Kelly, I happened to be in traffic court one day many years ago... A speeder was trying to argue that the cope singled him out of the group of other speeders. Judge- Sir, have you ever been fishing? Speeder- Yes sir, of course. Judge- Did you ever catch ALL the Fish? Speeder- Of course not your honor... Judge- My point exactly sir.. Been triple digits in several vehicles and motorcycles A few cases it was legal and on a track. in other cases no so much. It is pretty amazing how quick the line dividing stripes go by when you get north of 120...

my fuse was fine as well... It will be interesting to see if it happens again..

Zath. we'll see if it comes back... but its fuse 79... under the glvoe box. I was ready to make an appointment with the dealer and take it on monday (holiday for me) But I abhor having to take a vehicle in for service. I'd much rather do my own work on the car when possible... so the time spent pulling the fuse was well worth it...to me...

Well Kinda. Car has been working fine. I have been BT streaming pandora with my i phone, playing music through an ipod classic and listening to radio and using voice commands yesterday got in the car and audio was off, but i was able to stream BT, play ipod. No FM, No BT phone calls and no voice commands. i was not able to control the volume from the touch screen or the steering wheel. but the touch screen still worked for climate and such. from this picture you can clearly see that the rigth side of the dash shows music playing, but the area next to the speedo shows audio off. so I turn the car off and back on. no effect. So I checked the manual no real help, but it did ID the proper fuse. so I pulled the fuse wait 60 second and reninstall. Works fine. I guess it needed a "cold" reboot Still confusing as to why the system "crashed" but still worked in limited function. I guess thats what we get with microsoft... :)

nice thing about the prius.. you can drive it like a jackass and still get nearly 50 mpg... not sue about the gripe with prius drivers....There are plenty of other drivers camping out in the left lane oblivious to the world around them... Plus 3, the speed limit is never irrelevant. police are more likely to ticket people for speed, rather than left lane camping. speeding is a quantitative measurement while left lane camping and more subjective. IE if the person shows up for court, its more likely to get tossed. http://www.mit.edu/~jfc/right.html I'm am not in favor of left lane camping. and folks cite that people who camp out in the left lane incite road rage. the same could be said for the folks who want to travel at speeds (+10) in excess of the speed limit and tailgate every drive on the road. Its the agressive driver that is getting angry at the passive driver... Speed doesn't kill or cause accidents, speed differential does. if I'm doing 60 in the left lane, passing a cars in the right doing 55 (speed limit), and a guy comes up behind me at 70 and starts popping his highbeams... That's the surest way to get me to start slowing down. and yes when possible I will drive in the left lane when other cars around in the right lane. Why... i want to see as much of the road in front of me as possible. and the left lane is usually smoother. I will come back tot he right when i notice drivers coming up behind me. but generally i'm doing speedlimit or +5 so i'm usually in the right lane watching the world go by makes for a much more enjoyable drive.

is just a decal, Ie vinyl or one of the plastic thick things. if its a one of the plastic logo's thats been stick on with foam tape. get some fishing line or dental floss and work that under the edge of logo and then saw back and forth while pulling through the foam tape. once the logo comes off you'll need mineral spirit or goof off to remove the leftover residue. using a plastic scraper or old credit card to help with this.

Sorry to hear Kurt... Personally at this point in time I'd call the insurance company explain your dissatisfaction with the current body shop and insist that the vehicle be seen by a qualiford ford technician at this point in time to figure out the missing pieces. Since now you are also dealing with the potential for a new car warranty exclusions... There is also a ford rep here on the site... Rachel screen name fordservice They might be able to better assist.

got it back. it was fixed. I guess there is a plug up in the seat cushion that came loose while they were reassembling..

the seat heater was working fine prior too. I have a bad back and I love the relaxing warmth. and yes the heaters are warm. As I mentioned, according aldata the seat heating elements and the foam cushions are throwaway items when the seats are dissamebled... Makes me wonder if the new seat frames are being sent with new cushions and heating elements or if they are trying to reuse them to save a few bucks... No worries tricia. I spoke with the dealership this afternoon. they are arranging a loaner and I'm dropping it off tomorrow at noonish... Minor annoyance...

did the seat back recall last week. drove th e car yesterday and the seat heater was on on 5 on both passenger and driver. but I wasn't roasting any chestnuts as the driver and my daughter was nice and toasty, so she claimed. so I looked under the Drivers seat. all is well and plugged in. passenger seat got warm so its not the fuse. I did notice on the Aldata site that the seat cushion and heating element are "throwaway" items when the the seats are dissasmbled... I haven't called the dealership yet to schedule a return visit..

Its a shame that you even need to consider having gap insurance... and yes it is a game... and we are on the team thats short handed...

Kelly, I have USAA, and if you have the ability to get USAA get them... in the past 10 years. I have hit them up for close to 40K. Home (new roof, gutters and siding) real bad( golf ball size and larger) hail storm Car Paintless dent removal and glass ($8K) on my wife saturn (same storm) 19,200 for a tree falling and totaling my prius 6 months ago... Now I have also used them for two other totaled vehicle claims (where they subrogated for me) IE I was not at fault.... Rates have not crept up except to account for a newer car, and larger newer home I figure between property and car insurance for the last twenty years we have "broken even"

problem with that is our cars are not holding their value very well, which means if you car is totaled or unrecovered, you are going to take a big hit in the wallet, especially if you purchased the car new...

the sheet aluminum cost me nothing, I have a bake bender at work. so all I'd have in it is time. We'll see how it goes...

SLP makes a good point. if you have even the slightest bit of moisture in your tank, I would imagine in the cold temps you may encounter the water freezing in the tank...Also with the empty tank, since you are taking in atmospheric air(and humidty) the large volume of air in the tank leads to potentially more moisture(condensation) That being said. if you watch the gauge when it turns red. it will actually show red lines under the lowest E line...IE like dial guages you can go below the markings... coupled with the DTE and the gallons used(reset trip meter at fill up). I have been filling up after DTE goes to zero, but when the gallons used hits around 12.5 and when I see the red show up below the empty line..
