  1. drdiesel, Thanks for that information. When I asked if they had downloaded the update that seemed to not be working correctly, I was told that this IDS should take care of any modules that didn't get updated properly. Does that make sense to you?
  2. I was in Etis today and had no problems.
  3. I finally got my car into the dealership to re-download the update due to poor mileage. When they plugged the car in to do the download, it was discovered that there was an additional update/recall that did not show on Etis or (whatever the program is they use at the shop). They only discovered it by hooking up the car. IDS showed there was another update, so they installed that update. The update has no number or name and doesn't show up on anything other than IDS. Part of me thinks this is the part of the original download that didn't get downloaded. Or, something else is weird. Anyway, we'll see what happens.
  4. I don't think so. Every car I've had turned the AC on when the defrost was on.
  5. Got mine a few days ago.
  6. If you are running the defrost, then you are running the AC - so that accounts for some of it. I live in Florida, and I've noticed that my mileage is worse when it is raining. Hopefully, the upgrade will help.
  7. My SA is amazing. My Ford dealership has been fabulous and has treated me exceptionally well. They have done everything within their power - and some things outside their power - to help me out. Your comment, however, is not helpful at all.
  8. My mileage continues to tank after the upgrade. I would expect to AT LEAST be getting the same as I was before, but that is not the case. I managed an incredible 48 mpgs one afternoon, but finished the tank at 42, which is really 39 at the pump. That is not acceptable when I used to get 44 to 45 on the dashboard for a tank. My car will not drop into EV at all above 65 - and that includes going down hills. And I drive mainly on the highway, so that 'sweet spot' was really helping me. I called my service adviser and he said it's possible that only half of the update installed correctly. I'm taking it in tomorrow morning to reinstall the update and see what happens. I believe this can definitely happen because my first tank AFTER the upgrade ended at 45 on the dashboard with over 521 miles for the tank - my highest ever. After that, it's been all downhill. The only thing I'm seeing is that the battery is now running at nearly full most of the time - but that's with me forcing the car into EV whenever there's an incline. I'll let you know what happens after the reinstall. So again, for those who are saying we should not see higher mileage when driving at 70, remember that I drive between 65 and 70 every day for my commute, and I've seen a steady decrease in mileage after the upgrade. I've changed my driving style to accommodate the new upgrade, but it isn't working other than keeping the battery at full. Last weekend I made a 300 mile trip from central Florida to south Florida - mostly flat. Before the upgrade, I got 38 mpg, which is what I expected. After the upgrade, I got 37 mpg with me riding the 'controls' the entire way in order to force it into EV in order to do some coasting where appropriate.
  9. I just made a trip to south Florida. Pre-update, I got 38 mpg at 70 mph. Post-update, I got 37 mpg at 73 mph. I was hoping for a bit more.
  10. I hope they fix your C-max right up!
  11. Definitely, the engine runs longer. I have noticed that the AC isn't quite as cold, but to be honest, the heat here is so awful right now, I can't tell if that's due to the upgrade, or just the fact that this summer sucks. I've also been a little concerned at the high pitch whine. It was there before, but not as loud. However, it seems to be part of the adjustments made by the update, so I'm assuming it's "normal."
  12. No apologies necessary! That's what summer is for! My new job has me commuting too many hours, which takes up my 'free' time during the day. By the time I take care of the five animals, walk the dog, water the plants, clean the house, have some dinner, it's time for bed. I'm in Florida, so the yard work never really ends here.
  13. I drove my car differently today on the highway. Speed was between 60 and 70 mph, and my mileage was greatly improved. I think you have to drive your car on the highway the same way you drive it in the city. Forget about the way it used to be driven on the highway prior to the update. We'll see how this tank works out for me.
  14. After two tanks that tanked - barely making it to 42 average for the tank, I filled up at a different gas station. I ended up having to make a surprise trip this afternoon that I wasn't expecting to make. I was on the 'red,' so I filled up at a different gas station and changed my highway driving tactics a bit. The result was 73 miles at 48.7 mpg. I was at 49.2, but lost a few mpgs driving on a stretch of road where I always do poorly.
  15. Anthony, I think we're talking about two different things. You can reset your EV+ locations by turning your car on and off 11 times while parked at the destination. I was talking about how ICE was running longer than normal and not switching over to EV as the car used to. Read my next post for more info.
  16. Perhaps I had unrealistic expectations of the upgrade. But that first full tank was amazing. So, I have no idea!
  17. I just took a drive to the vet with the dog. Here's what's happening - the car doesn't go into EV mode easily. So it's running on ICE most of the time. And in ICE, I'm rarely getting close to 40 mpgs. Battery is generally around 50 to 75% full.
  18. I'm glad that they will have to fix it, though.
  19. I drive using the ECO cruise pretty much all the time. After the update, I had hoped to see the numbers that everyone else was seeing in the city, but it hasn't worked out that way for me. The first tank was great. After that, my mileage just keeps dropping. I guess I need to adjust how I drive more??
  20. My first tank after the update was GREAT. More mileage, better average of mpg, etc. Second tank was not as great. But I thought it was due to the two hours I spent in a traffic jam not moving much. That's a mileage killer. But I did get 496 miles on that tank. Third tank - WTH? I can't get past 40.0 mpg. It's the same temperature outside. I'm running the AC the same way. Same gas station. Driving the same way. I'm stumped. Perhaps my mileage will suddenly jump up this week...??
  21. I stuffed my keys in my pocket this morning while walking the dog. Came back to the house to find all four windows down. So I think it must be rather easy to mash that button down.
  22. Good to know! I haven't tried Pandora on my phone for a long while. I think I'll try it today. :)
