Here are the screenshots after my trip to San Fran yesterday including a trip across the new Oakland side span of the Oakland Bay Bridge. Really nice bridge we CA. taxpayers paid for I might add. If I'm going to make 600+ on this tank? It will be on the last fumes of gas since I've still got 138.9 miles to cover in the last 1/4 tank of gas. Should be interesting. It amazes me that I drove 59.4 miles on 1.1 gallons...I love technology

Well I think except for the die-hard hypermilers a vast number of owners just want to enjoy their CMax for what it is and not bust their butt trying to eck! out higher numbers just for the recognition and saying they did it. Bragging rights aren't important to these folks, it is what it is. I know until I started reading threads from Jus-A-CMax and other big hypermilers that it wasn't a big focus for me. But now I just want to get into the 600+ club and my present tank of gas is my best change of doing that. I've been a 500+ owner many times over. Time to move up although I don't think I will ever grace the halls of the 700 or 800mile range, just too much work to achieve. I'm giving it all I've got to just make 600+

Apparently when you bought your CMax has nothing to do with it. I bought mine on September 20th, which is one year ago TODAY! no check yet. SHOW ME THE MONEY! I was one of if not the first in the south bay to buy a CMax. Mine was driven off the car carrier within hours the same day I bought it. Fresh from Michigan.

Gonna try to finish this tank off today with a drive up to San Fran since I have the day off. Two driving options both with fairly level driving conditions. One is surface streets all the way up the peninsula from the south bay a long and stop light filled trip 60+ miles. Or take freeway 101 along the SF Bay which is fairly level at sea level :shift:

Now my next question is...how does one safely secure this two gallon gas can until needed? Certainly don't want it to be thrown round the cargo area and don't want any gas fumes inside the car. Thought about trying to find a place under the hood to secure it with bungee's or something. But it not like there is a ton of extra room anywhere under the hood. Plus any heat might not be a good idea with gas.

Thanks for the Math lesson SnitGTS makes me a little more at ease to push 0. This current tank has really been a eye opener into how much improvement can be gained by just improving on my braking and starting and minimizing ICE as much as I can. To date my best tank has been 570 miles, time to make it 600+ as Captain Jean Luc Picard would say..."Make it So"

Here are my last screenshots for today, getting closer to 400 miles and still have more than a 1/4 tank left. But I'm concerned because the computer is telling me I've 248 miles to E and if you subtract my present miles of 350.4 from 600.0 that equals 249.6. Slightly more than I've got showing showing to E :shift:

Question for those of you which have pushed to the edge of the envelope. AKA when you run out of gas. What happens? What should I prepare myself for? I've not done this before and I want that 600 mile mark. I've gone down to 1 mile before E but never all the way to zero. Just curious

OS7 works fine on my IP5 and pairs with my MFT, love it and all the new alert sounds and ringtones

what happened to the $800 reported for new owners? I thought the $500 was for leased owners? Did I miss something? I read on the net that the amount was going to be $800 for new owners.
