I hear that Ford is working on new ground up designed hybrid. They will not make C Max hybrids any more. Hope that the new car will have the headroom of our maxes. I'm 6' 4" and that was the big selling point for me. Everything else I love about my Max was just icing on the cake.

Wow! Ohio is a blue island surrounded be a sea of yellow and orange. Wonder how long until this island sinks?

I wonder if they are just not going to make hybrid c maxes and still sell them in Europe with gas and versions.

Hi I drive 35 miles one way mostly freeway driving to work and get 46-50 mpg in the warm weather( gotten a high of 54.3 mpg one way). It drops to 40-43mpg in the winter months

I put tinting on my windows. Along with a sun shade in the windshield to keep the sun out, it seems to do well parked in the sun all day.

Here is what I put on mine. It's called a glide away rack. As you can see you don't have to take the bikes off or lay them down to access the hatch.

Was pulling out of the parking lot at work tonight and right in front of me a white SE. I waved as I pasted in the turn lane but the woman driving didn't look over.

I double click the lock button on the thob to make sure. You should hear the horn sound when all of the doors are locked. If not a door is ajar somewhere. Back hatch is my problem not closing all of the way.

A few people I work with have Prius so I test drove one. The ride beat me to death. The seats made my back hurt. :nonono: CMax was a smoooooooth quiet ride and the seats were great. Loved the upright seating position. I was sold. Ordered one that day. :wub2:

Is see C Maxes all over the place here in central Ohio. I was on my way to work this morning and just happen to look over next to me was a Fusion Hybrid same color (silver) as my Maxie. Got behind him and followed him for 20 miles. We were representing :rockon:

Noticed this last week to. It was cooling the car nicely in AUTOMATIC MODE then the blower slowed as normal. Noticed it getting warm inside so I turned it on manual mode and turned up the blower speed. The air was hardly coming out of the vents. Started working on its own a 15 minutes later. Switch back to auto mode and worked fine. Going in for oil change in a few days. I'll have it checked out.

I found this February 2013 just after I ordered my car. I downloaded it and read all of it by the time my car was delivered. Along with having the pdf of the owners manual and joining this site I knew more about the car than the saleman.

Welcome and Congrats :love_shower: This is the site to learn all about you new C-Max. There are lots of things that the owners manual doesn't cover that you can only find out here. I joined the site the day I ordered my Maxie and 6 weeks later when she came in I knew more about her than the dealership. (It also helped that I downloaded the owners manual to my tablet and read it cover to cover). Don't forget to wave at the people pumping gas as you drive by. :salute:

I bought mine last year. Started seeing them every so often. Always they are driving by. I had the only one in the parking lot at work in a sea of SUV's until last month. Someone has gotten a Ruby Red SEL now. Haven't been able to find who it belongs to, but I keep watching and checking.

Just wanted to see if anyone noticed this commercial, They have a commercial out for General Insurance Co. that shows a guy back his C-Max into some trashcans at the end of his driveway. I just laugh and think what's wrong with this guy. His back up camera not working.? How about the back up sensors? The beeping not loud enough for him? :lol2:

Just installed a glide away hitch mount bike rack. (4 bike capacity) I like that you can still access the hatch area without having to remove the bikes. Shown with 29" cruiser bike. Plenty of room for my 26:" mountain bike also. (See Pics.)

FedEx delivered my torklift econo hitch today. I got one with the 2" receiver. I'll be installing it tomorrow. I have a swing away bike rack on the way to. Hope I get it for Memorial weekend. Be nice to go for a bike ride on a rails to trails. Guess I can always drive my truck.

Maybe in a couple of more years we can buy replacement batteries with twice the range and be the same size as our regular hybrid battery. Or we could just trade up to the latest and greatest.

Got off work yesterday. Temp was 80. My 33 mile trip home at 70mph. 54.3 mpg. Last tank got 507 miles with still 1.5 gal. in the tank at fill up. Heading for another 500+ mile tank this time. I love my Maxie :love_shower:
