  1. If you're gonna quote them, give them their street creds.By the way, I did get 33MPG, I GUNNED like like the clappers on my last tank. And I still pulled up at the Costco gas tank yesterday with 700+ miles on that tank. It was a :airquote: wasted tank, since I took it to Galpin so they ran my MPG down anyway. Time to smoke some more of that stuff....*puff*...when is my CR check coming..cough...*puff*....again :headspin: Sorry to thread jack..so back to the topic...GO HANNAHWCU!!!!! <---he's banned from the Toaster Review company as well. Infact, everyone in the 600+ CMax NEED NOT apply. Sad. ;)
  2. Yeah...you can do it. Bring the spare can, focus more on EV and don't be tempted to gun the CMax. Every squirt of ICE counts so MINIMIZE. If you topped off as much as possible, then you will use that bonus gas at this key time. You can, in most cases, get 25 miles when MTE zero hits and it's also based on your past histogram.
  3. Simplify my friend, simplify. The only cure for the over the top is to ease that upper body tension and the conscious need to crush the ball. You may have seen it all - but if I had to cure this myself, I always go back to this one... Why? Because Paul is right and if we back off the tension on the upper body and just turn, the over the top is gone. What I learnt is ease up, relaxed and just turn. Keep at it. I jus enjoy the game too much and am building my game back to the low cap that I once was but the back (after the accident) is never the same. Infact, I am now working on a more vertical swing to alleviate the strain and Don Trahan may be my ticket. There are core commonalities between all great swings and one of them is the turn and we forget that. I was smoking my SLDR TS 3 wood today....it felt great and I cant wait to play this weekend. Have to look forward to something....like drinking beer with your golf buddies and smoking the driver out there.
  4. wnuk - youtube is your friend. So many things can go wrong with the swing so its hard to diagnose and nor do I want to spend $55 for someone to tell me what I did wrong either - I mean not with the cameras in our phones etc. Go check out Zach Allen, Paul Wilson or Don Trahan and back off the tension in the arms. Good luck friend - been there, done that. My worst shot is a hook now or the straight push but this SLDR with the Elements Chrome is a BLESSING since it really cuts down the side spin to where you are on the fairway rough edge and not over....
  5. Good time to start again Brother Mike - there are some real NICE, easy to hit clubs out at the moment :)
  6. ...jus stick it in eco-cruise and BLIP that pedal. Easy peasy.
  7. @Wnuk - nah, no problem starting but I didn't run out (twice) as much as some other guys here. No need, I get my MPGs jus doing everyday driving. Best drive to work 91, avg 83, bad drive 79 and finish the day 65 excellent, 63 average, 61 one too many sprints and I do anywhere between 42 miles to 68 miles a day with those numbers. It is what it is... :)
  8. So, CMax golfers....worried about people breaking into your car and stealing your clubs? ....That SHINY NEW Tour SLDR head with the Aldilla black Rogue shaft? No problem...stash your clubs here: Right underneath the back passenger seat is a secret slot. It's big enough to fit: 4 irons 1 driver with head cover 1 3 wood with head cover. Now, as long as you don't carry a 300lb buddy in your back seat, it's as good as gold. Enjoy :)
  9. The art is not to run out of gas, I've only ran out of gas twice (once for a 700 and once for an 800) and had many 800s since then. Go HannahWCU!!!! ..but, and there is always a BUT, carry a spare jus in case ;) . You'll be sweating it in the high 700s and early 800s. Pop that cherry
  10. I have taken a job as Consumer ReportToaster Reviwer so I need to tow the Eastern Collectivist doctrine that what you say IS NOT POSSIBLE, 37MPG is it. .wait. .thats better...sorry, I had to let the smoke clear...*cough*....ah....nothing like free smoke from the government..... ...As I was saying, yeah, I need to tow the Party Line, for the people and not the capitalist.....*smoke is good......oh yeah.....when is my paycheck coming again, Toaster Review Company?!?!?
  11. Telling me...I now live in the land of the liter and gallons...but I get use to it. In my faveroute sports, I am totally converted to yards. Metres, whats that? Oh, think in yard numbers and add 1 club. I :airquote: see said the Blind Man.... :)
  12. :clapping: Grill covers, eco-cruise long distances, ac for 100+ heat...u CMaxer drivers are whimps :drop: :victory: & :flyaway:
  13. tsk, tsk, tsk....you must be showing your age to remember the imperial gallon, stones. However, even NASA has modernised to use metric, except when they decide to launch a probe to March and the Engineer who designed it had one to many Australian Fosters at lunch..KA-BOOM ;) (or it was shot down by an orbiting Alien probe but they won't admit it :ninja: ) No, Aus is metric. Also, litre in the proper word in common English - except here in America where the e and r are switched...
  14. Great input Tree63, fellow golfer I see as well :) &
  15. You all want to keep the battery SOC high, eco-cruise tends to drain the batts when it thinks it has too much so....a quick tap of the accelerator will put the car back into ICE mode where it will siphon or continue to build the high SOC, all while your Instant MPG should dance around 40 to 45, or more if there is a slight incline.... This was so much better before 13b07 thanks to the EV limit. Ah, get one thing and lose another....*sigh*
  16. ... I would have taken some beers instead ;)
  17. My wife :love_shower: the lotus. Not for me if I can't fit the clubs in there...congratz on the :airquote: upgrade. Also, anyone can hoon, but rarely can you get someone to think and execute runs that are MPG friendly :victory: - that is harder to do
  18. Done & :congrats: welcome to the Club :)
  19. Its overdue for an update post 13b07....I just have to find the time.
  20. r u positively sure? its not too late to go get a 2014 Prii, smaller tank, artificial synthetic, bland interior and :airquote: concensus-hands-up acceleration (but as we are shown in another thread, it does slalom and brake well) and a better mpg...plus thrown in a few recalls as well is to be expected but thats nothing new or to be worried about ala acceleration.... :baby: ;) (jus advocating for Nicholas whos not here to do it himself :gold_star: )
  21. ...what have I been saying all along, about route selection, less traffic ;)
  22. :camera: Go HannahWCU!!!
  23. I regret it, I should have brought a Prii. I wonder if Nick will find this post? He earns 5 likes if he does...
  24. Well...this is a CMax forum. Whatever we say here, its nothing compared to the hate at other Prii sites. At least we give the Prii a fair shake, imho.
