  1. After growing up in New Mexico, I can definitely vouch for that.
  2. I use Empower almost all the time. I change My View around a lot.
  3. Again, that's not everyone's experience. including mine. Maybe something is wrong w/ your car, I don't know. Maybe there is more than one cause of the problem?
  4. That's just the taxes on the end product, the gasoline. I wouldn't be surprised if (I don't know for sure) there were a lot of other taxes that got rolled into the price, like taxes directly on the refineries.
  5. The Chevy Volt has well over 10 million lines of code (I can't find a number for C-Max, but it can't be too many orders of magnitude different.)
  6. It's possible that firmware in some other module (not part of MFT) that needs to be flashed before the new MFT update can be installed. That could explain why it's delayed for us but they are able to install in the factory.
  7. Yeah, I mainly meant it as tounge-in-cheek.
  8. That's not how it works. Every state has the right to enforce their own laws.
  9. More than once I've had the opposite problem of the Car not closing the tailgate completely. I get in and it says its AJAR (I mean it's clearly a door ;) ) So I just open w/ the button inside the car and close it again, and it fixes itself.
  10. Just don't drive to California :) I hear getting ticketed for out of state tint is pretty common.
  11. It was mentioned by a Ford Engineer to a member, that the problem is the sensor is "sleeping" and the first kick will wake it up. A software update is supposed to be released for it. Whether this is part of a TSB (which is what I would think) or MFT is really yet to be seen. In other cases, a forum member put some silicone grease around the latch and that helped him. I don't think it's by design at all to require 2 kicks and is definitely an issue.
  12. Sounds like it is a bogging down of the CPU. I'm a software engineer and we often run into situations where you change A, and un-related Q, R, and Triangle get affected.
  13. Are the issues that you guys are seeing "time jump"? Looking at it, seems that it is a cause of clock problems, not the cause.

    Howdy!

I'm a fan of Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance High Gloss http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009IQXJ0/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0009IQXJ0&linkCode=as2&tag=calipso-20 Just have to be careful because it can fly off and get on the paint.

Is that the Costco sunshade you have there? I found it too small.
  16. Just recently, when I choose the "View New Content", all I get is a blank page in Firefox. It's fine in IE.
  17. No, not really. I haven't had any glare problems in it. All the windows are tinted, maybe that helps.
  18. Right, but, at least in my car I have never been able to completely empty the battery display in the car. So that's why I was saying it is conceivable that an empty battery display really means an empty battery...but I doubt it.
  19. Yes, but the phone would have to get up that data. I can carry any sort of traffic over Ethernet, but the computer I'm talking to has to give it to me. If time is not in a standard bluetooth profile, then custom code would have to exist on the phone to allow it.
  20. Mine will often be one even if the sun is up because I'll be driving away from the sun and the car itself will cast a shadow on the sensor.
  21. Here's what we don't know. If empty on the battery display really means an empty battery. The battery may still have some energy left even if the display shows empty.
