  1. I use Firefox and a plugin called RIP (Remove it Permanently). It let's you remove arbitrary content on webpages.
  2. I wonder if it is based on your last tank average or something? My miles to e creeps up a tiny bit (I think, i haven't written this down to verify) everytime I fill the tank.
  3. Hmm, I've never seen that one. For me, it always thinks I'm farther right than I really am. Well not always, just every once in a while when it messes up. But when it does mess up, it puts me to the right. Does yours always put you behind?
  4. Because they don't want to bring the issue from the auto enthusiast world (which is where I believe it's at) to the rest of the world.
  5. I've read the entire manual and there was no mention of this. Not that that means anything, but I'm pretty sure it won't close on its own.
  6. Are you sure about that? I'm know next to nil about paint, but it's listed as a metallic tinted color. It's cheaper than the white platinum, which is a tri-coat. I'm thinking it's closer to a dual coat? In any case, the Dr. Colorchip paint matched perfect just by comparing the bottle to the car. I'm hoping a second coat would help, I just don't think I got enough paint on it. My concern with using a touch up pen (which I did buy from Ford before I found the Dr. Colorchip) is that I'll end up with a blob on the hood, and I'm not about to wet sand it.
  7. No, I like it. I also have the tilt swivel on it so I can adjust the angle somewhat. I never use the phone directly, I use all the car controls. So it's really just a place holder for the phone while I have it plugged in to charge. The most important thing to me, was to not block the vents and screen.
  8. It's the percentage difference. Going from a 10 mpg car to a 20 mpg car is a much bigger difference than going from a 30 mpg car to a 40 mpg car. I think the idea is it wouldn't make as big a diff on the C-Max since it gets such high MPG as is.
  9. Who knows? A crappy app on a good OS is crap too. Without ever getting access to the system, we'll never know.
  10. Another way to adjust the volume, is to change the volume knob, while she is speaking.
  11. When they sent out the 3.0.2 update, they sent out USB drives and Nav cards for free. Users also had the choice to install themselves, or take it to a dealer. I have never heard of a single instance of someone being charged for installation of a MFT update. Also, they extended the warranty of MFT to 5 years, going beyond the normal vehicle warranty of 3 years. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/11/28/myford-touch-getting-second-update-extended-warranty/
  12. Hopefully the new version of MFT will solve your problems with it.
  13. That is definitely a part of the MFT update 3.5.1. I don't know when the factory started installing the newer version. I, like many people, do not have this screen (and the supposed stability updates and voice quality improvements for people who you call) and am waiting for them to release it for download on the website.
  14. I bought the Dr. Colorchip. The chip dried lighter than the paint color, so I can still see it, but its defiantly better than it was. Maybe I'll try a second application at a later date. I tried to get a before and after shot, but the pictures didn't turn out.
  15. I had 4444.4 when I stopped for lunch on April 4th!
  16. I've seen that before too where it doesn't charge or discharge.
  17. I have the angled mount.
  18. I know that this is not the first time a car has gotten less than the EPA numbers. Has there ever been a case on the planet where a car maker advertised less than the EPA ratings?
  19. My will buzz sometimes as soon as I touch the door handle or open the door. Usually when I leave it in my garage unlocked I notice it.
  20. They've never charged for it in the past. My parents got their 2011 Ford Explorer updated for free.
  21. It's not a feature, its software problem with the sensor being asleep per other posts on this forum quoting a ford engineer.
  22. Theoretically you can plug in a USB Cellular Modem and create a wifi hotspot in the car.
  23. Do you mind giving me the general area where it's screwed up? Curious if my car does the same. (Assuming you are in the Valley somewhere.)
  24. I can't say I have had that happen (I normally use voice), but they do that so you can choose between a destination or waypoint. Try using voice instead when you are on that screen, just say "Set as Destination"
