I think I've found the route to consistently keeping my AvgMPG in the 40 range. Managed to drive all over town the last 4 days and not fall below 43.3 AvgMPG, and that is a big change for Maxus. I owe it all to keeping a mindful watch on my driving and braking, especially the braking, but there's still plenty of room for improvement since my brake scores are very up and down in the high 80's and low 90's. Love those GasPods, they are making a big difference and the new software is really helping as well. Guess I sized these too small? The first one is 83mpg, the second is 59.5mpg and the third 63.1mpg

My dealer refuses to install MFT 3.51 or 3.62 updates

Stephen sounds like a weird dealership, never heard of such a thing. But I can understand from their perspective if it doesn't show on the records then they can't get paid for the work through the factory unless you pay for it. ;) -
I love those close encounters of the CMax kind, thanks for sharing the moment.

I'm sorry for your loss but welcome as a new owner of this great little car.

C-Maxgo, I created an account and loaded some pics. How do I get these into a post on the forum. Or link to them in my photobucket account? Thanks

Why does either of these work better than just using the upload feature when I start a new thread or reply to an another owners thread. This always worked in the past but now I get a error message saying I can't upload a file with that extension which is a jpg file and worked fine before. Just very confusing to me why it used to work and now I can't?

Well guess I'm screwed then? I had the software update done last week but only gave them the key fob that I use. My wife's key fob wasn't done. But it seems to work ok since she has used it and all seems fine so far. But good that you pointed this out.

Ok I can't post any pictures to my posts anymore like I used to as attached files. Jus tried to explain a process I guess allot of you are using, but it didn't sink in with me. What is the preferred method for pictures to posts. I'm getting errors that say this upload failed. Sorry to throw this out. Thanks

Way to go Rachel, glad you had a great trip.

Was sure great to be doing 65 on local freeway today running full EV, no more snotty looks from drivers who didn't like me doing 62mph for the last 11months. Next month on the 20th is Maxus 1st birthday :clapping:

Another problem. Don't buy a CMax: Broken hatch latch

I'm happy for you if you can afford a Tesla? They build them right down the road from me here. But too expensive for my taste.. Got no complaints with my CMax -
This was the problem my dealer was having when I got the 3.5.1 upgrade. I told them it wasn't going to work for them until they dropped a CAT 5 line out to the service bay. Can't do it with WiFi since the signal strength can vary and cause the download to fail

Same on an SEL. Just got the 13B07 update yesterday

Does anybody else get really annoyed when you are trying to voice command something to the system and it doesn't understand you and goes into that long dissertation that you can always connect with www.syncmyride and on and on when all you want to do it shut her up and get on with your input? Drives me bonkers and I want to shoot the MFT rather than listen to that long message. But I did find that if I push the right paddle again it will stop and restart the voice interface. Praise GOD!

I've just decided to start referring to my CMax as Maxus

Since you bought it in May and you currently get that kind of mpg. I think I would wait until you get a letter from Ford asking you to bring it in for the upgrades. My letter came the same day I I took it in. I was in a hurry to get the upgrade so I made an appointment on my own. What is your build date? I'm wondering if you might already have it if it was a late build? I've never been able to maintain numbers in the 50's. Only until lately with much effort on my driving style and placement of GasPods on the roof line for better aerodynamics. I'm able to stay in the lower to mid 40's. Before I was always slipping into the high 30's. So far after the update I'm seeing good results, but I really haven't had a chance to drive much, been less than 24 hours since it was installed.
-
You should GaryM, mine came Thursday but that was the day I took it in.
-
I'm sure thinking so. In my case GasPods were worth every penny.

Well got the upgrade installed today and I must say I notice a difference even with the short time I was able to drive at 65mph. I took a picture when I got home from the dealer but I'm not able to upload any pictures right now, keep getting an error message. I was very blown away by the AvMPG number. I know it was a short trip and maybe that is why it was such a great number? But this is the highest number I've ever recorded with normal driving without resetting the fuel history. Quite pleased so far with the results of the upgrade. I recorded a 83.7AvMPG :happy feet:

Not quite there Jus but have managed to pull out a 44.5 AvMPG solidly for the last two days driving around town. Something seems to have changed because my numbers are more predictable with this tank. I feel it is because of the placement of my GasPods. They are working and making a difference thanks to Susanne.
