  1. I've done that, I drove from the top of Rocky Peak to Stearn (about 10 miles or thereabouts) and then realised my hill assist was still on and my battery full. Its a smart hill assist and knows when to kick in ICE or use the regen. I have another hill here near my home that I use to regen as soon as I leave the house. You can feel the car slow down on the steep but also the release on the flat - all while the hill assist is on. Pretty smart of Ford. Also, imo, the regen is faster with hill assist and unlike brakes, it does not throw on the brake lights...either way is good as long as you know what you are doing. Your experience will differ ;)
  2. May be thats why its going MFT psycho on us as <insert Monty Python> "revenge"... :hysterical:
  3. Thats the least used feature of my SEL...I used it once! Sorry to hear about it and thanks for sharing, as financially painful as its going to be. Worthy lesson there for sure.
  4. :worship: Thats freaking ridiculous. My numbers are around 1/3 EV at the moment. Good stuff Valk :worship:
  5. Good stuff Roggie...enjoy the excitement and driving it, its well worth the wait. Come summer, it should be full steam on the MPGs (I still see snow in the background there). PS Did you actually wait for that delivery truck there....mate, thats dedication and in the cold as well
  6. Mate long story, lets not go there :runaway: Fixored my avatar.
  7. Making a tinsy-winsy dent but as you know, this is Prii city here in SoCal and at this time, I think we're more an aberration. I guess it fat chance he's a fordcmaxhybridforum.com poster huh? I would luv to see someone spot a CMax, post a pic of it and a poster lay claim on it....
  8. You know that song....Don't worry, be happy.....dude,thats you  Yeah, be interesting to see where that lawsuit goes. The trending here in this forum is that the owners in the colder north are getting less than 40MPGs and their cars are still new. Those of us in the south west/east such as myself where we had a glorious 75F temps today are getting around the 47MPGs especially with the broken in engine. But watch, come spring & summer, those same cars will be pushing 40+MPGs.
  9. Thanks Ron! it suits me, always on the go with the Max. So the story this evening was that I was suppose to cook some chicken schitnzel and I had everything prepped and about to do the chicken - no egg. :runaway: Had no choice but to do a lil run down to Vallarta to get some egg with my tank was showing yellow as it is now, 62 miles to go (512 on this tank as it is). I wanted to run the batteries high so I ended at the market with 36MPGs. Burnt more gas than I thought. Crap. Then I found a new, slightly longer way to utilize a long downhill run and came back with a 76MPG....and I live in the hills, so the last mile cost me some gas. Had to do a double take but as it was a TRIP reading, I had no camera in hand. Oh well...that was the "egg run" ;) PS I am dreading to tank up tomorrow, prices have gone way up and it's Friday...gonna get hit for sure. Also not sure if I'll push the 600 again on this tank, be touch and go but definitely over 550 miles for sure :happy feet:. PS Adair...you can look forward to these ridiculous MPGs with the warmer weather and a broken in engine. Yep!
  10. Jelly Bean will be doing this pretty soon... ;)
  11. :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: woohoo :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:  & :)
  12. No battery issues. 6300+ miles since 1st week of December. October 2012 build. Only mechanical issues at all but I am having is software related, the GPS inaccuracy and MFT very unstable.
  13. Way to go Adair....now where's the pic? That would be priceless
  14. Could be. If we are to believe the location, rmalzo is at my neck of the woods and if we are to take this poster for the word, I would find it not credible given the temperatures we have had and the described driving conditions and the supposed mileage. I dunno, sounds suss imo. I am surprise that poster never took it to the dealer to have the car checked out, hell, if its that low and its warm, I'll be all over the Ford service dept.
  15. Welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about your issues and trust me when I say, you are not the only one. Look in the Infotainment section, theres a bunch of documented issues and complaints about the My Ford Touch (MFT) but the latest word is that the patch is due in the 1st Quarter of this year. In the meantime, all you can do is to reset the MFT using the Master Reset and then rehook your BT phone. Its a pain, I know, I have to do this. Whats going on with the check engine light, did they say? There is check engine thread in the Engine section of this forum that may be worth checking out. Anyway, theres a lot of information here about the CMax and how to drive it to maximize it. Hopefully you'll find a dealer nearby that will listen, fix and explain the issues to you.
  16. ;) fixored. There is nothing worse than Millenium, Vista was liveable like MFT. Hopefully the next MFT update will equivalent to Win7 - STABILITY. Fingers crossed.
  17. You're lucky, I need the nav as part of my job. I hope the next update will fix my issues, particularly the stability otherwise, its back to the android googlemap and possibly a higher amp charger.
  18. Oops, me bad. I was referring to the Maximus. Mind you, there are 2 47s in there 2 which is pretty darn good. http://www.fuelly.com/car/ford/c-max/2013/hybrid%20l4
  19. :redcard: i knew I was in trouble when my username is part of the thread subject....sssshhhhsssssssh. I'll give the MFT navigation entry is "easy to enter" but the downfall of this review and the other reviews is that the reviewers really do not spend much quality time with the car as much as we all do. I probably spend more time in this car than I do with my wife...so I better shaddap before I feel a smack at the back of my head. Ouch. Thanks for the links Laurel and the laughs :)
  20. Best practice is to set the flow rate on the "low" flow latch and don't top up. Doesn't pump as fast but like hybrid driving, you trade time for something else. You're good to go :)
  21. Ping! I knew that was coming, it could not be any worse than now. Oh no crash today after that reset last night, lets see how long this will last. GPS is in the mud again. PS I think we're all on the testing platform, 1st Gen hybrid CMax, lots of issues for sure. You know what they say about never, ever buying a first gen car...and that went out the window with the cassette player :sos:
  22. That 55 is Maximus, he's a poster here...that is a sensational mpg, a lot of city though. Just proves what this car is capable of. http://www.fuelly.com/driver/cmaximus/cmax Way to go Maximus :)
  23. Well you have a very pretty and full Jelly Bean today :) &
