about 10 minutes it had changed to 92, then 82, then 60 something the last time I checked before home.

I can almost touch 600 miles, maybe tomorrow will click over the big numbers? 545.5 miles on the tank/325.5 EV with 11.44 gal used

Racked up over 500 miles during my morning commute, we'll see what happens on the drive this evening? The yellow warning light came on for awhile but went out. Screen says just over 10 gallons used so getting down to the bottom. Can I squeeze out another 90 or so miles? The tension is killing me. I'm trying so hard to make sure my starts and stops are perfect and stay below 2 bars when ICE is running. This is almost as exciting as waiting to get the latest update from Jus on his legendary 800mile tank. Boy does that seem like an impossible dream right now. But this hypermiling is intoxicating to try and raise the bar just one more notch.

Me too, until there a significant body style change I'll be happy with what I have. Then there will be nothing but the wife disallowing it to stop me.
